Not paranaoia. Soviet aggression aganst civilians 1945, 1948 and 1953 and the wall are not forgotten in Berlin. The soviets / bolcheviki are evil and Putin wants to be Stalin. It is obvious.

America die defend us from comunism and Stalin for so many years...also that wont be forgotten. Defend us from the evil.

Bolcheviks shall never get our country angain. Me shall fight them until death if needed. And our american friends will be on our side if needed.

    God save the USA.

They brought freedom and democracy. But also simply bread and coal in 1948, when the bolcheviks wanted to make all Berliners die from hunger.

Learn history. Be aware. All bad ways did lead to Stalin. Never again

"God save USA, USA save Germany". This is old Bible story for good girls. Look around TODAY. How many Russian military bases you can find in the World? Compare with quantity and location of US military bases in the World. Then ask for a one question. Who threatens the world today? Who today is spying on the world, including Germany?

You do not understad the issue I think. US Bases are wellcomed here. Russian basesare hated here.

Do you know what happened in 1994 when the russian troops did leave Berlin and wanted to celebrate that with the americans , french and british together?

The germans freaked out and did not want them to join that party because of to many negative feelings...

Yeah...of corse...we did love the russian forces. NOT!

They are not wanted, needed, wellcomed. The russian army is hated in Germany. Not just not liked. It is hated by deep never ending hate! That hate will never die.

Completely different that must be said inhere is the feelings about russian civilians, the intellectuals from Russia, the artists.

I think we like them and have warm feelings towards them.

But everything what does wear ´that russian communist soviet uniforms: to hell with them! The german stalinists from Die Linke, same. To hell with them!

But americans? They protected us. God bless them! Without them, we would all speak only russian today.

Poland wanted into Nato for example. But who wants to be with Putin? Who? Only terrorists I can see. He is a lonely angry Stalinist.

God save our americans friends. I will never forget what they did . God save the USA. The USA stands for freedom and democracy. Russia of Putin for terror and aggression in Ukraine.

Well, the Germans in the DDR managed to preserve the original German language, no Russian influence at all. And they were not forbidden to say "I am proud to be a German".

What to many Germans in West-Germany, they speak a mixture of bad English and German, called "Denglish".
And (due to the imposed by some Americans "re-education") many Germans in West Germany are ashamed of being Germans.

Yes, let's look what some Americans, like Morgenthau, did to the West Zone of Germany, and what he tried to do:

They say in plain English that there were plans to deliberately starve German civilians to death, and they partly achieved their goal of converting Germany into a pastoral state.

Only due to the Communist threat (speak due to the fact that Stalin did not have any plans to starve Germans in the East Zone) and due to the fact that Europe could not survive without German industry, they abandoned their genocidal Morgenthau Plan.

Here are some excerpts from the JCS 1067:

They say in plain English that they have not liberated the German civilians from the NS- Regime, they say that ALL Germans are their enemies, and that the friendship with German population is forbidden.

If some Germans are happy with this, then this is the result of the so-called "re-education" that made many Germans in Western Zone into pathetic spineless creatures.

    :D

    1. I am proud to be a german
    2. I do speak several languages. Also english. But in Germany, I do use german of corse. Denglish is stupit I think.
    3. Yes, I am liberal-green-left wing. And guess what: excellent job, well educated. I pay tax my friend. A lot. I do work in 3 european countries and I do profit a lot from the EU.
    4. I do not have any complex about beeing german.
    5. right wing germans do not have a monopol for patriotism. That is what they might like to make others think. I disagree strongly. My patriotism is not limited to a flag, but I of corse have one and I want Germany to be the world champion in Brazil - of corse!
    6. Part of my patriotism is that I am proud that in my country we do practice tolerance. That does integrate the respect and understanding for immigrants of all kind. I am a german native speaker by the way and unlike you did mention before NOT an immigrant; my mother is french, but my father is german. There is no possibility I walk around in two peaces. So I am 100% german and 100% french.
    7. French shall replace english as the first used language in the EU / german also would be fine. So you get my position here.
    8. I strictly refuse all NSA spy activity and I do thing Germany shall insist that this is stopped. If not, the embassy of the US shall be removed on the countryside in the middle of nowhere. Snowden MUST be invited here to ask all. If needed, he shall marry a german woman and get german citizinship. Germans are not allowed to be forced to leave Germany for juristical reason to other countries; watch the constitution.

    9. The USA did make it possible that germans did survive after WW2. They did protect us against the bolcheviki, fact. I am strictly anticommunist, because communism is against freedom and a dictotorship. Russia is not communistic , but does replace one dictatorship against the other. I guess communism was simply an instrument to the chauvinism in Russia. Russia is traditionally unbearable chauvinistic.

    10. Whatever Morgenthau planned and whatever you tell about forbidden fraternisation laws:

americans became clostest friends to germans, they did forgive the crimes, they did establish democracy here, they did help us out of trouble, they did risk their life with the airbridge unlike russians, who tried to kill us by the blockade, who seperated Germany, who occupied us and who still insist on these discusting war monuments in Germany.

