Germany: Truck Plows Into Crowded Christmas Market in Berlin; Casualties Reported

German media are reporting a truck has run into a crowded Christmas market in the center of Berlin, causing multiple injuries.

Both the Berliner Zeitung newspaper and the Berliner Morgenpost reported the truck ran into the market outside the landmark Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church on Monday evening.

Into a Christmas market, for Christ's sake... Hope what comes into my head is not what has happened, and it was just an accident. Not taking any bets, though.

There is an old song, from my youth, called, I think, The Snake. It told a story about a loony tunes liberal who found a sick snake, in the cold, and brought it in to nurse it back to health. Once the snake was well, it promptly bit her, after initially begging the woman to..."take me in for heaven's sake".

Well the snake was venomous, and after it bit the woman of course she was crying, wanting to know why after all he had done from him, he had paid her back by biting her, injecting his venom. So, the snake looks and says...." you damn well knew I was a snake, when you brought me in"

This reminds me of Europe, of allowing in the snakes, some not poisonous, others very venomous. But with muslims, unlike snakes, there is no way to tell which is which. So, no good deed goes unpunished.

I highly doubt that. More likely the proper driver of the truck was killed by the one arrested but you might be right.

Our side can easily say "I told you so", but the thing is, many on the left already knew this would happen. The problem is they don't care. They've long ago decided that a reasonable amount of Islamic terrorist attacks was a worthy trade-off for increased political power and transformational change.

Police still cannoot not confirm whether the incident in Berlin was related to terror and had no information on the driver. But a witness said the truck had a Polish license plate, according to Reichelt, which leads me to speculate that it could be just a drunken Polish lorry driver. The black 19-tonne truck with a Polish number plate turned off an adjoining street and tore through the market.

German police is saying... the attack looks deliberate... is all is known at this point. If it was a betting situation, I'd know on what to put my money, though.

 

really need to start putting up concrete barriers at events that offer these types of mass casualty opportunities for nut balls. I understand the retractable concrete pillars like used at the WH and other locations work well for that.

 

according to polish news the guy arrested is not the polish driver from the truck
but the passanger was polish

so my gues is the driver was the first victim
