Please give a listing of all the life that went extinct that you claim occurred in the past 3 billion years or so.

That's ok you don't need to do that because I know you really don't have a list, you are just spouting off nonsense.

You are not even certain if earth was around 3 billion years ago let alone what life went extinct...lol

Just plain silly to be talking about billions of years ago...lol

the sad part is that you are serious.

You aren't going to tell me you believe that dinosaurs and humans were contemporary, are you?

Ever heard of a megalodon? a 52 foot shark that lived 20 million years ago.

Or a paraceratherium? a 16 foot tall 26 foot long herbivore

Why would christians believe this? God stopped creating after 6 days and rested.
So, the christian perspective is, the universe is the same now as it was after 6 days of creation.
Unless you don't believe the bible or at least add to what the bible says.

    WRONG!!!!

Nevertheless, ancient Archaean lead ores of galena have been used to date the formation of Earth as these represent the earliest formed lead-only minerals on the planet and record the earliest homogeneous lead-lead isotope systems on the planet. These have returned age dates of 4.54 billion years with a precision of as little as 1% margin for error.

Awww... that infamous day seven... Gee.. I wonder what God did on day 8. Care to speculate? Well, if all of what God was doing stopped on day 7, then that would imply that God is no longer working. Is that what you are suggesting?

Nice little convenience that little margin of error is. Even any margin of error, indicates that error is inevitable. So, the margin of error is just there to in an attempt to justify the remaining numbers.. which amount to guess work... based on numerology.

It's proper to speak in two ways of God "creating."

Let's look closely as to what Genesis says: "So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day God had finished His work of creation, so He rested from all His work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when He rested from all His work of creation."---Gen. 2:1-3 NLT

Clearly it is obvious that the passage neither says nor implies that no additional creations would be forthcoming, but simply that the Lord's initial work of creation had been completed.

Common sense tells us that not everything God would create was created at that point. After all, each human soul is a later creation, since the soul is created directly by God at the moment of conception--it does not derive from the souls of the parents.

But God creates in another sense. Genesis 1 tells us that God brought into being all matter that would ever exist. He created the various parts of the universe out of that primordial matter
    .
Everything in the universe stars, comets, and nebulae, have formed, disintegrated and re-formed many times from the same matter. The same is true for all the animal and plant life on earth.

While we see that Genesis emphasizes the finality of God's creation of primordial matter and of all the first plants and animals and human beings with which He filled the newly created earth, while scientists point out (whether they realize it or not) that God continues to create new things in the material realm in the sense that He fashions them from the preexistent matter of His initial creation.

And so in conclusion our Lord Almighty God continues to create!

Sorry bub you are incorrect in your stance. Weve already proven using science where stars and islands come from. If you say science is wrong you need to state your proof not me. Here lets illustrate. A simplified explanation of how a star is made:
Hydrogen, gravity and time is all it takes to makes stars. When enough Hydrogen masses together via gravity it heats up. Hydrogen fuses together to make one Helium, since the new Helium weighs less the result is a release energy. A photon. Boom a star is born. The outward force of the release of energy is kept in check by gravity. This happens until the star runs out of fuel.
Islands are made by.....Im not going to explain it every 5th grader knows the science. If you say otherwise you need to prove it not me. Unless you have proof you are officially trolling.Weve already discussed this and are now in a complete circle.

And by that you mean I haven't compelled your mind. Obviously I can't do that since the evidence for such a failure is based on scientific research and you don't accept the validity of that.

Nope, according to you definition you use, you have not compelled my mind. So, why are you lying to me?

Look, I did not write the definition of 'proof', but I do accept the validity of that definition. So, the problem with you not being able to convince me of your argument amounts to nothing more than you not showing me any evidence or argument that is convincing. So don't try to push the fault of your shortcoming off as a problem of mine. You might want to try to find a way to convince me.

Show 'PROOF' of claim that I am telling you a lie.

Because you don't accept the validity of secular evidence that is able to glean knowledge. How is claiming to not accept this type of evidence a shortcoming of others?

You did not compel my mind. You said you did. Either you take what I say about my mind being convinced or not at face value, or you don't. If you don't, then I don't see why anybody should give you another minute of their day due to you being two faced.

