The why didn't you do anything? I don't remember you saying anything about Trump; 'years' ago. Only now when the leftist cottage industry is 'hate 'Trump' fueled do you suddenly find your relative morality. Give me a break.

I was like, c'mon, at least talk about sports or movies every once in a while. There were plenty more posters following his lead, although not with his zeal.

No one in this thread said that. I certainly didn't. I have objections to Trump myself, which is why I didn't vote for him. I just don't hate him.

Don't know whom you are citing, but I never claimed "highest" anything. I didn't even vote for Trump, nor did I even compliment him in the OP, I don't think.

And "all this" that's "going on" is really nothing but smoke to this point, over-dramatized by a hungry, bitter media competing for ad dollars from Big pharma and GEICO. There may be fire under the smoke. of course.

But it may also be -- and I think this more likely than "treason" -- that Trump is a political neophyte, and a naif, not a traitor, in the face of Russian intrigue. His son seems even more wet behind the ears, politically speaking.

I just can't bring myself to fear or loathe Trump, and I do not understand those who do.

Well, I said I might be wrong and it was a judgment call. Perhaps you should look up the psychiatric meaning of the word before you pull out your moral indignations and wave it around. People make judgment calls all the time. At least I'm decent enough to acknowledge I'm making one.

With everything going on, with even GOP Senators now turning on Trump, while Trump makes it clear that he thinks Jeff Sessions is his personal lawyer, with 3 congressional bipartisan investigations in a R controlled Congress, and a highly respected special prosecutor being threatened, you go right ahead with your Alice in Wonderland journey.

And the pathology of Trumpers is no mystery. We've seen it before with many dictators and despots, and their rise to power.

 

Also an independent, not a member of the "left," but I dislike him ("hate" is kind of overkill) because

• he falls for conspiracy theories
• he promotes conspiracy theories
• ironically, he complains when conspiracies about him pop up (he's a hypocrite)
• he lacks integrity (you can read about that in his own book if the last couple years weren't enough to convince you)
• he lacks intelligence (he speaks at the level of a middle-schooler)
• he expresses no interest in having civil, reasonable discourse or debate
• he exhibits a remarkably poor understanding of how the U.S. government works, as if he's never had a civics class
• he exhibits a remarkably poor understanding of economics
• he does not know how to make America great or what made America great in the first place

There's more, but these are the most obvious.

 

You're entitled to your opinion. There are Rino's in Congress who don't want anything changed esp 'draining the swamp'. They will oppose Trump quietly and are doing so. Many in America want them gone or to at least change.

Sessions should never have recused himself. He hurt his boss esp by not discussing it with him first. I'd have fired him for it. It appears he is either going to play ball or get fired. Too bad if the latter as I like the guy even though I don't agree with all.

There should never have been a Special Counsel. What a crock of crap. And there is no Republican on his team but just Dems and donors and supporters of HRC and the like. And now he wants to investigate Donald's business. Fire his azz. The FBI is capable of investigating although after all this time there is nothing. There is no crime to investigate. Nothing but 24 hr nonstop BS. And keep in mind I don't like Trump personally. He is the President though and this is my country. It's in a mess. Let the man have his chance.
