Oddly enough "chicks" still seem to like the smell of Old Spice and Aqua Velva better than anything else - except the reassuring residual smell of Ivory, Dial or Lava soap. ;-)

Dial works for me. Ivory always did smell a bit girly - which is fine - on girl.
In the military I discovered that many men are a bit too shower shy. I concluded that women might have learned to trust the smell of soap over cologne.

I suspect a lot of Frenchmen, over the centuries, have learned to prefer the smell of soap to perfume, while American men have learned that their women are always squeaky clean even if all you can smell is several ounces of Shalimar. ;-)

dove is mostly lotion and has no cleaning abilities, dial is a chemical anti bacterial that will work and corrodes the skin, but grandpa's pine tar soap is a natural and strong anti bacterial that will not damage the skin.

we must make sure our pheromones are tuned in a healthy way, or it will doom humanity to unnatural procreation that does not serve our best interests.

I'll never forget watching a show that went to places that make stuff
like soap and shampoo.Very depressing. The huge almost small indoor
size swimming pools filled with gooey and gobly stuff and then they add
small doses of fragrance as if to cover the nasty aroma.
Of course being a Home Brewer, the same thing goes for Homemade
beer. Not a pretty sight or even smell.Looks identical to raw sewage.

I love goats milk soap but it's very pricey. Actually, I think body wash is more popular than soap now, esp for women. I prefer coconut based, so I always smell of coconuts and Aromatics. My signature fragrance. :rose::rose::rose:

Um. You mean to tell us the Fragrance never leaves yer bodice.
I dunno.I buy stuff like Laundry powers and Bounce fabric softner
and even toilet paper that has No Fragrance.
I remember this sexy { very busty } country chick who nearly begged
for a job at McDonalds when I managed. So I hired her.
Man oh boy did she ever load on the perfume.Could smell her
as she walked in past the counter.I'm talkin' like 20 feet away.
There's an art to know how to apply perfume and also how much.
Unless most kids don't remember or care to remember how their
Mommies put on perfume.Or that "Godfrey Daniels!" cold cream before
bed w/ curlers and shower cap.

I would prefer the smell of soap, if someone looks or smells like an underarm, gag city. It is not manly to stink. No amount of after shave or cologne can mask foul body odor, same goes for women, soap and water are fairly cheap, cheap enough to always be clean and odor free. I think Mitsouko smells much better than Shalimar.

Its an age old struggle, Foolie. I'll always remember the older Mexican man who sat next to me on a crowded, smelly commuter train. After a few minutes, he leaned over and whispered, "Thank you for wearing that perfume." Guess a woman's scent is in the nose of the beholder, eh? ;)

Tea tree soap is just as good. Bentley's tea tree soap is a great soap. Mistral's soap is also good especially Lychee Rose. The best everyday soap hands down is Kirk's Castile soap.
