Yes, he'd still be president. The best part is that it bruises Trump's fragile ego, and that pleases me. It also pleases me that the majority of Americans have not fallen for a con-man.
There was no unified effort to get Clinton of Obama out of office. Sure, there were a few diehard right wingers that dreamed of that happening, but they were a minority. There was a majority on the right that wanted to block Obama's leftist agenda. Today we see the left marching in lock step to delegitimize Trump and drive him from office. They won't rest until Trump resigns or is impeached.
You are joking, right? Look up Clinton impeachment. What, specifically, was Obama's "leftist" agenda? Health insurance to approach what the rest of the civilized world has had for a long time? He never tried to get your guns. Leftist only compared to Fascism.
I'm white. I am not hostile to all whites, just science deniers, fascists, and those who want religion (theirs, of course) in government. Those groups do tend to be mostly white.
Some of the posts on this page illustrate why we have such irreconcilable divisions. Just look at how the right choses to belittle and demean the opposition rather than rely on legitimate argument. Apparently they have few.
Yes, it is a major concern. I see the GOP following closely the path of fascism as it came to be in Italy and Germany. Government working on behalf of corporations over the people. Stamp out unions. Ultra-nationalism. Read some history. Hitler had to meet with Krupp, Farber, etc., and get their blessing and backing before he could assume power.
Please tell me you are kidding. Do you need to be reminded of what McConnel said RIGHT after Obama was elected?
It's a pendulum swing back to the right: 1) freeing business from onerous government regulations that shackle growth and progress 2) acting internationally and domestically in the best interest of the U.S. 3) a renewed respect for the Constitution and applying the law equally for all (no favorite groups) There are other examples that I'm not thinking of right now.
Yes, he said he would block a leftist agenda. He never said he wanted Obama out of office. Many on the left today don't want to just block Trump's agenda. They want him gone.
I'm still trying to figure out who is going the lead the democrat's 'resistance' back to electoral victory. Ashley Judd? Katy Perry? Could a liberal clue me in here?
It's all perspective. 1) Are there some regulations that should go? No doubt, but not dumping waste in streams is not one of them. 2) Then let's remove incentives that favor shipping jobs overseas. Let's cancel the corporate deduction for taxes paid to foreign governments. 3) I have no idea what you are getting at.
http://www.onenewspage.com/video/20...strates-Infrastructure-Regulation-Hurdles.htm This is why we would never trust you guys to do infrastructure, or anything for that matter. Democratic politics is political machine of cronyism.
I think that it is normal for those of one party to hope for (and even attempt to orchestrate) the defeat of the president attached to the other party. No, that does not amount to "organized resistance." I cannot remember--in any previous presidency--a "resistance" movement...
The Republican Party made no such claim. Let us not equate some extremists (who claim attachment to the GOP) with the party itself.
Please enlighten me. Note: If you are referring merely to Sen. McConnell's desire to make Barack Obama a "one-term president," I see nothing sinister there. (After all, the then-Minority Leader of the Senate would naturally wish for his own party to win the next presidential election.)
No, I do not consider Donald Trump to be an "extremist." He retracted the "birther" claim in 2016. Personally, I am not in 100 percent agreement with Donald Trump--I consider myself to be a neoconservative, whereas he is pretty much all over the place--but I do agree with him some 80 or 85 percent of the time. Even when I disagree with him, it is certainly not because I would consider him to be an "extremist"...
