When your speech contains so much lies that even FOX news can't cover for you, you have a problem. Well to everyone that wouldn't vote for Capone instead of Obama...

Lots of links in the article.

A glaring error in the article and a continued mistake that people make is claiming that the credit downgrade was caused by the debt ceiling crisis. That was mentioned along with not doing anything about the debt. People ignore the last part for the first part when the debt ceiling crisis ended before the downgrade. Talk about deception. The downgrade happened anyway because nothing is being done about the debt problem.

If one issue is suspect in the article, all is.

It's an opinion piece...nice of you to point out how Fox is "Fair and Balanced". Clearly they are. ((But, your OP is false since you put it in quotes))

    S&P

"Republicans and Democrats have only been able to agree to relatively modest savings on discretionary spending while delegating to the Select Committee decisions on more comprehensive measures. It appears that for now, new revenues have dropped down on the menu of policy options. In addition, the plan envisions only minor policy changes on Medicare and little change in other entitlements, the containment of which we and most other independent observers regard as key to long-term fiscal sustainability."

Sadly, in the actual article she provides a link that proves her assertion, which you wouldnt know as you didn;t click on it. Here is the link

Actually I put it in quotes as I was QUOTING from the text of the article. You know, quotes, quoting.

Thank you for demonstrating your grasp on the rules of the English language.

That's because if you're not going to raise the debt ceiling then you suddenly do have to worry about the debt. Otherwise you do not have to worry about it much.

Thank you for agreeing with her that Paul Ryan lied when he said the S&P downgrade was due to spending (which, according to Forbes, Obama has reigned in anyway. See http://www.forbes.com/sites/rickung...isenhower-would-you-believe-its-barack-obama/ )

Uh....WHAT? Look at the author of your article.......

I love it when the left catagorizes Fox as anything BUT fair and balanced. They hired a hard left winger, the author of the article as a commentator. Maybe the OP can point out where CNN, MSNBC or CNBC has hired any one from the right to their staff? Why should we be surprised when she gives Ryan a bad review?

Joe Scarborough. 3 hour show in the morning. You're welcome.

Oh yeah, CNN? Piers Morgan, ex editor of several right ring newspapers in England, including the Sun, Fox's flagship newspaper over there.

That was easy. 2 right wingers hosting major shows on their main broadcast channels rather than being the token lib on their staff. And I didn't even have to look at their staff websites.

And thank you for attacking the messenger rather than the message. Fact is, IF PAUL RYAN WAS NOT LYING you should be able to prove it easily. A lie is a lie whether someone is left or right.

So was Paul Ryan lying or not?

What did you expect when the title is "Even FOX news calls Paul Ryans speach..."

It's not my assertion Ryan's lying, that's yours and yours to prove. Prove it or don't, it's all the same to me if your thread looks foolish.

No he was not, debt, which is caused by spending, is the #1 reason for the credit downgrade. The #2 reason was the fact that the government could not work together to find a solution on the debt ceiling. Since Obama is CiC and the leader of this country, that failure also falls on his shoulders as leading the government is his responsibility.

Either was it's got Obama's face all over it.

Generally, proper spelling is also considered part of the, "rules of the English language". You might want to check your thread title. ;)

So, are you admitting Fox is fair and balanced?

What a bunch of crap... to provide you with an analogy you may understand, you just got yourself a new and shiny credit card, spent all the money the bank let's you borrow with it and say to yourself - well... I do not have to worry about it much... It is precisely because Liberals operate on this principle, we are where we are, financially.

Thanks for pointing out that, in its effort to be "fair-and-balanced", FOX News does include content generated from libs and even occasional hyperlibs.

Oh, BTW, we WILL be seeing more "stimulus", bond-buying, or some other Keynesian sleight-of-hand by the evil genius of the Federal Reserve System, Ben "Bailout" Bernanke, about the middle of next month. It will probably come too late to save his handpuppet, Obama, who's looking more and more like a dead duck....

MSNBC has Michael Steele who was the head of the republican party. Also Joe on The Morning Joe was a former Repblican congressman.

Um, no, Fox News didn't call it a pile of cow dung...

An opinion piece on Fox News, however, did say

    Just stating the facts...

Spoken like a true liberal. You will speak about lies, but you will give no examples I suppose. It's easy to say anyone is a liar, isn't it? Still waiting for all the FOX NEWS lies...I guess we'll keep waiting.

Well what about Paul Ryans speech last night. He used an example of a auto plant closing and blamed it on Obama. Under revue it has the plant closing while Bush weas in office. A Mistake, a lie, what would you call that. The medicare cut thing has been shown to be a lie, which he keeps repeating. Romney has said his campaign will not be driven by fact checkers. I take that to mean the truth doesn't matter. What say you?

Suranis, you quoted an editorial that was full of crap. That had as its links other blog pieces.

The Janesville GM Plant ceased production in June of 2009. It would down production for eight months prior, and it was clear it was not going to survive for those months, but the last truck rolled out in June 2009.

Obama did ignore his own debt commission. Ryan voted against it because he wanted more cuts. Obama ignored it all regardless.

Ryan's budget included Medicare Cuts because they were currently law. Obamacare passed ............... duh !

We were downgraded for lack of debt control. Raising the limit or not has nothing to do with such.

Libs are going to stay deeply entrenched in their lies, not just through the election, but until the end of time. Its what libs do.

No. You heard a lie, and now repeat it as fact. Janesville closed in June, 2009, when its last contract to produce trucks was filled.

As of an hour ago, Wikipedia still had accurate information.