If you go by what the bible says. Oh it doesn't say. So, the bible being the inerrant word of God it is left to speculate. But if he was creating more, why doesn't it say?
Does creating = working? Creating can be working, but their is more to working than just creating.
Did he stop creating? It seems so. As Mitt was kind enough to post the verse that said God's creation was completed.

That is an exaggeration of what I have stated. On several occasions, I have accepted secular information. Try being honest about what you claim.

Whether someone pays attention to what I say is irrelevant. You claimed that I told a lie. Now show "PROOF" of claim that I told a lie.

When? I have never once seen you accept the validity of it and you are constantly criticizing it.

Sure. You said you had proven me wrong. I haven't been compelled by you, so either you misspoke or you're lying.

No it is not clear and certainly not obvious. If the bible is the inerrant literal word of God, then it is what it says. Unless as I stated before, you want to change God's word.
So in your passage above, 'and earth and everything in them was competed', doesn't really mean what it says. Got it.

See above. You believe the world wide flood happened just like the bible says, why, because the bible says so.

But this discussion is a result of you agreeing the universe is not just changing but is expanding. New creations.
One can justify in their minds whatever one wants to. And in order to make the inerrant word of God fit, one is compelled to.
    TY for that confirmation.

    Ask God.
    "create
    verb
    1. cause, lead to, occasion, bring about Criticism will only create feelings of failure.
    2. make, form, produce, develop, design, generate, invent, coin, compose, devise, initiate, hatch, originate, formulate, give birth to, spawn, dream up (informal), concoct, beget, give life to, bring into being or existence He's creating a whole new language of painting
    3. appoint, make, found, establish, set up, invest, install, constitute"

Obvious answer: No. based on synonyms.

    and

    "working
    adjective
    1. employed, labouring, in work, in a job Like most working women, I use a lot of convenience foods.
    2. functioning, going, running, operating, active, operative, operational, functional, usable, serviceable, in working order the oldest working steam engine in the world
    3. effective, useful, practical, sufficient, adequate I used to have a good working knowledge of French.
    plural noun
    1. operation, running, action, method, functioning, manner, mode of operation computer systems which mimic the workings of the human brain
    2. mine, pit, shaft, quarry, excavations, diggings housing which was built over old mine workings"

Did he stop creating? IMO.. Yes! Did he stop working? No. To create is what an artist or architect would do in his/her mind prior to putting it on the canvas or on the workbench. On the canvas or workbench would be the manifestation or the bringing into reality. Therefore, the 'creation' ended on verse 2 of Genesis 1, then began the manifestation. Hence scientists proclaim that new planets are being formed; new species are being found; children are still being given the breath of life.... God is still working (causing a manifestation of that which was 'created').

So God is still in control? New life, new planets, new stars, new disasters. The end game is still known and being changed to fit that end game.

PS- Mitt tells me God still continues to create.
One of you is reading the bible wrong.

Probably because you don't read all of my postings on this religious section of the forum. Too bad for you.

No-one said you had been compelled. The word used was 'proven':
    "prov·en (prvn)
    v.
A past tense and a past participle of prove.
    adj.
Having been demonstrated or verified without doubt: "

In my mind, it was proven, and I am convinced that it was proven. Therefore, I have not told a lie.

Or perhaps it is just you attempting to keep an argument going which will never be solved until the end of days. Yes God is still in control.. and you still have free will.... Ain't it strange?

If you're saying that everything that, in your mind, is proven and it is not relevant whether others agree with your assessment, then everything that you have demanded be proven by others has already been proven according to your own standards. I mean, obviously it is proven in the minds of others, that makes it proven, right? Thus, your entire charade of demanding proof has been for naught. And I hope you don't try to use that defense that "proven" and "proof" are somehow separable. Proven is the past participle of prove, and to prove something you require proof.

No! According to your warped perception, that would be how things are... but your perception is not the only perception involved in this case. In this case, because it is my perception that you are talking about, then it is my perception that makes the difference and which holds the key.

Dude, so why in the hell would anybody bother talking to you? You're just a solipsist who wants to believe what he wants to believe, argues with other people simply for the satisfaction of being irrational and therefore unable to "lose" an argument (though obivously you winning an argument is simply a fabrication of your perception while the rest of us in the real world are laughing at you), and uses tactics only when it benefits his own argument while deriding others for using the exact same tactics.
