This was a fight between the DNC/GOP elitist cooperative and grassroots America.

There was no incompetence in pursuing a healthcare plan that would actually work well. Hillary would have been crying for funds to save the ACA had it not been for her defeat.

Comey stated that the FBI is investigating. The only problem is that after 8 months there is still no evidence to be able to take to a grand jury.

You do know how the law of the land works and what it takes to change it, don't you?

Civics doesn't seem to be a very strong subject amongst trump defenders.

Spineless worms hide behind keyboards and pretend they are men.
You have a LOT of pretending to do before you even measure up to a spineless worm.

Rigging elections and consistently lying to Americans seems to be the strong suit of Obama defenders. Add illegal spying to that soon enough.

Their fingerprints are all over it now.
7 yrs to come up with a better plan, and they failed on day 1.
It is now, the law of both parties.

Which means, they don't have anything better. So now it's an American issue, not a party issue.
And it's been an American issue from day 1 and before.
But the R's have just joined reality.

The funny thing, it's the plan the R's came up with in the 1990s. Adopted in Mass by a R governor.

And were rising faster thanks to R's doing nothing.

These increased costs for employers and employees alike may seem steep—up around 50% over the past eight years—but they could have risen far higher had the Affordable Care Act never passed. The Kaiser study shows that average family premiums rose 20% from 2011 to 2016. That rate of increase is actually much lower than the previous five years (up 31% from 2006 to 2011) and the five years before that (up 63% from 2001 to 2006).

When the right can stop lying, then they can work on a plan.

My guess is they have stopped lying to themselves. They just haven't told the uneducated voters of RW that.

It's the law of the land. We all own it, until it's changed.
7 yrs to bring in a change. Failed. Didn't even make it to a vote.

What is the plan? Correct, it's not over, it's in its infancy, and the R's are sticking their head in the sand.

If the ACA does implode, it will be in the near future, under the R watch. Because they did nothing to fix, change, improve. Tough spot for the party of do nothing. They can no longer do nothing.

But, you are welcome to give us your take on solving this issue.

The republicans are in charge right now, not the democrats; if every republican supported the bill it would have passed by a large margin. Time for the republicans to get their house in order, not the democrats.

Donald Trump, as President, is charged with enforcing and supporting the law of the land. Obamacare is the law of the land.

Time for Donnie to get to work.

    10 pages to this thread.
7 years to come up with a plan.

Has this thread given 1 single way to solve the healthcare issue?
Has any R, given 1 single plan put forward in 7 years?

    R's, what's the matter?

You get subsidies do you? Well you are welcome for that because I am paying through the nose for it. Pardon my roughness, but I have had it to my eyeballs paying for people that can't pay for themselves. I hope you understand that your subsidies are other people's hard earned income.

Trump is sure letting a lot of people hang themselves as of late. Including those he placed into his campaign effort and those in his own cabinet. And now those in the republican party.

I guess draining the swamp starts within is own circle.
But, when all attempts at fixing what he says he will fix fails, go golfing. For he lauded obama for going golfing to get a break from it all.

12 golf outings in 9 weeks. I guess, golf will solve all of Americas woes. Only if you're RW.

Do you know what cost shifting is? That's why healthcare costs were rising exponentially sine the 1980s. ACA was intended to slow the rising costs.

I'm pretty sure we are happy to work on fixing it with the Republicans, and have been open to the idea for the last seven years. However, your republican party has been the party of "oh hey lets shut down the government instead of working with democrats, because a black man is president." So the Republicans hold the House, Senate, and Presidency. The ball is in their court. Stop the rhetoric of repeal from the last 7 years, and start coming to the middle and compromising for the benefit of all people.

Go back to the 1990s. And all those free trade agreements that sent good paying jobs out of country.
Go back to the housing boom, that inflated economic activity with housing as a bank loan.
Go back to the crash of the housing boom, that saw the money in housing never falling, crashing and then showing that we have no real economy, for the jobs that sustain growth are in china and mexico.

Well you are welcome, for it was our gov't that paved the way, so corporations could make excessive profits. At your expense.

I'm not an expert on the subject but I hope they roll back entitlements and red tape. We need to emphasize free market competition and choice. Obviously we need to careful of monopolies so I actually would be in favor of negotiating drug prices with the pharmaceuticals.

Moving towards single payer universal healthcare is not my preference. We can keep some stuff like stay on the plan til 26 for kids, maybe special pools for people with preconditions.

I'm cool also if we turn the subsidies into tax credits, so we actually get a tax cut, but it shouldn't be regressive. The most important tax cut in my opinion though is the corporate tax rate. Then people can get jobs and have money to actually get insurance that is individually suitable and actually usable instead of large premiums and deductibles.

I have a quiz for you. Suppose Republicans take a hands off Obamacare approach and let it just implode- it will in a few years under its own weight, both providers and insurers are leaving it. Who's fault it's gonna be, Republicans or Democrats?

That's an easy answer, R's. They sat there and watch the thing implode, under their watch.
Just like they are responsible for the 2008 housing crash, under their watch.
R's just sit back and watch the whole world crash around them.
