Yeah, 'me too', Perotista.... I was a life-long, card-carrying member of the Republican Party until summer 2017, and then I finally gave it up and became what we in Colorado call "Unaffiliated". The cowardly, hypocritical "RINO's" in what used to be the "Republican" Party ruined it for me at last, although I stuck it out until the bitter end, even managing to choke down that final four years of the "W" Bush term when he was nothing but a docile handpuppet for the Federal Reserve central bank. We are probably becoming more and more like the British, or especially, the Germans, with highly diverse, fragmented political party systems, and all the back-stabbing intrigues and corruption that always goes along with such 'parliamentary' systems and their 'coalitions'. In truth, today they're no more corrupt than we are! And as we Americans grow to hate each other more and more every damned day, we, like the Germans, will get to the point where we cannot stand to be in each other's presence, and so we'll all go off into our own little political 'menstruation huts', plotting each other's destruction. . "Hell, yes, I'm smiling! Why would I NOT be smiling...?"
How about as a riposte to the sort of people who would post an opinion poll of such extreme left wing bias?
We are very fragmented. But a parliamentary system is out. The Republicans and Democrats write our election laws and they do so a a mutual protection act. If there is one thing both major parties agree on, it's no viable third party will ever rise. They love their monopoly and they intend to keep it. The two major parties strength, those who affiliate, identify with the two parties has dropped from around 75% of the electorate during Reagan down to around 55-60% today to coincide with the rise of independents. But the two major parties are much more in control of our election system than they were during Reagan despite of their drop in numbers. When we had the wave election of 1994, that was the first one since the 1948 election. When a party loses 30 or more seats and control of the house. Since then we've had wave elections in 2006, 2010 and 2018. 3 in 12 years, 4 in 24 years when there was 46 year separation prior to 1994. Since we can't vote in a third party to get rid of these politicians we dislike, we put the party out of power back into power. Then switch them ever so often when we think the party in power has gone too far. We've done the same with president's, Republican, Bush then Democrat, Clinton, then Republican, Bush II, Democrat, Obama and now a Republican, Trump. I think the hate each party shows toward the other, the above is the result we show toward the two parties. Besides the growth in independents which I assume got tired of all the hate. I've stated many times that Trump is the result of our current political era of divisiveness, polarization, ultra high partisanship and hate. Not the cause, that began a couple to three decades ago and has got worst as time goes by.
Because I don't have a mental illness... https://summit.news/2020/02/12/surv...to-have-been-diagnosed-with-a-mental-illness/
Poll is junk. Options that would make it less junk: I like Trumps policies I like Trump better than socialism I like Trump better than PC authoritarianism I prefer nationalism to globalism
I'm picking "I'm knowingly supporting evil". Now I'm sitting back, drumming my fingers together, and grinning. Your move TDS Nation.
From the perspective that individualism can detract from the Greater Good, you are supporting 'evil.' Me too.
The question was, how do you justify supporting his constant lies and deception. Either you believe them or you don't care. Which is it? Do I need to make this simpler for trumpers to understand? I thought the post was pretty clear. And I had the option that you believe him and think he's a great man. So you believe him and think he is a terrible person? Do you not believe him and believe him to be a bad person but don't care? As long as you support his policies you would elect Hitler?
I was a Republican half my adult life and an Independent ever since. It wouldn't matter to me if trump was a dem. independent, green party, or anything else. This is 100% about trump; his constant lies and manipulation, his attacks on every critical component of a free society, his attacks on people who only did the right thing, his dead heart and black soul. My opinions have nothing to do with party loyalty, liberalism, or any of the crap the right wing doles out. I'm just shocked, sickened, and horrified that almost half the country would support a freakin monster. This is how Hitler's are made, beyond a doubt! The man is clearly evil. There are dozens of examples that I could call to mind without even looking. Are you really so blind that you see this as politics? This is about good and evil. I will never support evil and will always call out those who do support it.
Except he isn't evil. What's evil is what the left is doing to him because they don't like him. That you don't see THAT as evil says a lot, GOT IT!
I'm not a lefty. I was a Republican half of my adult life and Independent ever since. So your flawed thinking and bias are fully exposed.
Do you think he tells the truth 99% of the time? 95%? 50%? 10%? And don't try to justify trump by pointing to your crackpot claims about the left. This is about trump.
So you don't care what he does or says as long as he wins. Got it. Thanks. These options were available in the poll. Do I need to use a larger font or something? Could it be that trumpers simply don't want to admit the truth about the themselves?
I saw no option for "this is a dumb poll, loaded with bias and propaganda" so sadly, I wast unable to cast a vote. *insert wanker emogi
And where were you when "Messiah" Obama broke the LAW no fewer than THREE TIMES during his presidency...?! Are you really naive enough to think that 'evil' originated with Donald Trump...?! Was Lyndon B. Johnson 'evil' for getting us into Vietnam and getting 60,000 American military personnel killed for NOTHING?! Was Frankie Roosevelt 'evil' for us being "back-doored" into WWII for no good reason at all and getting 460,000 U. S. military personnel killed?! Hint: we and the Brits cut off Japan's total oil supply when we were at PEACE with them, and then they retaliated! Was Woody Wilson 'evil' for getting us into WWI and getting 117,000 U. S. military personnel killed for no good reason?
I think he is a man with faults, but no, I would not vote for Hitler. I agree with him on most, but not all, of his policies. And I prefer him over Hillary Clinton by far, so I don't regret my vote in 2016. And, on a policy level, the Democrats are not running anyone I want to vote for. So there ya go.
