They keep polishing Ronnie's halo, but they just can't get rid of the stench.

Thanks, but no thanks - you'll need it more than me. But I guess they'd leave your head attached to your neck if you begged them on bended knees to let you 'change sides'. Thank god I'm smart enough to predict the future - as least it won't come as a shock to yours truly.

It's beyond belief, mate - and beyond hope too, I'm afraid. 'Those whom the gods wish to destroy . . . '?

Why don't you educate me then? Perhaps you can also correct all those historians while you're at it.

Don't worry about him and similar lot. They would convert within a millisecond hoping to save their backsides. We're talking liberals!

Yep, we liberals are amazed at how the Conservatives are keeping to their values by embracing Trump. Real role model for flip floppers and principled persons everywhere.

My elderly Mother once said something similar to me, " You know, you work and struggle all your life for what you think is yours....but it's only yours for as long as you can prevent them taking it from you. And when they do take it from you, you realize that it was never really yours." This was in response to petitioners, via the courts, having declared her to be incapacitated and unable to think or choose for herself, in spite of the fact that her measure of things was perfectly intact. And the powers that be, not so much so.

I lived through it, as I assume you did. I don't recall voluminous predictions of the imminent demise of the Soviet Union during the 80's. Quite the opposite in fact.

The predictable, 'well at least he's not as bad as Clinton...' is sure to follow. The lesser of two evils is still evil.

Trump does believe in God. The only problem is that he thinks it is himself.

And the Pope's comment on Trump's Christianity----

"A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the gospel," the Pope told journalists who asked his opinion on Trump's proposals to halt illegal immigration.

You're talking flip-flopping when you have Shillary, but she is a role model for the unprincipled Libs. WOW!

And they will take it with prejudice if anyone has the temerity to oppose them, and they eventually realise that a principle of protest is incontrovertibly sound: rather than concede they'll crank up their case and call in 'reinforcements': as an example I once 'took on' my local authority and my MP for failing to protect a vulnerable section of my community (it was being adversely affected by a serious noise issue which those who were domiciled nearest to it were driven to thoughts of suicide). Instead of meeting me to discuss it, they issued a summons to appear in court; I suggested mediation, it was rejected, and it wasn't long before I was threatened with a visit by bailiffs in default of the court appearance. 'democracy' is an illusion, as is Freedom of Information legislation - you'll only find out what they want to you find out. In short, we're being bullied and threatened by those whom our taxes afford a luxurious living. So much for 'No taxation without representation'? What me - cynical? You bet I am! I don't know how they sleep at night!! God how I loathe bureaucrats.

Well with Hillary you have some flip- flopping. With Trump you have out and out lying. Granted our political system seem to be resulting in less than desirable candidates. But I will take an an occasional flip-flopper over an outright lier anytime.

I believe Obama has got as far as he has due to his lack of ethics. He is not transparent. His administration is the most secret group in my lifetime other than FDR during his war.

I voted for Jimmy Carter. I always voted for Democrats. But the man let us all down. It was during him I checked into why I was a Democrat. The public did not want him. No departing president so rejected by the public leaves with ceremony. Obama won't go out with ceremony.

Reagan was very highly ethical. And pro the public. This is my main reason for replying to this old post.

Reagan not only is the best president during my 78 years, but the best of history.

He is hailed because of his greatness.

Donald is no Ronald Reagan. I saw Donald with the Mexican president today. I have no opinion on what happened since to me it looked like they were in the getting to know the other stage.

Donald makes a loud noise. We who supported different republicans worked for our real candidate. But the darned public, they were hot to trot for Trump and he blew past my favorite men.

    So shall I hate him?

    Actually should I support Hillary.

Actually no. I mean double no. She would not get my vote if she paid me cash from her corrupt election or her corrupt foundation.
