John Bonifield is a supervising producer for the CNN Medical Unit, working primarily with CNN Senior Medical Correspondent Elizabeth Cohen.

Bonifield isn't saying anything hat hasn't been said 100 times by Trump and his friends. Here is the essence of what Bonifield said.

“Like, we don’t have any giant proof. Then they say, well there’s still an investigation going on. And you’re like, yeah, I don’t know. If they were finding something, we would know about it. The way these leaks happen, they would leak it. They’d leak. If it was something really good, it would leak.”

“The leaks,” he said, “keep leaking and there’s so many great leaks, and it’s amazing. I just refuse to believe that if they had something really good like that, that [it] wouldn’t leak because we’ve been getting all these other leaks. So, I just feel like they don’t really have it but they want to keep digging. And so I think the president is probably right to say, like, look you are witch hunting me. You have no smoking gun. You have no real proof.”

So, according to Bonifield, since there are no leaks, there is no evidence of collusion between Trump's staff and the Russians. That is ludicrous and his statements totally ignore one important fact.

Up until now all the evidence, all the testimony in closed hearings, is in the hands of the Republican-led DOJ headed by staunch Trump supporter, Jeff Sessions and the Republican House Committees and the Republican Senate Committees all determined to protect the Republican President.

It's sort of like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Republicans don't want the beans being spilled and they control the beans.

All that changes now with the independent special prosecutor. A reasonable person would wait until we hear his conclusions before making any decisions.

 

The average Joe can see through CNN's BS, too. Why can't you intellectuals?

Just to recap. You made the claim that journalists are proving their liberal bias because they are so critical of Trump. I pointed out that it is not their liberalism but their intelligence that makes them so contemptible of Trump. Strictly speaking I am not a Democrat, although I am a liberal. In the the grand scheme of things, pick a technology, it has always been liberal leaning individuals who have been bringing innovations, thus improving the human condition. It has always been conservatives who try so desperately to drag us backwards. Name one idea that has come from conservatives that moved society forward.

Without liberals there would be no computers, no internet, no cell phones, no modern medicine, no clean water, no modern farming, no television, no electric lighting, no cars......

 

All manner of Republicans, in the white house and in congress, are complaining about leaks. Leaks are rampant throughout the Republican controlled government.

In the end, I'm sure, it will be revealed that, even though la Trump and company will have profited from Russian connections, Trump, through his obvious personal shortcomings, was used by Putin.

If Putin wanted to help put the most incompetent person possible in office, the last person he'd want to tell would be the incompetent boob who would just screw it up.

However the FBI investigation was into Russian interference. la Trump made it about himself. It is la Trump clown show that is getting ratings. His, and his underlings, continually changing stories make them seem less than innocent.

I don't think anyone is creating news about the investigation into Russia's interference in the US elections. It is being investigated, and apparently even President Obama knew about it last year.

 

The notion that the media is liberal is FAR from being indoctrination. It is obvious, and few inside the business even bother to dispute that notion. This has been documented both by following campaign contributions FROM the media, and in assessing the number of left positive versus right positive stories that get air time. Of course none of those analysis are required for anyone that is intellectually honest from either side, because in reality it is like saying that water is wet. Of course on balance the media is Liberal.

There is a reason that you see the right complaining of the mainstream media bias while the left does not. If partisans from one side argue that the media is fair, and partisans from the other side argue that it is not, by the nature of partisans, you cant rest assured that it is not fair. If it were truly fair, you would see both sides arguing that it is unfair. Even you have acknowledged that it is biased by trying to say that it is an intellectual rather than partisan bias. So lets drop the notion that it is not biased and that claims of bias are merely an outgrowth of indoctrination. While you are making that argument, your words show that even YOU don't believe your argument. There is no greater waste of time than debating someone that is blatantly intellectually dishonest

The network retracted and deleted a story late last week that claimed Anthony Scaramucci, who served on Trump’s transition team, was under FBI investigation for a meeting he had with a Russian executive. That story, which was based off of one unnamed congressional source, was false.

The reason Republican voters complain about the media is because that is the way cults work. Only they know the truth and everyone else is wrong. How else are they going to get you to believe all the silliness conservatives believe. Of course journalist are liberals. They are educated individuals exploring empirical evidence.
