I like being able to hunt and fish in places that the only thing liberal is the amount sunscreen I rub on and the amount of alcohols, and recently cannabis I consume :rock_slayer:

If you're an American the correct answer is always yes.

Can you imagine being in trench with some of these guys and having to worry about whats in front of you, beside and behind you! Personally if these were my choices I'd go it alone and increase my survival rate substantially ;)

I'd be turned off to the company and move on to a different interview but not before I asked them why they asked that particular question.

So Donald Trump's election(a response to America being ripped off overseas), makes you want to further disenfranchise your OWN country? We're hopeless alright, but Donald's not the reason. If I had to give an elaborate answer. 'I'm proud of the American Experiment the Founders created. I'm not proud of my neighbors in this country.'

If you have such staunch values, you must be sickened by the swindler occupying The Oval Office and I'm not being sarcastic.

My honest answer is: "That is a stupid question. It's like asking me if I'm proud to be an enjoyer of pizza."

It's a good thing the law doesn't yet have anything to say about employers discriminating along the lines of patriotic brainwashedness.

It's not just a problem of the left when you have a former US general who has very possibly committed treason by helping an enemy - Russia. So does Flynn love America when he is screwing hus own country for the Russians? I don't think so.

What a sad state of mind. You ought to talk to someone to find out if maybe it's YOU who is "sick, demented, and dangerous". I'm not trying to be a wise guy. But there is something terribly amiss when you absolutely believe that you're right, but everyone else is wrong.

I'm not sure whether it's an illegal question, but it seems inappropriate to me.

You should never be discriminated against because of your politics in this country.

I happen to work with many people who do not share my political views. And that's fine with me. We are a diverse nation, and we thrive from working through our differences.

I would have answered the question the same way you would have, and not elaborated. I am VERY proud to be an American. In fact, I would have made a point of refusing any attempt by the interviewer to get me to elaborate.

That may have produced the same result as the inteviewee in this scenario apparantly suffered.

    And that is wrong.

Political litmus tests are un American. First, last and always.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the F-150's and Wrangler's built in America, and the Gibson and Fender guitars made here, but Trump is like that bad fart that's left a taste in ones mouth. I can't as eagerly buy American as I was when Obama was in office. I'm more inclined to buy guitars or cars from S. Korea, Japan or Germany now to tell the truth.

Well, your consumer choices are your own. I can't really rag you for it(other than, as I said: Hypocritical lol. When you consider the main complaint was lack of jobs.). And then to be sure(and noted): Because of the market pressures, American Made items are generally more expensive, but I think we should make a conscious effort to buy in America which may very well depress prices to making them more affordable for more buyers.

Besides, I think we're too heavily dependent on imports from abroad. We fear about what Trump might do overseas, but that really is hiding the bigger issue: We're worried about losing imports of rare materials(such as computers) from Asia, etc. We could INSTEAD be developing these type of technologies ourselves.

Instead of the global economy being an advantage for America, we used it as a cheap credit card to cover up our hollow economy and our hollow productivity in the country.

I do not understand why I'm supposed to be proud of something over which I had no control. There might be some validity to the question if you are a naturalized citizen who went through the standard procedure to become a citizen but if you are born here or born black or white or green or puce or whatever the hell why should you be proud of an accident of birth? Am I proud of my country and how far it has come from where it began in some ways yes, in others no. Am I happy to be an American? Damn straight. I can think of no other country in which I would wish to be born.

The United States of America is still a nation of laws where anyone from humble beginnings can earn their way to a better future and fulfill their dreams. The only thing that can hold you back is too much government.
