The increased particles hitting the earth due to magnetic changes and solar flares from the sun are believed to cause more cloud formation. If that is the case, I am not sure why it wouldn't make the cooling effects even greater than previous due to the fact that less light will be absorbed by the earth and turned into long wave radiation which then is absorbed by CO2 assuming the recent warming is largely due to CO2.
I'm so glad you posted this. I get caught up in some conversations and forget to remind people we're in an interstadial in the middle of an Ice Age 3M years in the making. We're lucky if we hold back a stadial period. Much better to be a bit warm than in the stadial. This planet isn't going to support 6B people if the ice advances.
It would reflect more energy away but the cloud cover would trap more heat and CO2. I'm not certain the effect but it appears to create more cooling. Ice reflects more energy than clouds but clouds do reflect. CO2 levels are high but they've been higher without this much cooling although I'm convinced gases are creating a lot of the problem. Between the onset of another stadial, cooling of the sun yada, and all the rest it is difficult to be as predictive as some think.....at least that's my non-climatologist opinion FWIW (not a lot).
There's plenty of data there that is good particularly the eruptions. The temps aren't changing either coming from cores. You're looking for excuses and failing. The data doesn't disprove your sacred cow anyway.
Over here in the madhouse it's getting cooler already. For example it was cooler yesterday than it was 3 weeks ago.** ** winter drawers on?
"They" say YOU don't understand the difference between Climate and Weather. I say "Climate Change Happens. Just like the weather.". We just need to ignite a few volcanoes to cool us down or mimic what our Earth does, when times get too hot. Can we do it without nucs? I really like this chart because I like history. And the associations of temperature and recorded history are fascinating to me. And the association of volcanic activities and cool downs is also striking. I printed a copy for my refrigerator door and often take a moment to look at one area of the fine print. When was the last time the Delaware River froze ala Washington crossing the Delaware? Or the canals of Amsterdam freezing enough for skating? Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates. Global Warming advocates, please chime in. Would you rather live in a period of glaciation? Third weakest solar minimum since 1755. It is expected to hit minimum around 2020. For whatever reason, the earth takes 10-15 years to respond to changes in solar activity. No one is sure why. One thing that is hypothesized and has now been proven in a science experiment is that lower activity allows more cosmic rays to penetrate the atmosphere and that cosmic rays influence the creation of clouds which increase albedo causing cooling.
