No EMTLA requires them to provide it BY law to ANYONE regardless of ability to pay. You don't even have to be a citizen. Even a visitor. A Tourist. That's how expansive this right is

The legal requirement of right was being determined. And it has been determined, one can't be refused treatment and left to die. Even if they can't pay.

I just wonder how, over the last tens of thousands of years, humanity ever survived without some of the things people now consider "necessities" or "rights".

Well of course they "can compel". They have big guns. Might makes right, right?

You might want to get studied up on the actual law.

I chose to live, period. I had no "choice" over where or when I was born. Society was forced upon me by powerful people with big guns. Might makes right, right?

You have a natural right to life. The definition of "life" is the period between birth and death. There is no guarantee of a specific quantity or quality of "life". Only that you get one.

Not sure, but I read where some communities were legislating the capture of rainwater, even on your own property, by saying it's not yours.

You can create legal rights, not natural ones. A natural right does not, cannot, burden or obligate another person in any way.

That's nice. And who cares? Legal rights are the only ones that count

I am very well acquainted with water laws in California. We have many laws based on a treaty with Mexico. When you buy property in this state, you own all that is beneath the surface plus what is on top of the surface. We have a well constructed title business to make sure things are kept in order. Since we own water on our land, there really is no way for the state to stop us getting our own water. We have laws over rivers, lakes and so on that are shared with other owners. We have laws about what happens if your neighbor has a dam creating a pond or small lake and it breaks. This state is overloaded with rules and regulations.

It is possible i suppose that states that follow English Common law, prevailing in the East don't cover things as CA covers them.

I take it you no longer sell insurance and became a lawyer recently?

If you are done with the insults try challenging my facts with your own facts. It's called intelligent debate

I've always thought there were two types of government services that we should be taxed on. Those that can be measured should be paid for in proportion to one's use, such as roads, and some benefit all of us equally and should be paid for equally, such as police and fire standby protection (police and fire RUNS, on the other hand, are measurable).

I am not clear that making the Government the provider makes it a right. I was provided health care in the Army but they never told me it was a right for life.

Only because someone has big guns and prisons and can force them on you under threat. Are you a big believer in "might makes right"? Do you support bullying as a way to get what you desire?

Intelligent debate as you mentioned calls for that in return. Do you ever admit you are not clear on issues?

if the law mandates it you will, and I will have a right to it.
Your definition of rights. Stupid I know, but it is your argument.
