    If "people want god" why do they have to go to the movies?

    Isn't your god allegedly everywhere? Can't they find him in church?

    And since the "traditional picture" is wrong, and they got it from the "bible", could that somehow imply that... gasp... the bible might not be... quite 100% facts from cover to cover?

    I meant gods were invented ONLY because people needed something to explain nature....god is an invention and nothing more.
    That may be obvious to you (and me) but not so much to goddies...

    No sonny I said that was the story in your book of fables but now you have cleared this up for me. I agree with you when you say that the bible does not tell us we will go to hell if we don't worship god.

    I agree with you there is nothing to be saved from!

    Well why would there be if god isn't going to send us there as you say!


    Why would we need freewill if god isn't going to send us to hell when we don't worship him?


    I think you have educated me enough sonny by setting me straight and letting me know that there is nothing to be saved from as god doesn't send people to hell! Thanks for making it easier to not be a christian!!

    Funny, no one has proven anything in the bible to be untrue but then the bible wasn't written to be a history book. It is easy to try and discredit about anything as long as you hold it to an almost impossible standard.

    Trying to think how that works..

    Maybe like this: The bible means whatever you like, so, nobody can disprove it?

    How about this... You are a bank manager and you say " I have one million dollars in the safe".

    Bank Pres. says, "That is a remarkable number, are you sure it is exactly one million?"

    Bank manager: "yes, that is True."

    They count it. $876,426,27

    Manager goes to jail.

    Now the BIBLE, on the other hand, can turn in approximate numbers all day long, but
    it has the remarkable property of always being True, impossible to prove it is not accuarte because, well, it is the bible. Defined as always True.

    I can trick God and believe in him or I can trick God and not believe in him? How does this make God omniscient? If God has no clue if I will or will not believe in him?

    Do you always fight the battles of others? and what 'cliché'? Obviously my opponent has become unhinged. I simply pointed out the obvious. Maybe you should talk him down officer.
