Far more were killed by cars today, Vehicle casualty lives matter, ban cars, no one "needs" to drive over 45.

Can we get you to provide your source of information?

And these states: Idaho, W. Virginia, Wyoming, Montana, Alabama, N. Dakota are all in the top ten for gun ownership yet are in the bottom half for murder rate. We can twist statistics all day.

Just ask them to participate in the Government's friendly "buy back" program.

There should be a law prohibiting 15 year olds from shooting people with guns.

    CA already has that law:
The 2008 California Dangerous Weapons Control Law modified California Penal Code §12035 defining criminal storage of a firearm as keeping "any loaded firearm within any premises that are under his or her custody or control and he or she knows or reasonably should know that a child is likely to gain access to the firearm." A person may be charged with a crime, if he or she keeps a loaded firearm, and the child takes the firearm to a public place or causes injury.

Because the fact that he was Asian had been part of the original description of him by the media, they further expanded on it in subsequent reports. So I did the same.

Thank GOD that when I was a teen and took Dad's gun up into the hills to shoot at varmints, he was not arrested. CA did not have that law then.

What gun law would have prevented this shooting?

They need to arrest the parents and put 'em on a very public trial and give 'em the maximum penalty.

For that, there needs to be an actual desire to enforce the gun laws.

Not too many Asian People believe in Gheezhus, though. Just say'n.

Personally, I think all Man Made Religious Mind Control sects should be banned from planet earth. That would take the world one step closer to sanity through the portal of reality, down the corridor of common sense and to the alter of better judgement. May we all worship Better Judgement, vehemently.

Or, let's put a different spin on it. Let's create a Brand New Religion predicated on real ethics, morals, integrity, character, principles and priorities. I'd worship that in a heartbeat and I would seek to convert as many to the new religion as possible. If we're gonna do religion then let's do the sucker right. Let's do it real justice.

Hallelujah and pass the Ethics. Let's all start speaking in Moral Tongues. Oh, hell yeah. Amen.

You mean a real desire to reduce Immoral Violent Acts of Crime. But, that's not what the Anarchists want. The Anarchists want to spawn more Anarchy, so they can conveniently remove their Anarchist Hat and slip on their Protector Hat in the form of Martial'esk Laws.

See, everyone is waiting for the big Aha! moment where suddenly, Federal Police along with the National Guard, like in some made for Hollywood production epic, swoop down on every city and town to declare Martial Law like Jesus coming back to declare the world as being under his absolute power. It ain't gonna happen that way. It is going to be Incrementally applied.

You are witnessing this Martial'esk Law take place right now in places like California, where I live. Out here, we've got a "Approved Handgun Roster" where the State dictates what you can buy and what you can own. If the handgun you desire is not on their "Approved Handgun Roster," then you cannot legally transfer it into your possession, nor can a reseller legally offer it for sale in their place of business under their FFL. Both things are illegal in the State of California. But, it does not end there with this State.

Recent legislation now requires a literal "Background Check" and "Registration" with the State for purchasing ammunition. You have to pay a fee to the State, merely for the "privileged" of purchasing ammunition for the firearm that the State allows you to own or possess. Here's the kick in the head. If your State Identification says "Federal Limits Apply," meaning that if you do not have the new so-called Real ID, then you must present either a Passport (I'm not kidding) or Birth Certificate that PROVES you are a Citizen. If your Papyrus are not in order (Your Papers Please!), then you will be DENIED the "privileged" of purchasing ammunition for your State "approved" firearm.

Oh, but that ain't all folks. Nooooo. We are talking incremental Martial'esk Law here, so that can't be the end of the story. Nope.

A new law now on the books, enables ANYONE who believes you are a danger to yourself or a danger to others, to walk into an Ex-Parte Hearing (where you are not allowed to defend yourself) with a Judge and/or Magistrate, to declare you unfit to possess a firearm. After said Ex-Parte Hearing, California State Police or Local Police will be dispatched to your home or place of business for the sole purpose of confiscating ALL of your legally owned and constitutionally protected firearms. All without Due Process. We have already the Police shoot and kill a 60 year old man who was legally in possession of firearms on his property and in his possession because of this warped violation of the United States Constitution. It is called a GRO. Gun Restraining Order. And, it falls under the guise of the California State Legislature pretending to be engaged in the process of saving lives while protecting those who are under imminent threat by Gun Owners.

Martial Law? Oh, its here. Its is definitely here already.

At 16 it was one of my responsibilities to use unsecured firearms. The problem is a people problem. Not guns or access to guns.

Law enforcement so far have not found the source of the gun or a motivation for the shooting. He was an honor student seemingly well liked with a girlfriend and friends who had not appeared to be depressed or despondent.
