The new leadership cant change the fact that if Deutsche Bank goes down you get a economic desaster 100 times greater than Lehmann Brothers bancruptcy

Doubling the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere from what it was at the start of the industrial revolution will result in 1 degree C of warming without considering the feedbacks. And the models predicting catastrophe from feedbacks haven't been right yet.

What we've seen of AGW is a slight warming, and that's good because cold weather kills far more people than hot weather.

You should mark your words as satire.

How exactly is drought, record heat and dried up rivers in summer good for Germans?

Ashes from millions slaughtered in Nazi concentration camps probably work better for potatoes.

It may not be, but that's not our problem. The fact is that fewer people die in warm weather than cold.

Gee, things are bad, huh? I hadn't read about all the German droughts you are suffering. I guess I shouldn't book by river cruise next summer, then? I did see news about some floods in Poland recently. Did you get any rain then?

You know, the climate hoaxers were telling us for the last few years that the drought in California was permanent due to "climate change".
Guess what happened this year. Go ahead, guess.

Are you saying that Germany never had record high heat and draughts before the industrial revolution?

Weren't all those wars already going on before the man came into office? The only war, I know he has gotten us in, is the Media War and he seems to have them on the run.

And it is concluded that the black plague that devastated Europe in the 1300s was made much worse by the presence of the "little Ice Age" at the time - very cold.

On the whole, I would rather have heat than freezing.

My oh my. There's that superior German education on display. Just because fewer people die in warm weather doesn't mean people will succeed better than those who endure cold weather.

The treaty Trump is about to pull out of (much like his father should have, old joke) is a strictly voluntary agreement. Signatories only say they will meet certain guidelines for certain things by certain times, there are no penalties for not doing so.

And the main things signatories agree to is that certain things, such as emissions standards for automobiles, will be at lower levels. additionally, and this is most important, sustainable and non-polluting technologies will be encouraged. NOT subsidized, though that can be one way of promoting them.

The major immediate benefit of this to the signatory nations is that all their products in the burgeoning field of sustainable industries will gain instant reputation, and all they have to do is live up to standards they have set for themselves

And the major detriment to us is that we will lose yet another field of technical expertise to the rest of the world.

Basically, this is very much as if Trump would be pulling us out of the ISO because it's not based in 'MURICA.

Thank you conservatives, yet another milestone in your ongoing quest to turn us into an impoverished third world shithole, and largely for the same reason most of them are, chauvinism over practicality, arrogantly cutting off our own nose to spite our idiotic face

The sustainable industry has been a bottomless pit of FAIL (for example, California is warning residents to turn off appliance and such when the next solar eclipse occurs). Propping up sustainables with billions of bucks won't make it successful. Meanwhile frackers lead the way to energy independence for the US.

I think that's a win for the US.

I see us countering with higher tariffs on those VW's and Mercedes. I see us not buying groceries from Audi's and Lidl because the tariffs on their products will make them unaffordable.

No. Maybe you then explain how the hell your nuclear reactor popped up in 1942 if main activities on nuclear project- Manhatten project started only in 1943 in the US? Eh?

Nice rant. Unfortunately, not based in reality.

And I'm still waiting for you to quote me saying illegals in this country are on par with rapists.

We have a trade deficit with germany

They have more to lose in a trade war than America does and I don't think they will risk it
