Victoria Nuland who destroyed Ukraine for the globalist interests is pushing for reunification of the Greek and Turkish side in Cyprus before Trump takes office. While the Cypriot people are kept in the dark over the negotiations, and the Archbishop is furious at Pres. Anastiadis and one judge even wants to try him for treason, who do you think is being blamed? Russia of course.

What is ignored is that Russia and Cyprus have been aligned for decades and that Russia has contributed heavily to Cyprus' economy. Also that 80,000 Russians now live in Limassol. Of course there is a natural affinity towards the Russians, the same as there is a natural antipathy towards the Americans considering what Kissinger did to them.

By pushing terms now that would favor Turkey at the expense of the Greek population, and maybe even their annihilation, the US and Nato would pull Erdogan to their side. It would also help cut into Russia's gas lines by having gas from the Israeli and Cypriot deposits go through Turkey.

Right now there are 40,000 Turkish troops on the island illegally, and one third of the island is occupied. The Greek Cypriots want the troops to leave, but Turkey who has expansionist ambitions to take the whole island refuses to make it part of the agreement. Here's a brief history for those not in the know:

Cyprus is located in a very strategic area. There is an English base on the island, and Greece, Britain and Turkey are protectors of the island. It was supposed to go to Greece under the Lausanne Treaty, and Winston Churchill promised it would go to Greece after WWII, but Britain reneged since Greece was in a civil war at the time... using as an excuse the objections of a 13% Turkish population.

In the seventies under the pretense of a massacre of some Turks by Greek nationalists from the mainland, Turkey, having an okay from Henry Kissinger at the time that Nixon was being impeached, invaded the island killing thousands and stealing one third of it.

Turkey right now has 40 thousand troops and over 10 thousand tanks on the island waiting for the opportune time to ethnically cleanse the rest of the island of its Greek inhabitants and give the homes to Turks from the mainland.

Much of the following by Greekpronews is a commentary of what was written in the globalist Politico.

Russia is a strategic ally of Cyprus over the years, and is being blamed for hindering the "solution" to the Cyprus problem by not persuading the average Cypriot that the abolition of the state and putting it under full control of Ankara is for their own good!

Politico did not fail to mention that "Russia tried to block the Cyprus unification in 2004, and vetoed the changes that would have come about if Cyprus voted in favor of it.

In November, Lavrov asked the UN not to "impose its own vision" for the settlement of the Cyprus problem. "

Politico's concerns comes amid reports that the Kremlin intervened in American and European elections with cyber" fake news "propaganda and support from famous popular dissident movements"

Unlike the US, the Russians only go where they are invited. ..and they were invited into Cyprus to protect them from Turkey and Nato's criminality decades ago. As for the Turkish forces, they are the most heavily armed country in Nato... although I might be mistaken about the amount of tanks. I could be thinking of the amount of Turkish tanks facing Syria... which is 10,000. I believe it's 5,000 in Cyprus. Anyway the Cypriot people want all foreign troops to leave... including the British.

What is being proposed by Nuland and company is illegitimate since it will dissolve the country and create a new one. Besides they refuse to hold a referendum... knowing of course the Greeks will oppose it. Without a referendum, it will be vetoed in the Security Council by Russia.

So far the Turks have refused to make the removal of their troops part of the agreement, and they refuse to give up their right as a protectorate so Pres. Anastiadis of Cyprus said nothing doing. If he didn't he would be killed. The Cypriots don't play nice...ask Kissinger.

By the way when Turkey moves into taking over all of Cyprus, which it might because of the problem with the territorial waters, it will be the start of WWIII. It's one of the things Russia will not tolerate. Erdogan foolishly thinks he can give Russia a few benefits with the gas pipeline, and they will risk their security in the Eastern Mediterranean and Aegean. Well he's wrong! :oldman:

Russians go where they invited..like Baltics annexation 1940, polish Karyn, Finland invasion, holodomor ukraine, georgia invade, Afghanistan 79, those kinda invitations, Kremlin has a helluva sense of humor, oh wait they don't..my mistake what was I thinking. So now 5000 Turkish tanks in Cyprus, 10000 in Syria, where else is there thousands? Even the moskals would have a hard time gathering up that many tanks...that run half decent and won't have to be towed like their ACC! Yah, turkey in NATO they are not far from a lunatic asylum what they call Muscovy...seems they have Alzheimer's and claim to forget where they are half the time.seems Russians have a hard time tolerating anything..sure like places they can't invade..duhh, medit sea and Aegean aren't russian lakes, like they seem to claim, and 80000 alleged russkies in Cyprus? Perhaps oligarchs and their cronies hiding monies like everyone else.

The Aegean is a Greek lake and Russia is going to help them keep it that way. As for the Eastern Mediterranean, it is a Greek, Cypriot and Egyptian lake, and Russia is going to help them keep it that way too. Anything else you want to know?

As for the amount of Russians in Cyprus, according to the Greek count it's 80,000, but calculating it from the Cypriot demographics I came to about 55,000. I guess it depends on whether they are including those who are married to Cypriots or not.

As for the tanks, the Greeks say there are about 5,000 Turkish tanks on Cyprus. They might be including other armored vehicles as well. One thing is for sure though, to Erdogan lying is an art, so you can't trust anything he says.

Take a good look at the map, that way you will know where WWIII will start. These areas have a lot more strategic importance to Russia than a bunch of worthless Baltic countries.

Now the Baltics are worthless countries...before you said they weren't even countries...I don't think you know yourself what you talk about. Even 5000 tanks I believe is a stretch...20000 Turkish personnel plus other maintenance crews...mmmmm...still can't see it..with that kind of hardware there the would over in it completely. As far as the medit and Aegean Sea..the Russians may keep it "Greek" for Russia's purposes more than anything...just like the naval base at Tartus Syria.

Yep, every single Turkish soldier on Cyprus is part of a tank crew - cunning buggers. An all-armoured occupation force. ****** these Turks are devils.

Oh, wait, now its 5000, or does the 5000 include all armoured vehicles??? But there are definitely 10,000 facing Syria....or does that include other armoured vehicles?

Of course, this is more than the total number of armed vehicles Turkey possesses, and many of those are sitting in depots or mothballs.

Maybe they can recruit some of those 130 NATO officers who keep popping up all over Syria to drive them.

Do you think Jeanette actually believes even a fraction of this BS, or is it just pure trolling?
