The RNC is also moving to the right. That's what the party committees will do if they think it's a winning strategy. I also don't know that the "young" supported Sanders in any kind of meaningful numbers. He would have won if they did. The youth support of Barack Obama really helped pull him over the finish line.
The childishness, dishonesty and flat out stupidity on display so often by conservatives is astounding. It's proof they have no argument. when they make these stupid "liberals are poopyhead" posts they just tell liberals that they are right. Since they can't argue the merits of whatever is being discussed
That isn't a Jon Ossoff campaign ad. That's an ad by a special interest group. You don't understand the difference?
I understand, perhaps the voters didnt. What exactly is your claim... that the Dems DIDNT try to capitalize on Trump hate to win this special election?
My claim is the same one it was in my first post. Jon Ossoff never invoked Donald Trump in his ads or his talking points. He didn't run an anti-Trump campaign.
One comment... since inn remember unplugging my landline in October 2012 due to 5+ robocalls every day and the mountain of junk mail. 50 mil on this district alone these people must have been bombarded! I would have unplugged phone, cable, radio and removed my mailbox, it must have been horrible!
Whatever you say... "If elected, Ossoff said he would target Trump, who he called an "embarrassment and a threat to prosperity and health, justice and security." http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2017/01/05/democrat-ossoff-aims-for-congressional-seat.html
Did you even look at your link? It was from January, and it wasn't an ad. We're talking about the run off election ads.
You claim to be a moderate, but carry water for the Dems. Not sure how much clearer I can say it. Just curious, why are you so against Trump when his agenda is based on less govt in our lives? It was a direct quote from Ossoff. Denial is really your friend, huh?
Funny but they were probably reading a teleprompter at the same time or watching a screen. The democrat never realistically had a chance in Georgia. South Carolina was a bigger loss for them. Why the DCCC put 20 times the money into Georgia instead of winning back a seat they had held for 100 years is beyond me.
Hard to capitalize in an election where one party has more votes. This is covered in Civics class. Trump's unpopularity did come to light, though, given the tiny margin.
That was fracking genius because it shines a light on exactly what really goes on. And we all know it. It makes it that much easier to ignore whatever these dumb ****s have to say. The sad part is, the naive democrat voters continue to believe all the spin.
I wonder if people are coming to their senses some, and getting tired of all of the left's hate rhetoric and negativity. Maybe the shooting at the Congressional softball practice was a wake-up call to people also. The hate and obstruction doesn't help anyone. It looks like Georgia voters wanted more than "anti-Trump". You both make good points. With any luck, the Democrats will get the message and quit moving so far left. I used to feel like Democrats and Republicans were sort of a nice check and balance on each other, but the Democrats have moved so far left it's hard to take them seriously any more. Sometimes it looks like we are headed towards a one-party system (Republican) and then we would lose some of the checks and balances that came with having two strong parties. Amen. I agree entirely. A moderate Democrat? Does such a thing even exist anymore?
You mean all the people in a few counties in CA? Oh, you think the Hillary voters were spread out all over the country? Hahahaha! Have you seen voter counts by district? The sea of red? Did you compare that to 08 and 12?
This is kinda a touch of the hypocrisy that is frustrating a lot of independents and fuels the "have no message" mantra. You cannot say something for weeks and then after it happens completely change your tune, it creates a huge lack of trust. Talking about how important this race would be and that it was GOING to go Democrat for weeks, only to do a 180 after the election is over and act like it wasn't a big deal. This one really doesn't matter, sore losing is something that happens to everyone really. But I would have SO much mroe trust in the Democratic party if they would have admitted they lost and said it was a good tough election. Instead, since it has been over, I have hear nothing but excuses like yours here. Also, like to say that while CNN and MSNBC are both extremely to the left, I actually see MSNBC as more "fair and balanced" now days. CNN is the new joke to me and not worth watching
This is one of my biggest concerns as well. Since the Democrats have gone sooooo far to the left, the Republicans have recently moved to the center more and more. The last two presidents are a perfect example of this. Barrack Obama was THE FURTHER PERSON TO THE LEFT (other than Bernie Sanders who isnt a D) when you look at his voting history. Yet the media flat out lied to us and tried to say he is a moderate. Meanwhile Trump has supported both parties and even attended the Clinton wedding. Yet when he runs he is claimed to be an "extremely far rightwin nuttjob" which is absolutely not the truth. Lot of lies been going on and if you look at the Democratic parties performance since Obama was elected, the Democrats are becoming almost an endagered species. It just worries me that if the R's continue to dominate they will get too big for their britches and begin to be more partisan themselves
Trump only won the district by 1 point, so this 5 point margin would seem to suggest he is more popular in the district now. Enjoy your Participation Trophy.
