Except that we have been adorning our bodies with tattoos since we first crawled out of the rocks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_tattooing
That one is much better work. The Mueller one is cartoonish, portraits should not have solid outlines. The hillary one is the best work, but, no thanks.
When 14 year old girls and boys are begging their mommies to get one, it's a pop trend. Sounds like One Direction and Jonas Brothers to me
Well, you can choose to disregard the use of tattooing throughout the span of mankind on Earth. I choose to look at it as continuing one of the oldest traditions that we as a species possess.
We did a lot of things since the dawn of time. 14 year old girls weren't in their rooms crying because their parents said no. It's a raging fad now
I am instantly turned off by tattoos on chicks, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't get one. I favor the ass. Even if you're in speedos down the beach it's not visible. You can whip it out at will.
No, Eric, this latest series of studies focuses on the PIGMENT in the tat-ink itself! "The elements that make up the ink in tattoos travel inside the body in micro and nanoparticle forms and reach the lymph nodes, according to a study published in Scientific Reports on 12 September by scientists from Germany and the ESRF, the European Synchrotron, Grenoble (France). It is the first time researchers have found analytical evidence of the transport of organic and inorganic pigments and toxic element impurities as well as in depth characterization of the pigments ex vivo in tattooed tissues. Two ESRF beamlines were crucial in this breakthrough." Link: https://phys.org/news/2017-09-nanoparticles-tattoos-circulate-body.html Here's another that focuses on dangerous crap in the INK, not 'broken needle fragments': https://www.comsol.com/blogs/studying-the-safety-of-tattoos-with-mass-spectrometry-and-x-rays/ . "... the researchers found evidence suggesting that tattoo pigments do in fact translocate from skin to lymph nodes. They analyzed the four tattooed skin samples containing either red, orange, green, or black ink, as well as two normal skin samples as the control. Pigment particles were detected in the lymph nodes in two of the four tattooed donor samples." You are correct when you accurately say that, "Every single thing you do in life has risk. There is no getting away from that." But, perhaps even you would agree with me that getting a TATTOO involves risk of lethal diseases that NOBODY needs to take, and is completely avoidable!
Suddenly, it seems nobody wants to talk about this lurking danger that leads to lymphoma. That is understandable! "36% of Americans between the age of 18 and 29 have at least one tattoo." From Link: http://www.historyoftattoos.net/tattoo-facts/tattoo-statistics/ . "47% of Millennials Have a Tattoo With summer at its peak, tattoos are more visible than ever. Overall, 29 percent of Americans aged 18 or older have a tattoo, according to a 2015 Harris Poll. This is nearly double the 16 percent of 2003. With such rapid growth, the percentage with a tattoo today is certainly higher than the 29 percent of 2015. Here are the 2015 stats by generation... Percent with at least one tattoo by generation Millennials: 47% Gen Xers: 36% Boomers: 13% Older: 10% Source: The Harris Poll, Tattoo Takeover: Three in Ten Americans Have Tattoos, and Most Don't Stop at Just One" Link: https://demomemo.blogspot.com/2018/08/47-of-millennials-have-tattoo.html NOW, browse this information and ask yourself if you REALLY want to contaminate your lymph nodes with tattoo ink: https://www.hematology.org/Patients/Cancers/Lymphoma.aspx Oh, you already HAVE a tattoo...? Well, enjoy being alive today... for as long as you're still alive... and before you start having to undergo chemotherapy.... . "What was I THINKING...?!"
a lot of otherwise sensible women have been influenced by the dominant liberal culture to think self mutilation is cool But tattoos and body piercing are for losers I’m told that the tattoo removal industry is taking off in a big way as women come to their senses
Everything in life comes with a cost. Tattoos are not a major crisis. One may develop complications later in life, but that is their choice. A bigger issue is diet and exercise.
Typically, tattoos were always associated with seamen, criminals and other groups of society's underclass. Something has happened in our culture where the formation of a huge crack between the "classes" has allowed degenerated phenomenons from the under-class to pour down to the majority and with our species being a hghly memetic one, trends are quickly spread and popularised. A degenerated culture that lacks symbols and proper role models and meaning combined with an ever increasing timepreference has allowed tattoos to almost become the norm. I am a Millennial and sometimes it even feels as if those with tattoos are in the small majority now.
Tattoos used to be the kiss of death at a job interview, but someone with the ability to sit for hours being jabbed by a needle may be perfect for board meetings!
Now that was a very interesting, intellectual, and insightful response! Your spot-analysis about a "huge crack between the "classes" has allowed degenerated phenomenons from the under-class to pour down to the majority" is right on target, IMHO.... I don't know where you're located, but here in the metro areas of Denver, Colorado Springs, etc., it seems like at least half the people under about 45 are all 'tattet-up'. And not all of them are "trashy", either! One guy I actually have a lot of respect for, who is a professional dental assistant in a practice that specializes in extractions has full "panels" of tattoos! My gut-feel is that scarcely anyone who has gotten tattoos even begins to realize the very real potential dangers they've brought on themselves. Hepatitis of any kind would be enough to scare the hell out of me, but now that LYMPHOMA is clearly indicated, I honestly feel that the federal government should dig into this, fast.
Girls with bright hair are like animals with bright colors in the wild: Generally indicates a poisonous creature. Its trying to WARN YOU OFF
I used to tattoo professionaly in my early 20's and have over 60 myself. I made good money at it but one day I simply lost interest in it. Been over 13 years since my last piece and I seriously doubt I'll ever get another. In todays age of 'superbugs' breaking the skin for non medical reasons, is unwise.
My thought is women with crazy hair colors want more attention than any one man can give and id prefer not to share my girlfriend wife with others if possible
What is more of a danger? Tattoos or being overweight? The majority of people seem to be horribly overweight. What about drinking, smoking, driving, guns, sexual preference, stress, pollution..... Can you tell a person's political preference by what bothers them?
Why thank you, sir. I live in Sweden and am in my mid-late twenties and in my age group, I would say it is about 50:50 too. I think it is more common amongst women. I find it very weird when authority figures like doctors, policemen, teachers and dentists have tattoos. I doubt anyone with a tattoo has engaged in any form of long term thinking whatsoever; it felt right for the moment, so they just went on and did it. I think there is some kind of "social paradox" where people do it to be unique and edgy, but because everybody wants to be unique and edgy, everybody ends up the same.
