I'm writing a book and I need some advice about government. Basically, my main character descends on the Capitol building to force Congress to give him infallible, incontestable executive authority. For this to happen, I imagine that both the House and Senate have to approve it with an amendment of some kind. I don't know enough about where in the Capitol building the legislature runs. If anyone can give me any advice about this since the situation I came up with is unprecedented. Thanks

As a published author, I will tell you this. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. Go to the library and they will help you find books on the subject. Google and Bing are your friends, so is Wikipedia. Use them. There are also a multitude of tools to help authors create their characters and many other things. Check them out.