So after all, I disagree with a lot in the USA what is ok between best friends and I tell you:

God bless the USA and also Vive de Gaulle, vive l'Europe!

Es lebe die EU! Down with antieuropeans and their selfish views. Beeing against the EU is beeing against Germany. I am pro german, so I am pro EU.

You lose! Watch Wilders in the Netherlands. Antieuropeans will lose! Allover! Peace, prosperty, resonsibility, tolerance, solidary with the others, respect to give and to get, a constructive close friendship to the USA:

That is what I am looking for.

Spießbürgertum, closed mindset, chauvinism, beeing coward, beeing selfish, beeing provincial...that is what I dislike.

You are not Germany. You are the past. The past is gone. I am glad.

Dear Fabien, I just wanted to say, here that although our views on the problems may be different, the good thing for me is after your posts I question myself: Am I right on the topics we are discussing?
I appreciate it very much that you differentiate Russian people from Russian politicians. There are of people as I know who equate both normal Russian people and Russian politicians, and hate both.
And I fully support you with your approach to the nature, to use solar and wind as energy sources. This is the future. And gas- is the past.

    Dear friend,

I in fact do not believe that most russians really back Putin. I do think that is manipulated from Putin supporters. But those who are critical with Putin should not be ignored. They might also be russian patriots. To me, they are the better russian patriots. A patriot shall always do want the best for his country. Putin is doing the worse by isolating Russia.

I do not think one should punish or jugde on all russians - I eaven think not on all Putin supporters, because a lot are badly informed and that is caused by Putins propaganda. These influenced russians are innocent.

I do think I also react in two different ways: I tell things very harsh to people I do not trust and openly to people I do trust - in your case I trust you.

I think negative reactions from you are impossible. That does not mean we agree, but I cannot see any negative behaviour of you, nothing.

I would say in your case, I would sometimes react like that:

"I disagree, I do not understand, but I trust him. He might be right, I simply do not understand. So I do it his way, eaven if I disagree, because he wont do something bad."

I though about it. Imagine an apple. One side red, other side yellow. You see the red side, not the yellow one. I ask you: "what is the color?"

Your response: RED. I respond: "NO! it is Yellow".

I think it might be possible that sometimes one cannot say it is this or that. Things can be seen differentely.

I see russian military as I discribe. You might see them diffently. I doubt that you are wrong (in your case) . You simply see thingsdifferently and we shall both turn the apple.

But...that is the case with you. Others I do not trust inhere. And I think I should not. Every case is different.

    Cheers!

Vis, in your way to react I cannot see any difference to others I feel comfortable with. I am deeply convinced that you are 100% democratic in your soul. Anybody who would doubt on that I would strictly disagree.

Lol you are funny. What do you think Putin is doing in Moldova as we speak. You have the audacity to suggest the US spies on Germany while remaining silent on Russia's blatant interference in Moldova and Ukrianian internal affairs including sending in spies and special service soldiers dressed as civilians? Really.

Of course the US spies on Germany and everyone else, friend or foe. Are you suggesting they are the only country in the world that does this?

just to make that clear again, "haben sie verständnis" doesn't translate to "do u sympathize"; the question paraphrased wud be in translation very close to "do u understand why putin does what he does?"

It is said that a lion cares little for the opinion of sheep.

Putin views himself as a lion and Germans as sheep.

    Dear friend,

I do share a lot of your views, but to spy on your best friend is as the british migh say "not cricket".

If the US wants to have a partner in leadership, they shall, with all my respect, stopping that.

And that view does come from somebody as you know who is very clear about Russia and Putin...so no worry.

We shall find an anti-spy agreement among friends. I also do not spy on my wifes banc account. She would not like that either. You got me?

    Have a nice day

It is not needed to have "Verständnis" for such fascist as Putin. It is enough that I do understand that this must and will be stopped.

Of corse not from wimps. Putin does need a strong harsh reaction, not fluffy hippie party invitations with german "Putin Verstehern".

Putins Russia now does need the answer Blücher would have given: Vorwärts! Putin only gets his medicine if it is harsh and clear. No big comprehension - talks. Putin is not an innocent child to listen when it is crying.

Putin is a fascist. So he does ask for treatment a fascist understands.

Fabien you do not think Germany spies on France or Britain? Espionage is not just about spying on enemies. Its about spying on everyone. First off most spying today is done in association with industry and governments seeking industrial advantage for their products over those of any other country.

Industrial espionage through governments is reality. France is a prime example. We have caught it spying on us in Canada as much as Russia. We didn't lose too much sleep. The US has spied on Canada and probably still does. Its reality. It wants to know which persons in our country might be a security threat to it. Heck even Denmark has fights with us over certain off sea shore rights in the Arctic. You don't think they have done "spying".

