As far as I am concerned, as soon as Trayvon physically asaulted Zimmerman he was justified in shooting him.

 

Why was he unarmed?

Was he a citizen who failed to bear an RPG?

I followed your wife while she walked through my neighborhood. When i stopped her to ask what business she had in my neighborhood she panicked and maced me. So i shot her and killed her in self defense. The moment she maced me i had every right to shoot her.

Would she be alive today if i didnt stalk her causing her to act...yes. same with Zimmerman. The moment he got out of his car armed he was asking for trouble. The kid had every right to defend himself against a stalker.

 

How do you know his life wasn't in danger? You can beat someone to death with your fists. If someone attacks you with fists, you can defend yourself with a gun.

Maybe in a more conservative state, if Martin was caught in the act and fleeing, the Zimmerman fellow would get off. But "suspicious" is an objective term, and no court of law is going to allow pursuit of individuals in these circumstances. It is up to law enforcement to investigate what a citizen deems "suspicious". That is my guess how this will all end. Zimmerman is going away. If in a more liberal state, for a very long time. He will no doubt make the case that the gun went off on accident by advise from lawyers. The only person who could legally claim self-defense in this situation is the corpse. The case for self-defense will never be made by Zimmerman's lawyers. For if the jury doesn't buy it, he is then guilty of murder vs manslaughter. A major difference in punishment.

Will never happen. If he was law enforcement, maybe. But a private citizen? Not a chance. His lawyers will argue gun went off on accident. Being that both sides will have trouble proving their case, prosecutors will throw a manslaughter 2 deal out there. Zimmerman's lawyers out of sheer fear a jury will nail him to the wall on a murder conviction will convince him to accept. The sentence will be up to the judge, but I bet he does at least a nickel.

We are in a day and age where white people are getting poorer and poorer. It's not like this is the 50's.
