Where in my quote did I say that I would vote for him because he is my "idol"? You're just too funny. The rest is pish posh as usual...
The British he alienates aren't the ones who will go to war with you anyway. Anytime he winds them up, I laugh.
Why? Won the cold war, bankrupted the soviets, lowered taxes, economic growth.. Things went well under reagan I would also argue much because of Reagan. What was terrible about it?
Half the Brits loved him. Half took the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of him even more than they did Bush or Trump.
When he goes to America, we discuss banning him from coming back. Do you have Tony Blair living with you? There are a lot of people here looking for him.
The thing about Obama is very soon there will be "change". He speaks with no authority. Just like Mr Cameron.
Here are a few things; the tripling of your national debt, tax hikes for the middle-income earners, tax breaks for the rich, amnesty for millions of illegals (whom the right-wing despise), funding terrorism. I especially like the last one; funny how his fawning acolytes like to brush the uncomfortable issues under the rug... The one good thing he did (which again goes against the right-wing agenda), was to ratify the Montreal Protocol.
Wrong. The outgoing London Mayor, and heir presumptive to the Conservative party/current government leadership recently spoke of his horror at being mistaken for Trump.
That's exactly it. The conservative middle class just flat got tired of being held back by god, guns and gays harping. They prefer to make a living.
Doesn't really seem that horrible to me. Debt wasn't too bad, I don't buy the leftist view of the tax cuts I instead see it contributing to growth. amnesty isn't that horrible, would've been better if he'd also fixed the border too. Funding terrorism.. It's easy to say that was stupid with hindsight. I think that with the information available at the time, it seemed like a good move. I care about foreign affairs and the economy, and reagan did very well on both.
Britain is not like the days of olde. The muslims have infiltraited the country and it wont be long before Sharia law will be the law of the land. Their leaders sold out the country in the name of peaceful co-existance and promoted the pap not to say anything that would offend anyone. Damn shame that our country lost thousands of lives to defend Britain and Europe for two wars and all of them are being conquered by the Arabs without a shot being fired. What a much of pansies.
The USSR had reached it's end long before Reagan entered the stage. Him being the president when it happened was a circumstance and not something he contributed too. Gorbachev was the real reason. If for not him they might have dragged on for another decade and the transition could have been complete chaos. Lower taxes is not necessarily a good thing if you at the same time increase spending on all government sectors. Even if one could look back at the time with sympathy because of the monumental changes and nostalgia posterity has shown just how bankrupt 80's conservatism was. Ideologically, economically and culturally.
Well you're free to ban him from coming back if you like, but Cameron doesn't push our buttons the way Trump pushes yours.
No more than the next Republican candidate. The left won't like him. It doesn't matter who is or what he says or does, if he is a Republican, the left here won't like him. Same old same old.
Is that a joke or a classic non sequitur? So hard to tell...Ok, I'll bite... So, how did the BS spoon-fed by the GOP to its base prevent the suckers...er...conservative middle class...from earning a living? We're they too busy plotting the bombing of abortion clinics? Polishing their AR-15s? Protesting outside of gay bakeries? Enquiring minds would like to know. TIA.
Reagan was of course not solely responsible for the fall of the USSR, but he contributed. I agree that gorbachev was very important, but he did what he did much because he realised that the USSr couldn't keep up with reagan's arms race, so he had to change it somehow. It can be, if tax revenues go up. But anyhow, I don't care much about the debt under reagan. it went up, but that's not the worst thing in the world. It wasn't huge, it wasn't unmanageable. For bankrupting the soviets and paying for economic growth i'd say it was worth it.
Great Britain will always be our ally. Trump and Cameron will get along. And may we please have the bust of Churchill's which Obama returned? Americans regard Churchill as one of the giants of the last several hundred years. In the meantime, GB should focus on its economy and radical Islam. The US will always be your ally.
Two things - cheap imports which domestic industry couldn't possibly compete with, and an anarchic element in the unions. And they 'lost money' because the strikes went on for longer than anyone believed they would, after being so used to getting their own way with lesser governments.
If there's a Leave result (please god ) Cameron won't be around long enough to form a relationship with him one way or the other. 'The US will always be your ally' - don't waste your loyalty on us, Injeun, this country is on the skids.
