The economy is painfully and slowly recovering not because of Obama, but in spite of him.

    He's been a total disaster.

I guess all that Ring Wing propaganda explains ALL the Obama scandals. Now one about
every quarter. The latest being how this White House Lied to pretect a white house connected
Secret Service employee who instead of getting fired like the other dozen or so
    was rewarded with a promotion.

Bush did vastly spend too much. But his deficits were still nowhere in the ball
park of Obama's. Bush 2007 Budget deficit was $ 161 Billion.
Obama ran around $ 1.25 Trillion on average every year in his first term.

Plus the Obama commies in this Government also changed what items
would be included in the CPI { Consumer Price Index }.Instead of
emphasizing stuff like Eggs and Milk and Bread they instead focused
on consumption of stuff like Electronics as in TV's and computers.
Which are constantly going Down in price.
Instead of using Gas,Utilities, healthcare and Education in calculating
    true Inflation.

And the commies in this Obama government are constantly looking for
ways to con You the consumer. They are now packaging in smaller packages
in order to give the appearance you are getting the same size jar of peanut butter.
They have done away with flat bottoms on peanut jars. They are now rounded,
which means they contain less than in previous years,as a kiddie example.

When you really examine the scandals
You will find that they are nothing but right wing propaganda
And at that time the statement was
there was no credible evidence warranting action against The person
I hope you understand the word credible
Most of what the right wing calls scandals is nothing but petty gripes

We need to add to that the destruction of the bargaining power of employees due to the destruction of the Unions. The employee today has zero bargaining power, while employers have adopted the philosophy propounded by Milton Friedman that the only stakeholder that had any right to gain wealth was the shareholder. The easiest way to increased shareholder wealth is to ignore all other stakeholders such as employees and the general society. When adjusted for inflation middle class incomes have been falling for the last 30 years, that cuts into their purchasing power and when 75% of the economy is based on consumers consuming product and services, that means they cannot keep the economic engine running. This trend has been going on since Reagan fired the Airline Controllers. It was accelerated greatly by the Great Recession and the economic incompetence of the Bush !! administration. There is no doubt in my mind that if either McCain or Romney had become president the situation would be much worse since they both are ideologically driven by right wing nostrums that have not been shown to work in the real world. And where applied they have been disastrous for the middle class and the poor. Only the elites do well under those conditions.

Yes and I for one, resent the ridiculous amount of sabotage and obstruction he has faced by a corrrupt, reptilian and self-serving GOP lead Congress. The Teapublicans have held the country back from moving forward on so many levels...just check out the assessment of our crumbling infrastructure...

Republicans parrot the lies about jobs created by building a pipeline, but ignore the truth about the actual jobs that would be created by repaIring infrastructure that would benefit everyone as opposed to the big oil cartel.

First off, this should be the opinion section not the current events.
Second, using the label "hater" for anyone who disagrees with Obama's smoke and mirrors recovery is cheap and tiresome. And, since the left invented the term "hate speech", I assume you know that and used it anyway.
Third, it's amusing to hear you and other leftwinger's defending a "recovery" that's so top heavy. The wealthy have made great gains while the remaining masses have either remained even, fallen further behind or worse. So, I guess you love the rich when you can point to them to support your "recovery" claims, but outside that you detest them?
Forth, I will grant there are ways statistically to claim a recovery, but anyone outside a few progressive airheads realizes the instability of our economy because it's a recovery built on federal manipulation of money supply and not free market resurgence. Because if the free market was "recovering" we wouldn't need QE's, an endless supply of printed money or near zero interest rates, now would we?

Unless one has a taste for Marxist Socialism.Which is roundly still taught at
Columbia U. where Obama spent either one or two years.
Forgetting not that it was Karl Marx who coined the term Capilalism

Lol----he's so great that 53% of Americans have voted him a failure. Sorry, but you are definitely in the minority. You should rethink your opinion. If a majority of Americans can't personally feel that things are getting better economically in their lives, then they aren't.

This whole topic is a load of cr@p.

The liberals were blaming Bush for starting the stimulus now all of a sudden they're giving the credit to Obama.

    What a hypocritical joke.

