They hate being wrong. And it's been happening so often lately, many of them need crayons, hugs and Teddy Bears.
In the meantime jobs are coming back to America faster than Obama on his way to a fund raiser.

This morning Trump sends a tweet letting GM know the Cruze built in Mexico will suffer big import taxes. Several hours later Ford announces a complete turn-around and scraps plans to build a new factory in Mexico. Coincidence?

Sure have been a lot of coincidences since the election.

You can go "yes, but" all you want, but I doubt seriously that he would have made those comments about a better environment for business if Hillary had been elected.

Funny, I missed you cheering for obama when he tried this nonsense https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...s-have-hurt-consumers/?utm_term=.342cd083a7f4

Protectionism will NOT make America great again. Wake up.

    "Assumptions"

    "Seems likely"

    5. We ignore Harmonized Tariff
    Schedule (HTS) 4011.10.50 and
4011.20.5010 for the purposes of our quantitative analysis, even though these
    non-radial categories are aff
    ected by the 2009 tariff
    s. We focus our analysis
on radial automotive tires because non-radial automotive tires are a very small
share of the US tire market.

    6. Th
is part of our analysis refers to HTS 4011.10.10 (new, pneumatic,
radial, car tires). As mentioned in note 5, we ignore HTS 4011.10.5010 (new,
pneumatic, non-radial, car tires) for the purposes of our quantitative analysis.
Racing car tires were excluded from the safeguard tariff
    s.
    7. Th
is part of our analysis refers to HTS 4011.20.1005 (new, pneumatic,
radial, light truck and/or bus tires). As mentioned in note 5, we ignore HTS
4011.20.5010 (new, pneumatic, non-radial, light truck and/or bus tires) for
the purposes of our quantitative analysis because of their small volume.

Quite the study... Leave out information to come to a conclusion.

    THE COST OF PROTECTIONISM
To estimate the additional costs that the invocation of safeguard
    tariff
s imposed on US consumers we perform two calculations.
First, we estimate the higher amount paid for imported tires
    (not counting the tariff
itself ) on account of the substitution
towards higher cost car tires from other countries. Second, we
estimate the boost in amount paid by American consumers for
    US produced tires.

Assume things, leave out data and then use estimates that fit the pre-conceived notion.... You should be ashamed linking to this pile of crap labeled a study.

Who leads this group you ask?

A Globalist... Shocking i tell you.

"Fields also pointed out that the company could do well with a more positive U.S. manufacturing business environment under Trump. "We see the pro-growth policies that he's proposing. So, this is a vote of confidence in what we think the president-elect is going to pursue and it's right for our business," he said."

You do realize "Main reason" was not uttered by Fields and yet its in the headline.. Its why you have to read the article.

It turns out that Trumps "magic weapon" is a friggin' phone!

Trump has already exceeded Obama's work ethic and he's not in office yet!

The article claims Obama's tariffs on Chinese tires increased employment in the USA tire industry by 1,200 jobs. Is this the same Obama that claims Trump imposing similar import duties will harm America?

Right. And what was the cost to the consumer for the 1200 jobs? It was a great deal if you had one of those jobs but a TERRIBLE deal for EVERYONE ELSE.

Following this logic, as soon as all jobs are moved to China, the better off EVERYONE ELSE will be.
