I was born in 1948--over 69 years ago--yet, in all this time, I have never before seen an organized "resistance" to any president.

There have been some Republican presidents, and some Democratic presidents, since 1948; but never before has one encountered organized "resistance."

I suppose the hard left is just now showing its true colors.

And, of course, the efforts of George Soros and other committed socialists should not be overlooked...

    Oh, I see the problem.

You were asleep during the Bill Clinton and Barack Obama administrations.

    No problem.

Ya could look 'em up in the history books.

Your side was vicious...but that's the way it goes at times.

Seems to me you'd be a lot better off enjoying the win, though...rather than doing this constant whining.

Your side did win, you know.

I am older than you are by a year, but apparently you lead me in dementia.
    Clinton
    Obama
    Nixon
    Bimbo Bush
ALL were opposed vehemently. Have you forgotten the GOP refusal to approve ANYTHING under Obama? Even the Heritage Foundation idea for health insurance that was the same as RomneyCare not one in the GOP would vote for because it had "Obama cooties" on it.

Some presidents had only mild opposition - Ford, Reagan, Carter, Pappy Bush

I have never seen a more unqualified occupant of the White House, a more corrupt and incompetent regime, so full of lies and distortions. Nepotism. Denial of Science. Blatant conflicts of interest.
I hated Nixon because of his lies about Vietnam and his position that he was above the law, but he at least knew the environment should be taken care of. He disliked the press, but did not try to muzzle it. His lies in total have been surpassed by Trump. And Nixon was also intelligent - something nobody accuses Trump of.

That is also the reason why democrats are losing power. They lost the House in 2010, then the Senate in 2014, and finally the presidency in 2016. But they continue to do the same things that have caused their losses. I bet when they lose the Senate to a SUPER MAJORITY of republicans in 2018, they still won't step back for some introspection as to WHY they keep losing.

Oh please - sell your assertions that roses grow from conservative asses on this issue someplace else. Both parties partake.

Like there aren't any Republicans who oppose the Donald too? It's the GOP that is in danger under the Donald's Presidency.

Like all dems you must have been asleep during the primaries and general election. He ran against moderates and conservatives winning the nomination. Trump is an outsider elected to change Washington. No one in D.C. wants that, but the people do. Get over it.

Like most Trumpies, you don't understand the difference between popular vote and electoral vote. You also don't understand checks and balances, or a whole host of other things because you were asleep during your Social Studies classes in high school -- or did you drop out before then?

Can reasonable people agree Trump is the first president whose impeachment the opposition party was planning even before inauguration day?

I certainly understand the mechanics more than YOU and DEMOCRATS DO. Trump is the president and dems are LOSERS! SINCE 2010!

Anyone who starts with an insult is, apparently, unable to argue his case cohesively.

It is one thing to "oppose" a president's policies.

It is quite another to viscerally despise the president, and therefore be a part of some organized "resistance."

Since the GOP leans center-right (and some lean even further to the right), it is hardly surprising that it would oppose the proposed policies of a leftist president.

Whether you are willfully promoting a distortion, or you are simply unaware of the differences, I do not know.

But ObamaCare and RomneyCare were hardly identical. (For one thing, ObamaCare genuflected more to the impoverished, by eliminating all co-pays and deductibles.)

In any case, it is a strawman argument to attribute to me--wrongly--support for RomneyCare.

I think this speaks to your frothing hatred for Donald Trump (which is hardly the same thing as a mere disagreement with his policies)...

    (1) Perhaps you missed the operative word, "organized."

    (2) These are a few haters; and haters should not be tolerated, on either the left or the right.

    (3) There was--to the best of my knowledge--no organized effort to delegitimize President Obama, and therefore cause him to resign.

"Haters should not be tolerated"? Really. I must have missed that part in the Constitution. It's practically an American Pastime. You think Birthers didn't hate Obama and try to delegitimize his Presidency? That was the whole point. And Trump was King of the Birthers. Your post is BS.

And you think "Defeat Obama!" wasn't organized resistance? We see what we want to see.

    1. Bold type does not make you look smarter, in fact....

    2. I cannot turn on any of the mainstream media, other than FOX ( and even that sometimes) and find nothing but negative stories about President Trump as the headline. This has been going on ever since Nov. 8, 2016. I will agree there have always been wacko's on both sides but this time is is a whole kind of different. As someone previously stated the Democrat party better quickly understand they have seriously screwed up because middle class America has figured out you are crazy.

    3. Please remind us when you have ever seen this kind of piling on a POTUS. Don't give me Kenya as it wasn't even close.

    4. I implore you to continue making jackasses of yourselves because all it has done for millions of sane Americans is cheer President Trump on to make your lives a living hell for the next 8 years and I am one of them.

So you want to make the lives of the majority of Americans "hell" so that the 35% of Americans who still approve of the job Trump is doing can get their jollies? Freaky stuff you got going there.

I have explained my use of bold type.

    http://politicalforum.com/index.php...ader-looks-like.498372/page-7#post-1067166858

Okay...but lots of presidents have had lots of negative press.

Donald Trump deserves all he is getting.

    What I said holds.

The piling on of Barack Obama was huge...and some was the kind of thing only a barbarian would shovel.

If you think not...fine. That is your right.

    Good enough.

But I think you will discover that he may well make life a living hell for everyone...including his deluded supporters.

In a year when Republicans won the White House they lost seats in both the House and Senate.

Given Trump's current standing and the willingness of the overwhelming majority of Republicans in Congress to kowtow to his whims and the fact that despite majorities in the House and Senate the Republicans has been unable to pass a single significant bill, maybe you should worry about 2018 a bit more.

I am sure very little of what you write is true. Just as it is with all Republicans, I am neither Dem. or rep. But I can tell you, the right misleads. I do see now, like you write, a dem. party that is FINALLY fighting back, doing what the republicans have done for the past 20 years, going back to the clinton presidency. Fox news, McConnell, the VP, Breitbart, and talk radio has for years mislead the american public.
When this healthcare bill is passed and millions are without insurance and dont get a tax cut, they should then know, what is real and what isn't. Yet, those dumb Okies, bama's, redneck, hicks and uneducated northerners will not understand because they are too Obtuse to turn off FOX news. Thus, Fox can lie and blame the dems for their lack of healthcare coverage. I never knew people could be such liars and live with themselves...
Trump is a joke, and has no business as president, just as McConnell does not belong either. It is all money, like the healthcare bill, it isn't a problem other than the rich want a whole lot more and dont want to help those in need. They don't, they will look you in the face and say they do, and as log as they don't get caught in a lie, all is good. They are just bad people, like those posting on here. BAD PEOPLE !

So was Obama. Since both descriptions are purely personal opinions and not impeachable offenses, guess you're stuck with Trump like we were stuck with Barry. :(
