I’m so sick and tired of people ragging on people demanding a living wage. Most of Walmarts employees qualify for food stamps. I worked for a city where the wages were so low that a third of their employees could qualify for food stamps. We can either pay these people a living wage or continue to subsidize these low paying organizations employees with our TAX DOLLARS through Government programs like FOOD STAMPS. I’ve heard all the arguments , get a better education and get a better job. FINE, we finally reach a point where everyone has a Phd ,then whose going to cook your fries, dig the ditches for your Utilities, and build your roads etc, etc, etc. A society has to have people of all educational levels and experience to function properly and they deserve a FRIGGIN LIVING WAGE TO DO THESE ESSENTIAL JOBS !

 

so you would recommend abortion in these situations if they get pregnant and can not afford another child?

I am sick of people whining about how great the poor have it, get over it.... if you think it's so great, sell everything you own and be poor, it's easy, no reason to be jealous of them.. heck even the bible says the poor will have a easier time getting in to heaven then the rich, that must really Tea off the right.....

Utter nonsense . . . no one flingin' burgers into a bag deserves any more than $9.00 per hour. They NEVER get the order right anyway.

I would have looked like an ignoramus putting in an air conditioning condensor in place of a customers water heater. It is called being inept which is displaying a lack of judgment, sense, or reason. Bungling or clumsy, foolish or incompetent.

THAT is why the workers there deserve nothing more. Once McD's starts some kind of training program whereas workers start showing me that I do not have to check a 4-item order at the drive through window, then I may change my mind.

Some of you entitlement crowd that posted here seem to think these Inspector Clouseau types deserve their wages to be doubled!

 

Increasing minimum wage, is another one of those ideas that look good on paper but fail in practice the result of this will be that fifteen dollars an hour will, in a very brief period of time buy you what nine dollars an hour used to. and you'll have to be making between 30 and 45 dollars an hour to get by.

. . . our politicians Left or Right promising us the moon in order to get elected and then after taking office turning out to be just as corrupt and incompetent or venal as was his or her predecessor . . . . oh and over the counter allergy and pain 'medications' being sold in such weak doses and number that when you have to double up the doses in order for them to be effective at all you are out of the over-priced and under-performing stuff much sooner than you should have been.

Somehow it seems to me that the first complaint is related to the second one on a metaphysical level perhaps. So give me a higher dosage of integrity per politician and also double the volume of quality traits in general!

I'm sick and tired of poor people being duped into protecting rich people, while rich people mock, ridicule and exploit them.

I'm sick and tired of selfish, immature and unbalanced people who try to destroy society because they don't fit in.

I'm sick and tired of people and groups co-opting the Constitution.

I'm sick and tired of lying politicians, and money in politics.

I've read and re-read your complaint a few times now, and frankly it just doesn't make any sense to me.
"Whiney little crybabies" (identifies the group you're upset with), "who think they can raise a family of four on fast food wages" (Yeah, so?, why should that upset you?) I interpret them as being rather positive. For whatever reason, they're stuck at the bottom of the income ladder, but they think that they can survive OK. ( this boils your oil?) Then you insert the Wah-Wah bit. Followed by 'I should get more money'. Well hell, we all want more money, but there's nothing in your first sentence that indicates that they feel anything but accepting of their 'situation'. Does that part boil your oil? Then, Boo Hoo poor me. Well, I just don't get what's boiling that oil of yours.

Entry-level jobs are not meant to support a family of four. The value of labor is determined by the market and as a function of the COGS of the finished good or service to which the laborer contributes. You want to make more money? Make yourself more valuable. Otherwise shut up and make sure I don't get onions on my cheeseburger when I say "no onions, please." Or in California, "no cebolla, por favor."

if both parents work 40 hours at 8$ hour, that's 32000. If even one gets a second job making 8/hour, that's up to 16000 more and 48,000 total a year more and kids could still be taken care of by the 1st parent.
