Judaism is based on the same book. And, they don't agree with Christians, either. Does that make Jews some big problem?

Christianity is fragmented, too. There is the pope thing, the radical christian fundamentalists, etc.

You are desperately looking for a problem. And, you aren't the only one, of course. There are lots of people of every religion looking for ways to hate others.

We really need to get beyond that.

    Right.
Wrong. The evidence is in every book of the Old Testament. They definitely believe in
    the same God.

No. Do you want there to be a big problem? How are you coming up with that notion?
Christianity isn't fragmented. The pope thing and radical fundamentalists are religious tenants
that have nothing to do with Christianity.
I'm not looking for a problem but I believe you are.
Thankfully hate isn't a teaching of Jesus (Christianity). I don't understand why people want
to hate. It doesn't make sense.

Margot, we're in 100% agreement. What you're not accepting is that Allah is the proper name Mohammad gave his
allah. He could have called his allah Mo Jr. or Pete. We're talking about that "religion of peace" and their god
whose name is allah and not Arab Christians, Jews or Druids who use the word allah.

Proper name is the issue here and not the word allah.

And what makes them believe in the same God?

A god that has the power to end suffering and CHOOSES to allow it to happen is evil, and is not worthy of worship or respect. This is why I am deist. I can not bring myself to believe that god is evil, so I accept that he simply can not, or chooses not to interfere in the universe.

Nonsense. God is all-wise, and He has his own perfect reasons to allow suffering. The human, a being with imperfect wisdom, fails to get over his mere emotions and attempt to understand why God
    allows suffering.

There is nothing wise about allowing innocents to suffer. He does so because either he is not all powerful and can not stop it, or he is evil and wants it to happen.

"GOD is HE besides Whom there is none worthy of worship, the Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining. HE has sent down to thee the Book containing the truth and fulfilling that which precedes it; and HE has sent down the Torah and the Gospel before this, as a guidance to the people; and HE has sent down the Discrimination."—Qur'an, Surah 3:3-4

Must be talking about a different Torah and Gospel.

Nowhere is allah used in the Bible. allah and God aren't the same.[/QUOTE] You'll also never see the word God in the original Greek text, you will instead see Theos. Allah is derived from the name of the chief God of the Canaanite pagans that happened to also be the patron god of the Israelites (thus "no Gods before me"), this eventually became the Elohim in Biblical Hebrew and Ellah in Aramaic. The word you're using is derived from the proto-Germanic word *ǥuđan meaning "to call upon".
Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 34, Number 425 as narrated by Abu Huraira: "Allah's Apostle (Mohammad) said, 'By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, son of Mary (Jesus) will shortly descend amongst you people (Muslims) as a just ruler and will break the Cross and kill the pig and abolish the Jizya (a tax taken from the non-Muslims, who are in the protection, of the Muslim government). Then there will be abundance of money and no-body will accept charitable gifts.'"

To paraphrase Mohammed put his soul in the hands of Jesus whom will shortly descend amongst them to abolish Christianity and Judaism and revoke the Jizya because all the sons of Abraham will be united under his rule after Isa/Jesus defeats the Masih ad-Dajjal (literally "The False Messiah") or Antichrist and everyone will be happy ever after. That's right, Jesus in Islam is still going to return at the end of days to defeat the Antichrist at the end of days to govern as God's proxy on Earth.

Other cool things Mohammed has to say about Jesus are Surah Maryam (Mary) 19:19: [The angel] answered: "I' am but a messenger of thy Sustainer, [who says,] `I shall bestow upon thee the gift of a son endowed with purity.'"-Maryam 19:19

Mohammed also chastises the idea he is the most important prophet of God in Bukhari Book 9 Volume 83 Hadith 52: A Jew whose face had been slapped (by someone), came to the Prophet and said, "O Muhammad! A man from your Ansari companions slapped me. " The Prophet said, "Call him". They called him and the Prophet asked him, "Why did you slap his face?" He said, "O Allah's Apostle! While I was passing by the Jews, I heard him saying, 'By Him Who chose Moses above all the human beings.' I said (protestingly), 'Even above Muhammad?' So I became furious and slapped him." The Prophet said, "Do not give me preference to other prophets, for the people will become unconscious on the Day of Resurrection and I will be the first to gain conscious, and behold, I will Find Moses holding one of the pillars of the Throne (of Allah). Then I will not know whether he has become conscious before me or he has been exempted because of his unconsciousness at the mountain (during his worldly life) which he received."

It's amazing how much Islam and Christianity have in common with one another that their proponents choose to reject.

It's true that Mohammad plagiarized the Old Testament and the Gospel. If Mohammad was truly
inspired by God to write the Qur'an then there would be absolutely no contradictions between
    the two.
Correct. That's because they aren't the same.
Christianity and that "religion of peace" have nothing in common and they especially don't have
    the same God.

You have no evidence of this. The Prophet lived among pagans. There was no Christianity or Judaism in Mecca.

Lol, this alone proves how ignorant you are of the Qur'an. The only major difference between Islam and Christianity is that Islam isn't pagan.

    Yes there were.

Quite the contrary, Christianity isn't pagan. There is no credible evidence to make that connection.

Er, that was in Media, not Mecca.

    How was Jesus born?

My atheism has nothing to do with arrogance. I for one, am not always angry nor smug.

I don't see how your god is any more worthy of worship than any other of the pantheon of gods man has invented.

Humans are OF this world. It was not "given" to us by some invented invisible entity.
We share sentience with a number of other animals, but we conquered the planet because the homo genus clearly evolved to sapience.

We can start with the fact that God is perfect. It is He who created everything, and nothing happens in this universe without His will. You can't get sick if God doesn't will it, and you can't get healed if God doesn't will it, regardless of how hard you try.

It is He who is all-good, most merciful, and all-forgiving. God knows everything in the universe, and is aware of everything. It is He who willed that you have sight; that you have no physical abilities; that you have a steady income; and that you are sane.

Tell me, which god that has man invented that comes close to the eternal Creator of everything? I'd like just ONE example.

A god that kills its own creations is perfect? A god that allows for misery and death is perfect? A god that enables natural disasters is perfect? A god that has created the litany of murderous monsters we have experienced throughout our history is perfect? You have a rather unusual definition of perfect.

And why should I care what an imperfect being who is not all-wise think what an all-wise God should do? Apparently, atheists think with their emotions.

and why should I care what an imperfect being who is not all-wise think about attributing anything to a god that by their very own definition acknowledge they cannot know the mind of said god?

Might want to re-examine your perspective of people who do not share your faith.

It seems quite evident that its entirely the other way around.

Not this again. Just because we can not fully understand God does not mean we cannot attempt to know Him. And we attempt to know Him through His divine attributes.

Nonsense; you are the one who thinks an all-wise God wouldn't cause earthquakes and whatnot simply because it makes you feel bad.

No, it was not Mecca, but Medina:

Again, what was the process that led to Jesus' birth?

    ...evolution was the process.

Jesus evolved from Modern Homo sapiens into the Homoiousian sapiens.
