In the context of the I/P conflict it's their view, not mine. They all as one rejected the partition on behalf of the Palestinians in 1948. They rejected Israel's right to exist on behalf of the Palestinians. They invaded the newly established state of Israel in 1948 and tried to wipe it of the map on behalf of the Palestinians, they tried again many times after that, they still don't accept Israel's right to exist today on behalf of the Palestinians, many of them are in de-jure case of war with Israel on behalf of the Palestinians.

They are viewing themselves as one people in this case, they are acting as one people against Israel. I am merely stating the obvious.

    It's very plain that I am asking what the Palestinian unity government should do in response to this;

Once more then, should they do nothing ? Fire rockettes at Zionist squats ? Blow up a synagogue and seven Israeli homes in Israel ? Take Israel to the UN war crimes court ?

And I was very clear that Hamas will probebly bomb something and PLO will probebly report to the UN, if you ask what I would do it would be the legal course because they can't win by military one, the more educated members of their Gov should seek a lasting agreement realizing they cant get all they lost - not without an all out war which they can't win.

So you, as an Israeli, advise that the Palestinians take your government to the international courts over such incidents . That is my understanding of what you just wrote. Anybody else ?

I would suggest they will be smarter than that but since my Gov more or less lied to them in the recent peace talks (they said the building will continue but 2 new settelments is way to much), yes that would be a decent step for now.

As an Israeli, when will you figure out that the Palestinians are the liers in your conflict ?
You probably don't live in the bombed areas around Gaza.

I voted for Bibi because he promised to advance the 2 state idea, "to seperate us from the Palestinans" like he said, he lied to me when he pushed all that building in the WB that does the opposite, if he aims for one state he should have said so - but he lied.

I wont vote for him again, Green Leaf or Yair Lapid for me.

No, you are merely re-stating the same tired, worn-out and utterly predictable anti-Arab propaganda and no blame, ever, for anything can be laid at Israel's feet. We've heard it all before Borat, try another tack.

No, because the source of the problem is the key. Exacerbation of the problem by outside influences is closely related to the problem of Palestinian factionalism, but the way you seem to see it the outside influences created the problem rather than seizing on it and using it.

The interesting thing from my perspective is that regardless of the source of the problem, the solution will probably be more and more Palestinians rejecting one faction in favor of the other. Since peace seems so elusive, that will almost certainly be the choice of Hamas over Al Fatah. No doubt more bending and breaking of PA election rules is to come.

Exactly snake... Whether Israel overreacts, under-reacts or reacts just right is in the eye of the beholder, none of us is fortunately in Israel's shoes to know precisely how we would lash out if our countries and families and children were threatened with extermination...coming on the heels of a very recent extermination to boot.

But tiny Israel is indeed surrounded by a sea of enemies committed to Israel's eventual elimination at any cost... This is the big picture that is so inconvenient to your side that you attack me every time I bring it up. It's indeed tired worn out TRUTH.

Threads accusing the only true democracy in the region of being an apartheid state are hyperbole and false propaganda..., threads accusing Kiev Maidan of being a neo nazi nest are hyperbole and false propaganda... why don't you go tell them that if you're so concerned with hyperboles and false propaganda? Oh in that case one side has 22 countries, the other has the political support of the western world and its military weapons. One side has 420 million, the other has 13 million people plus again the support of the western world.

One side does not vow to wipe the other off the map, the other is determined to establish itself on the land of people in tiny West Bank and enclose the tiny Gaza strip while making everyone forget all the villages it took over to gain its present size.

They've been protesting non-violently for decades.

And suing in international court requires the defendant to recognise all international law.

Right...if it just was the case, the conflict would have been over a long time ago... too bad when push comes to shove Israel stands alone and is routinely criticized by the West for the audacity of defeating herself.. Arabs attack, boycott, wage PR campaign against Israel, the West does no such thing against its foes, the arabs don't recognize Israel's right to exist, the West has perfectly good relations diplomatic economic and even military with the Arab world...

Israel has better weapons indeed...because it buys better weapons. Israel has better army because every Israeli citizen including women gives 3 best years of their youth to the military service... That's the only thing that maintains some sort of parity and deterrence against yet another arab aggression, sorry but your comparison is a major Fail.

Uh yes, but alot more peaceful protests, almost a daily event actually. There is no possible comparison in nominal terms between the amount of peaceful protests and violent attacks.

Moreover, the violent presence of the army and settlers is a daily event in the West bank, the land is built on every day.

Except that is factually wrong. The only time Israel was ever alone was after its invasion in 56. Every other time it has enjoyed support.

The West has done all thise things and far far worse against its foes. The arabs have recognised Israel for some time.

No Israel has better weapons because it had supply agreements for Czech, French and US weapons, long before it could pay them.

Your complete lack of factual knowledge of Israeli arms supply is interesting but shows why my comparison and analysis is accurate and backed by the authoritive sources.

You have it all backward, the only time Israel wasn't alone was in 1956 when it was convinced by the UK and France to join them in attacking Egypt. In all other wars Israel was left alone by the West and the rest of the planet to live or die, not a single western soldier participated in Israel's defensive wars, started by the Arab world on behalf of the Palestinians to wipe Israel off the map.

    Duh, another massive Fail.

Act like a government should and negotiate in good faith, not with the destruction of those you negotiate with hanging over the table. In order to do this you first remove the destruction of your partner from all official means and then dill it into the heads of the population that peace is the only way. Then negotiate for peace in good faith.

As for the individuals, they ought to first, not try to pretend this was a surprise as they knew this was coming down the pipe since 2008 when they put the structures up. Second, they need to document all permit applications and coralate them with others from the area and all other areas in order to allow for the Palestinian authorities to present an overview during negotiations and, become more proactive in politics and not let their representatives get away with a quick visit as they did in this case when Abu Baker showed up for a few minutes and left saying "These villagers will not fight the occupation alone." and then disappear like she had to pick up her kids at hockey or ballet.

In any case, violence will simply legitimize the actions of the Israelis as security is paramount and will justify the need to refuse even more permits. A catch 22 it might seem but heavens forbid, maybe, just maybe peace is the way, take the destruction of Israel off the Charters and dismantle the Al Qassam Brigades and so on and forth. Or, at the very least, put in for permits so that when the western press puts in stories like this you don't have big blank spots where they get near the end of the sad story and know they have to say something so just add "Rights groups say it does not issue sufficient permits, forcing residents to build without authorisation." rather than document the process these people made in their journey to where they were today.

Palestine's first move should be to unify its' military and "be responsible" for military activity on their turf,
    such as terrorist rocket launches.

Thus far the Palestinians have not demonstrated they can really master dominion over their lands.

In ' good faith ' with whom ? Those who occupy your country and have just demolished a mosque and seven of your countrymen's dwellings in their own country ? Is that what you're saying ?

Is the illegal occupier ' acting like a government should ' ? You are suggesting that the injured party ' acts like a government should ' with an illegal occupier which has no intention whatsoever of ' acting like a government should '. Is that your solution ? The Occupied ' act like a government should ' whilst the Occupier does not ? " Good faith " Is that what you said ? " Good faith " ?
