Then why all the liberal tears? Overreacting with emotions as usual?

I would have said NEOGEO but that got bought out as well and is starting to go downhill, History is all about the 'aliens' now, TLC has whatever kiddy pageant or some family with 50 kids.

Plus all those 'shows' you watch generally require an expensive cable package. PBS doesn't. Sorry man, but I see it as an essential service to the country (and mine as well considering how much time I spent watching it as a kid).

And so watching shows without commercials is so important to you you demand taxpayer dollars fund them. How absurd.

Oh, I see, you think I should role play for your political position...Heh...Almost laughable, if not so pathetic..carry on..If they are cut, they are cut...I am sure the programs will continue through other means..When I worked at several stations thirty years ago we had to do fund raising programs also...So annoying, but better than listening to insolent unintelligent rubes bitch about funding them with a few cents out of their pockets..

The programing alone is worth the dough because of the educational direction that is available for low income people that can't access the internet 24/7..

Never heard that from me and in fact I'm on record as saying I listen to NPR every morning. Unlike lockstep liberals I like to hear all sides so I can have a fully informed opinion. I do resent paying for this left wing news though and if you want the government to fund them you should fund FOX too. NPR won't cease to exist without government funding but it will have to stand on its own as it should. Why does the left always need to be propped up?

You seem to be saying NPR and PBS don't have enough listeners or viewers to support themselves. If they are as popular as you and others suggest, this should not be an issue.

Sorry, lies about NPR being "left wing news" just because they provide facts and all sides of an issue doesn't cut it with me....it's just fear that someone will blow holes in the rights "alternative facts".

Just because you view factual history, good drama, art, science, music, and comedy as "leftist" doesn't mean no one should have access to it unless they're wealthy.

I never said they were popular. I said they were essential. That's the point. Learning channels aren't as popular as other channels, but they provide a service to the people.

If you need BILLIONS to build a fictitious wall YOU donate, don't demand that I do....see how that works?

NPR can stand on its own two feet without government subsidies just like everyone else. Why do you leftist feel you need extra rights and government backing? If you have a good product it will sell.
