Of course we do.....we also use critical thinking and understand neither are minimally productive and the Billion could actually be used to educate them for said future.

American of course....that is what this discussion is about. Interesting that in your profound intellectual prowess you feel the need to sideline the discussion into something you are more comfortable complaining about. At least you are showing the product of American education.

    Let me guess....Catholic school?

What American education? I'm English mate, that's the English cross of St George on the flag at the top right of my posts.
As for catholics (and most other organised religions and cults), they're a joke and I avoid them like the plague!
PS- To return to the Wall topic, Don wants to keep bad hombres out, sounds good to me..:)

My point is you liberals fell flat on your face with that and many other predictions. Why should we believe you now? You guys also said that he won't act on his word. Basically, it has come to the point that whatever the left says its true there's a 90% possibility that the complete opposite is true.

That "left" that festers in your noggin may well be metastasizing.

Even as your ingénue messiah flips on Israel stealing Palestinian land, vows to cooperate with the China about which he had talked so tough, supports the NATO that he had labeled "obsolete", rescinds his illegal ban on green card holders, coddles the Wall Street thieves he had vilified, abandons his commitment to trash the ACA "immediately", etc. etc. etc., the reality tv performer will retain the blind faith of his cult. As he accurately noted, ""I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters!"

While the Muslim ban is somehow bearable, I don't think building a wall across the border is such a great idea. Something needs to be done but that method feels kinda outdated. With all this technology we have today, there must be a better option.

Children should not be taught to build walls, if that makes sense.

Trump signs the order for a wall to protect the Homeland's children and citizens, what a great President he is..:)

Anyway, Don has already said that some parts of the wall will be a fence like this one that already exists along parts of the border. Don simply wants to plug the gaps..:)

Every one worrying about 'the wall' can relax. It is just another lie that donald served with his kool-aid. People who believe him don't realize it would be physically impossible to build a wall.

The wall is an investment that will pay dividends for many years.

    - - - Updated - - -

We put a man on the moon in 1969, but 48 years later we can't build a steel and cement wall?

    That makes no sense.

What makes building a wall impossible is the terrain. Your living in Texas I would think you're familiar enough with the geographical lay out of the land to know that a (singular) wall is impossible.

Couldn't agree more, it's one thing to say "we'll build the wall". It's another to double down and say Mexico will pay for it, LOL. The reality is likely half of Texas members of Congress aren't fond of the wall and there are great swaths of Texas where a wall makes no sense, extremely difficult to engineer and a complete, total waste of money. In Texas much of the wall will need to be built on private property, handling the eminent domain lawsuits will be take years - not to mention the optics of Trump forcing private landowners to give up property for his "wall of babel". And here I thought the rabid right promoting this nonsense was anti-government overreach. I would think most Texans are aware of the issues and I'm guessing at least half of the people of Texas think the whole idea is pretty lame, especially once they are aware of the problems......

Expensive, not impossible. But those areas can be covered by drones, manpower, etc and still have a fence of some type or other physical barrier.

You need less in other places with the wall and the wall is an upfront cost with a long life. It's infrastructure and it wouldn't be this bad if we'd never given Mexico back their sovereignty after they just had to get salty. We could be talking a much shorter and more favorable area. But nooooooo, give the fairly beaten aggressor in a hot war their (*)(*)(*)(*) back.

Spending up $10 Billion on something clearly broken before it is built, and charging everyone in the country to do so because of chest beating in a political campaign about a relatively minor issue considering both the actual illegal migration and the benefits said illegals provide in food production is beyond a doubt one of the most ignorant things ever proposed.

As I said, building a wall would be impossible. We already have areas covered by drones, manpower, etc so all the shouting by the donald comes up short again.

Yes, there's an old military saying- "An obstacle not covered by fire is not an obstacle", but the Wall will be covered, not by gunfire but by the eyeballs of Don's beefed up Border Patrol backed up by hi-tech optics and big drones for day and night surveillance...:)
Sure, the bad hombres could use ladders, but the delay in setting them up will give the BP plenty of time to swoop..:)
