    HYPERLINK has full story

    snip

Radical group of the Islamic State (ISIS) on Friday executed a young Iraqi man by throwing him from the top of a building on charges of being gay. ..................................

“Those who dare to oppose Allah’s Sharia and the Caliphate’s rules deserve punishment,” an ISIS jihadi said before his fellow militants conducted the execution. ............................

The ISIS-linked Sharia Court had issued a decision to execute every gay man by throwing him from the top of a building, according to eyewitnesses..............

    end snip

First, I understand that the people who live in these areas do so by their own choice. They could take up arms, cinder blocks, knives, baseball bats etc against the Jihadis but instead choose to live by their rules.

What we as a society need to understand is that this treatment of homsoexuals is acceptable to the Religion of Peace.( if it wasn't then we'd see something happening) Do we wish to support Democrats who want to bring in more of these folks from those regions and also support Democrats who feel that we as a nation should simply turn our backs to these attrocities?

It seems that punishing Christians to pay huge fines and attend re-education camps because they will not bake a wedding cake for homosexuals is far more important than addressing those who kill homosexuals.

Wouldn't it be nice if these people had the same concern towards all the hundreds of Christians who are being killed each day in the ME and other places by ISIS and Al Nusra... as they do towards one gay man? There is a genocide going on that we don't hear about ...thanks to the MSM.

But then again what's one to expect when the only tolerant leader toward gays and religious minorities is Assad, and the demonizing towards him never stops so that Washington can put in an extremist Sunni leader.

Let me see if I get your point. Christians should be allowed to impose their beliefs onto others and homosexuals should tolerate it because at least they are not being thrown off buildings?

So if an employer refuses to hire Christians, that would be okay because at least he is not beheading them like they do in the Middle East?

If an employer refuses to hire a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a woman, a black, a brown, a Greek, a drunkard, a redhead, a short person, a tall person, a dumb person, a not so dumb person, etc.... so what! We might not like it, but there are a lot of things we don't like, that doesn't mean we have to trample on the individual rights of others.

Wow! Contradiction thread continues. So let me see if I get your point. If someone wants to trample on an others rights, but violates the law in doing so, His right to trample on the rights of others have been trampled on???

    We know. ISIS is bad.

They provide an excellent example why we must fight the right-wing extremists and their constant attempts to establish a state religion in this country.

The right-wing extremists are Jesus incarnated when compared to ISIS, also, the "moderate" muslims are as much if not more radical than the right wing extremists and one simple way to fight them is not letting them into your country.

Muslims have been in the US since the 1880s. How many gays have they thrown off roofs?

Moderate Muslims tend to be conservative and family oriented.

Give them time to become a majority, then you'll see the bodies starting to pile up.

That's the good part, the bad is they're bigoted of anything deemed unholy.

They are a majority in the world's most Muslim populated democracy - Indonesia. How many gays have they thrown off roofs?

I wouldn't go that far, but there is a difference and that difference is LARGELY because of our mostly secular society.

History is replete with evidence of what happens when the state controls religion.

Indonesia lashes gay people instead of throwing them off roofs, congrats are in order for them i suppose, so on best case scenario a majority would only lash gay people.

Don't you mean religion controlling the state?

In all fairness, countries like those in Europe and Canada where there was a state religion or where the state favoured one religion over others are pretty secular now.

In fact some investigation will reveal it is usually Leftists who have sympathy for the Islamists. Others who protest against them are often called Islamophobics.

Hopefully none, and maybe it's because nobody knows who's gay and who isn't?? [IMG]

The killer question! More to the point, how would you recognise one against one who's anything but moderate? The fact is it isn't possible, and that's because no one can read minds.

It is odd that they seem to have the knee-jerk urge to defend them, then further down the road need to be told why they were wrong to do so. [IMG] Bit like children when you think about it?

Right. But we can read Pew Research and see their attitudes. Polls suggest that a significant number support terrorism, which is possibly why the 'moderates' tend to be silent or are critical of Americans as a way to justify their actions.

That's exactly what happened with the Shah of Iran. Leftists around the world were eager to see the Shah go hoping that the Ayatollah Khomeini, exiled in France, would return to Iran and create a socialist paradise. Instead we now see what's going on after the Shah was deposed. They're now doing the same thing in Western Europe and the US with concerns abut "Islamophobia" after every terrorist attack and accuse those critical of Islamism as 'Islamophobes'.

They just never seem to learn.

We'll see what happens in Europe where they will either continue to appease, despite the rapes and murders, or whether when they finally respond to the point of vigilantism and a civil war. Many Europeans would like a Second Amendment of their own.