What is "spyomh"? Its the gathering of information to predict another's moves. In the business world we call it risk analysis. When its between countries its called spying. Sorry but you don't think the EEC's countries spy on the US? Please. Everyone is involved in this. Hell the US and Israel who share intelligence gathering agreements spy on each other. What you don't think China spies on Germany? Check under your bed. Better still my friend, you might want to find out who your wife is.....my sources tell me her real name was Olga Putin.

    Regards,

The Man who lives in the shadow

Ok, I personally do not think that Germany does spy on the USA, but ok. Who knows. So the most normal thing would be: let's do an anti spay agreement.

I mean see that tactically: germans like me are 100% pro west and pro american. What is wrong to make a contract what does increase trust?

We do desperately need our alliance (forget about the german Putin lover and the failed anti - americans, they are in forums, but they are not in reality here. People with no say, just boring losers).

But believe me. Among those who are really on the side of the USA, Canada, Britain...they do not like the idea that NSA does spy on us. It will cause an anti spy system in what we will invest lots of money.

That we should rather invest on arming our troops!

Trust among friends is essential. Both ways. You understand me a little? ALso.

I am a lawyer for a company what does developp system to transport windmills.

If we developp a system, it does cost us lots of money. It is no fun to image that some american institution does spy on that and does sell all to anybody. Can you imagine that? We do have to invest a lot on all that...

Spying against your best friends (both ways) takes away the energy to face the real problems.

BTW my daughter does not look russian at all. She looks more or less sicilian or nothern african. Olga Putin is by that impossible.

    Cheers ;-)

    - - - Updated - - -

I personally would like that a lot. In the industry where I am employed, the goverment would push all like hell to replace russian gas. Hugde investment program.

German answer to such behaviour will be: we raplace gas by windfarms.

It depends. If we stop discussing about birds and landscape as much as some spoiled germans do, I would say within the next 10 - 20 years. If not, it will take 30 - 50 years. If the russians stop the gas delivering, they will stop to talk about every small bird - that would make business for my company as it allready does (where I am employed).

Since the Ukraine issue, business runs better. They try to find solutions more consequent. But it goes step by step. First we can replave the 27% of russian gas. Later the rest. Also we do have to replace coal.

Wind electricity will split H20 (water) to oxigyne and waterstuff. The waterstuff you later can burn like gas. That will be the future. the waterstuff is gained by the electricity won by windfarming.

To me, the idea to have smart solutions without any aggression is pretty tempting. Also water can be cut into sweet water from salt water with wind energy. The whole Baltic Sea is a giant water ressource.

That are issues a lot of german universities are working around the clock. Check "Frauenhofer Institut" in Freiburg. Excellent people! btw some are russians ^^ great help.

    Tax.

when the wind does blow, you splitt waterstuff from oxigene and burn later on the waterstuff.
when the wind does not blow, you use water you pumped up and let it fall down that moment and use the hydrolic gained electricity
when the wind does not blow, you ad solar energy and biomasse
when the wind does not blow in northern Germany, it might blow in Spain. So a connected continental net is needed

...it is a bunch of answers. We do have to decentrelize the system. Like also a concert: only one instrument does not make the music. It is the orchestra!

But that must be all combined. On that, I love to work and find solutions. I think it is worth to do so.

In german you call that the "Energymix" Sounds like a soft drink, I know.

It is in fact very very complicate and we do need to respect also the market. But frankly: you americans are such optimists. Do we germans really have to give you a lesson in optimism and freedom? I guess not. So go ahead! Risk something and invest in that! If Germany is prooving that it can be done, you shall not hesitate. The last thing I do expect of americans, the really last thing is pessimism, defetism and fear!

No fear needed! Action is needed. Action and optimism are american. Be american! Thats the right way.

    Cheers

Same problems we have here (with small birds) :)It's good idea,I really like it.And when wind doesn't blow?Wind always blow ,good enough to windfarm work properly.Dont worry about the wind, just go for it.I'm very interesting about windfarm, thats why I ask, tanks for replay. Now lets get back to topic :)

The discussion about birds and landscape is mainly used from politicians to protect the big fossil energy producers:

EnBW, Vattenfall, EON , RWE...they are all scared to death from beeing attackled by small companies who replace their old fashionned model to burn coal or gas...

And the politics sleeps in bed with them (also in Germany we do have all sort of corruption. I hate it if germans denie that as that was a sort of only southern european or russian problem...very arrogant to denie that germans are often any better. I fight them, that is my job ^^)

Some birds are in danger, but all must be looked objectivily and not with a bahaviour what makes a bird as a holy creature. Than we shall also close all motorways in Germany...but wait...

...german car industry is powerful, politicians will never do that. Than, birds are of second importance...double standart. But Putin helps us! Unwanted, but he does. No russian gas, more windmills more income for me.

    Ty Putin

Zero issues with what you said.

I am afraid in the real world in certain sectors there is cut throat spying.

Doesn't make it right I am just saying its the ugly reality of the world we live in and the US aint the only spies.

That said ok I will stop spying on you. Like your boxer shorts though with the German flag. You should see Putin's. He wears pink lace. Obama goes commando.