These are not the words of a uniter.
    October 2010..
“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”

    November 2012....
"No, no, no, Don't boo. Vote. Voting is the best revenge,"

    April 2008...
"They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

    October 2010....
“They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”

    And more:
    ** Obama: “They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun”
** Obama to His Followers: “Get in Their Faces!”
** Obama on ACORN Mobs: “I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!”
** Obama to His Mercenary Army: “Hit Back Twice As Hard”
** Obama on the private sector: “We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.“
** Obama to voters: Republican victory would mean “hand to hand combat”
** Obama to lib supporters: “It’s time to Fight for it.”
** Obama: “My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”
** Obama: “I will be happy to see the Republicans test whether or not I’m itching for a fight on a whole range of issues. I suspect they will find I am.”
** Obama: “Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.”

What is there to communicate? Perhaps that all Obama did was continue the Bush policies to deal with the economic crisis? That's all he did. Bush continued the Clinton policies that caused the financial collapse and so on and on. The economy would be better if Obama could come up with anything to improve it. Instead he heads to the golf course while his lapdog liberal media continue to spin the facts.

Back as early as 2005 Nancy Pelosi and the drat democrats were bad mouthing
the Bush Economy. It wasn't enough that Bush fixed the Clinton inherited
recession of 2000 in near record time { under 2 years } where we had 5% Unemployment
and substantial GDP growth.Don't forget that Obama's first quarter {2014} was a near record
level drop in GDP for the 1st quarter { biggest drop in GDP since records were being
    kept }. It was a - GDP. A full - 1%.
So Nancy Pelosi { arguably the worst polled congress person in the history of
favorability } ran around in 2005 bragging how much the Bush economy sucked. That
it was rife with Bush cronyism and incompetence. She did it so her democrats could
take over the House and make her speaker. This from a San Fransico shrew
who also talked about " draining the swamp ".
We'll see in 3 weeks how well the American people can drain this Obama swamp.

The Stock market is rigged just like the way Quantitative Easing was worked.
Like the way Obama's $ 862 Billion Stimulus package was appled.Very little went to
" shovel ready jobs ". Even Obama made a crass joke of those " shovel ready jobs ".
The EU is right this minute bracing for DEFALTION.It isn't a question of IF but
when. When that hits it will almost immediately effect the markets stateside.
Deflation may make money worth more as after the Civil War but it also means that
there will be a contraction of the money supply.Helped along by Billionaires and
their hoarding of cash { avg. Billionaire hoarding 600 Million in hard cash }.
So the amount and velocity of money is shortened meaning banks won't have as
much.Depositors may have a hard time withdrawing their money from banks. This could
lead to a run on certain banks. Why would Deflation be bad. because it means that
whatever one buys will be worth less.Like what happened after the crash in '29
and during the Dust Bowl 1930's.A severe economic Depression where there was
a downturn in the Economy and high unemployment. When prices keep falling because the
dollar is worth more, it has a discouraging effect.People wait because what they buy will
be worth less and less or cheaper in the future.Lower consumer spending means lower
    economic growth.
That is what is happening on Wall Street. In the opposite.Stocks are selling because
their worth or share price goes up because it takes more dollars to buy the
same number of shares it did a year or 2 years ago.

Total numbers always go up. Well, they always did except for the past few years.

It makes no sense. Because that isn't how the economy was wrecked.

Clinton's spending went up much slower than Reagan or Bush.

    - - - Updated - - -

Bush inherited a $200 billion surplus. Obama inherited a $1.2 trillion deficit. And the worst economy in 80 years.

    - - - Updated - - -

Another RW propaganda generated fallacy I've seen posted here over and over.

Food and energy (gas) prices are absolutely included inthe CP-I.

    - - - Updated - - -

I agree the wealthiest have benefitted most.

Write your Republican Tea Party reps and tell them to raise taxes on the rich and quite cutting spending that helps the middle class.

And he simply employed all of Bush's TARP policies giving Wall Street the keys to the Treasury.

I'd hate to be the next president and inherit over $17 trillion dollars of debt from Barry Sotero Obama.

Cons hate it when things actually get done because they are lazy and they want everyone else to be the same. That is their dream America. A place where they can sit on there ass and (*)(*)(*)(*) and moan about the fruits of others hard work.
