Completely and entirely irrelevant. If there is a bill introduced that will ban the future production every semi-automatic firearm with a detachable magazine for civilians, do you really think that people will "wait for it to happen" to begin purchasing said firearms? That is seriously one of the stupidiest arguments I have heard to date. All you need to do is give the Democrats a microphone and a mass shooting, and they will sell the guns for the NRA.
Consider my situation, I use a M&P9 for USPA and 3 Gun. The standard magazine is 17rds. The magazine limit for Colorado is 15rds. The only other magazine capacity available is 10rds. These silly laws impact competitive shooters like you and I.
and the very same gun owners will buy yet more weapons. how does that make you gun people smart for being so easily manipulated for cash
They are not being manipulated. Democrats claim they will ban every semi-automatic firearm with a detachable magazine. People go out and purchase said firearms. I know several people who did not have said firearms purchase them for that reason alone. You are using poor grammar, difficult to read and understand posts, to make a moot point that has no bearing on reality.
Actually it is a perfect analogy. If they are not waiting then why is it every time there is talk of a possible ban people rush out to buy more guns, mags and ammo? Your logic failed. True, because people where not proactive to begin with.
follow the money what are you gaining? more weapons what is the industry gaining ? your money how does that change anything in this country?
Exactly. Why should I run out and purchase M855 today if BATFE dropped the reclassification nonsense? That money is better spent on 9mm ammo. But if they issue came up again, then the purchase of M855 would take priority over that of 9mm. So it isn't the NRA. My logic is sound as it is based on reality.
Use the space a bit less, and maybe capitalize the first word on your sentences. Follow the money.... so are you suggesting the NRA is actually working with the gun prohibitionists to sell more guns to make the gun industry more money? LOL Keep going, let's figure out how the Democrats claiming they are going to ban every semi-automatic firearm with a detachable magazine is actually a ploy by the NRA to sell more firearms.
Just curious why would you want M855, I see no point? True buy the 9mm you need and maybe some for barter purposes, same goes for 5.56mm, .22LR and a good range of 12g shells. They are still part of the selling machine.
Where to start??? First you claim that dems aren't trying to ban anything, it's all the NRA scare tactics. Then you go on to admit there was a ban by dems and once it was rescinded you felt the need to stock up for a lifetime. Did you feel you needed that stock during the ban or just after it was lifted? And now that you personally have stocked yourself up for a lifetime you once again claim no ban is going to happen and if it does its of no concern because you already bought everything you want. Unfortunately your not the only citizen that might want to enjoy the freedom of that right. Lastly you claim that all these threats of bans are false, people should not run out and buy guns (even though you did exactly that) yet your last remark is people shouldn't wait until the last minute because then it will be too late. I am seeing no consistent logic in any of your remarks or actions. When the state of ct decided to ban almost all semi automatic rifles guess what I did. I went out and bought one. Do I need it? Irrelevant. The 2 nd Amendment has no clause requiring need. I may not need it or even want it today. Tomorrow?
M193 I do believe is more effective than M855, but if I can buy M855 for $400 per 1,000rds., then turn around and sell it for $1,000 per 1,000rds., then why not? The M193 is accepted at more ranges (only matter if I am doing 3 Gun, they don't like M855 projectiles on their targets) and for self-defense purposes, tumbles much more quickly. Saying "they are still part of the selling machine" is simply moving the goal posts. The NRA can't sell guns/ammo if there is no one publicly stating they are ban firearms, now can they? I used to be a member of the NRA, but then I became tired of the bull(*)(*)(*)(*) letters they would send that start out with "I'm scared" or what ever other bull(*)(*)(*)(*) they decide to use. I start buying when gun prohibitionists decide that banning every magazine fed semi-automatic firearm in the United States is the answer to address a prevalent mental health problem. I start buying when gun prohibitionists decide to arbitrarily ban ammunition that fails to meet both definitions of "armor piercing" (only to have my views further cured in concrete when the Democrats introduce a bill that would ban all rifle ammunition in the United States because it all pierces soft body armor). The NRA has nothing to do with it. In fact, I don't think any of my friends are members of the NRA either. And they still buy when the gun prohibitionists open their mouths.
Actually I was about to buy one when the ban was put in place and bought several when it was lifted. Was against it then and still am. I already stated that people should get what they think they need or want. Correct, do not wait, prepare for the future, you have an issue with that? I thin k you just trying to argue for arguments sake. I am not surprised you missed the simple point I was making. Good for you, get off the "need" word, call it want it you find that more acceptable. If you feel you need or want something go get it, no one is stopping you.
Yep, I shoot a CZ Shadow for stock steel (SP01 Mec-Gar mags that hold 19) a CZ CTS Custom for Limited or custom steel ((uses the 23 round 140mm race gun magazines) and a CZ Chechmate for Unlimited or Open (same though I also have the 27 round big stick 170mm mags for it) magazine limits have no valid purpose whatsoever, they are designed to whittle away at our rights. criminals cannot own any gun so they aren't going to obey anyway
your comment to him suggested otherwise. but I saw his response after I typed mine. If you had used 55 grain designation instead of the catch all 5.56mm I would not have commented
I asked because of that specification, and if you had noticed his answer is that he does not prefer it. As for myself I prefer at least a 62 grain 5.56mm round, costs slightly more but has better penetration numbers and better hunting capabilities. Good grief, don't be so picky, unless you are just looking for an argument, we are probably on the same page when it comes to gun and ammo ownership, leave the laws as they are and enforce those we have.
Magazine limits are ineffective. I see guys run Open Division with 1911's (.45ACP, 8rd. mags most of the time) and they still finish faster than me running a Limited Division M&P9 with 17rd and 23rd magazines. That increased capacity doesn't make a huge difference. But then again, we are expecting people who know nothing about firearms to understand basic and simple concepts about firearms.
I have thought about trying the Production classification, it would be like running my M&P45 again. lol But with less recoil and cheaper ammo.
Then you are alright with allowing others to make your decisions for you, even when they are unaware of how your real life circumstances may contradict what they believe is in your best interest?
Because it is one of the more affordable .223/5.56 rounds on the market that utilizes a brass cartridge casing, rather than a polymer coated steel cartridge casing.
yeah but in production you don't get the benefit of Major like you do in open or limited or even SS. but sure-why not, its fun
Ok, now you have lost me. If you knew anything about me you would laugh and any such thoughts. Stop looking for a fight already.
