OMG, who would have thought Baraq was a communist?
"I just want to spread the wealth around" "If you got a business, you didnt build that" "The Private Sector is doing just fine" "I actually believe in Redistribution" ....but you cant call him a Socialist, Communist, or Marxist. . . .
The (*)(*)(*)(*)ing fraud lets us know plenty when he's off script, but I bet Obama's college papers are littered with his collectivist political philosophy.
The thing is, this speech when you listen to it is about redistribution to the poorest and acquiescent to the criticisms of those who feel housing and public schools did a terrible job, and that's just a Democratic plank. This is no big "score" or find anymore than Romney supporting Israel. To those of us who don't like big government for real--not just pretend not to like it--both Romney and Obama are frightening as hell. They both look at our debt of 16 trillion and don't seem to think that this is alarming, or else it doesn't register that you're not supposed to "redistribute" money you don't have or give aid from money you don't have. There is nothing to redistribute anymore nor money to give our allies. We are broke.
I wish he would take it a step further. I want him to go on record saying that he believes that capitalism is corrupt/flawed, and that the wealth that exists today was acquired via unscrupulous methods. That's the only reason to support redistribution — it's unfair that some people have wealth while other people do not.
Let me ask you this: do you think liberals care if he does? No. The two parties are locked into their platform and candidate. I believe both of them could sacrifice babies in march in front of an alter of Molech and people won't care.
The re-distribution Conservatives fear so much has already happened. It started back in the Reagan 80s and Romney wants to put it on steroids. The re-distribution has gone from the bottom up and they call it Suppy Side economics.
Liberals won't care, but undecided independents might. Depends on how comfortable they are with having a socialist President.
You realize that many people vote based on how likable someone is rather than their positions. I'm just depressed that I live here now. It's like American turned into an eternal high school lunch room or something.
i hate to say I told ya so, but I told ya so.... It boggles my mind that anyone would ever vote for this guy. or vote for one of his tax hikes.... pure insanity.
Do the math, not the bumper sticker. The rich will always pay more taxes because the control more of the wealth. It's not so difficult once you put your mind to it. If someone makes $3,000,000 every year and someone else makes $30,000 who will pay a bigger portion of the tax revenue? But who controls more wealth by a factor of 100?
Republicans who would care are voting for Romney anyway (and Fox News will cover it). Play it for Democrats and you'll just make them happy to vote for Obama.
There's the real Barack Obama, he hasn't apologized for what he said has he? If there was any question as to his socialist roots this audio sure removes all doubt. So the question for this election is really, do you want every aspect of your life controlled by a small pack of blue blood elitist slobs who know better than you what you should think, want and need while they enjoy the "privilege" of being the ruling class or in a country where you can work hard, get ahead and enjoy the fruits of your own hard work?
The top 1% earn approximately 17% of the country's yearly income, and pay nearly 40% of the entire federal tax burden. The bottom 50% earn approximately 13.5% of the country's yearly income and pay 2.25% of the federal tax burden. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-soi/09in03etr.xls It's hilarious when MSNBC parroting liberals speak of bumper stickers.
Except you didn't finish your equation. If each pays 10%, then the guy making $3,000,000 pays $300,000 and the guy making $30,000 should pay $3,000, correct? So if there are 500 people making $30,000 for every one person making $3,000,000, the 500 should be paying $1,500,000 million. That said, why should the guy making $3,000,000 pick up the slack on the 500 not paying anything?
Because that one guy is a greedy evil capitalist who exploited everyone else and gamed the corrupt system. Those 500 people are victims who deserve compensation.
