    I'm not claiming to deport. It just makes sense to keep the family together. So to let them go is far better. But to allow the illegal to stay is unreasonable and out of the question. To set such a precedence is asinine.

    I don't care about who's vote I get. I make decisions on logic, and what's right and wrong. I'm sure we would get a lot of votes if we just opened our borders....but we shouldn't do that.

    Never mind all the work they do for lousy wages... work YOU won't do.

    They contribute far more than they receive in welfare or other services. And if a family member is working, then the dynamic is no different than for a legal resident or citizen... except they're paid less.

    I am Appalachian, but have lived among Mexicans for decades. I know that their presence here is a cultural benefit for this country. I know that the presence of the racists who hate them brings this country down. That is very clear.

    When you lose a war you don't make the rules. BTW in Texas, Spain, then Mexico claimed huge swaths of lands they didn't control. Mexican hold on Texas was a small string of tenuous missions that went from the border to San Antonio, which is not very far. The coastal missions were not even constantly inhabited.

    What a lame attempt to excuse racism. Pay attention: there is no "race"! It is a bogus concept, invented by Euroimperialists to rationalize their abuse of non-Europeans.

    RACISM exists, however, though race does not. Bigotry against an ethnic group is called RACISM. Hatred and the desire to hurt Mexicans is RACISM. Period.
