and yet strangely nobody seems to be able actually name the agency that said it was not the Russians. In fact nobody seems to be able to name the intelligence agency that has not said it was the Russians.

Just one minor correction. They will eat their own if one falls out of line and doesn't tow the party line.

My stepdaughter woke up fairly young. When she got her first real paycheck and was shocked at all the taxes taken out I told her "how do you think they pay for all those programs you're in favor of?".

And after all of that, it still doesn't answer the "and now what?", but thanks for trying.

Yes, I read the piece in The Nation. Let me know when the investigation is cancelled because of it and when others have concurred with the findings in it. So far, nothing.

A horse can't run 100 mph. This is a known fact because no horse has ever run 100 mph. Your attempt to make that equal to opinions isn't working.

These are just opinions. And while they may be correct (I don't know and I really don't care), my question still stands. And? Now what? Presumably you want something to happen here. What is it, and what's happened so far? Who is "Forensicator"? And which other media outlets have picked up the story and said it's correct? I don't remember Fox News doing that - can you link it?

I do not need a government weatherman to tell me which way the wind blows, and I believe government whistleblowers way more than I believe those still working for the government. Sorry, it's a lesson learned from too many years on this planet. The Pentagon Papers had a profound effect on my knowledge of government behavior.

Binney, Weibe, Loomis, McGovern and others have far more credibility with me than do Pelley, Williams, Clinton or any of the other domestic enemies.

so now you have to prove that amount of data is possible to upload in that amount of time across the Atlantic and if you cant prove that then what those experts say isn't an opinion but a fact

I don't have to prove anything. WTF are you talking about? I'm not Bob Mueller. And no, failure on the part of a message board poster to not be able to "prove" something none of us know doesn't make someone else's opinion a fact. It doesn't work that way.

your the one claiming what these experts have said is an opinion not a fact so it is up to you to prove it is an opinion by proving it is possible to upload that much data in that short amount of time across the Atlantic

that is how science works if you depute a claim it is up to you to discredit that claim

Because that's all it is - opinion. You need some other people to prove their opinion is fact if that's what you're looking to accomplish. So far this hasn't been picked up even by Fox News as an "end the investigation" proof positive piece.

Let me know when Mueller cancels the investigation. To the best of my knowledge, he hasn't. So this is going nowhere for right now.

It was 2016, If they had professional IT people managing their network, then they had or should have had network monitors that detect large fast transfers of data and shut down the network to the outside (WAN) automatically. Ours does, but since folks were using thumb drives instead. So now there's software on all machines that automatically encrypt all removable media, so if you need a thumb drive for work you can only use it on work machines.

no you need people to prove it isn't a fact by showing it is possible what these experts say is impossible and no one has done so so it remains a fact

People on a message board need to do Bob Mueller's work? Good grief. Now I know you're just trolling.

It's not Mueller's work. The knucklehead assistant Director of the FBI unwittingly (or not) didn't broaden the scope to investigate the DNC's claims. It's yet another "nothing to see here, move along" moment.
You keep arguing a point that the infrastructure needed to pull off a hack of that much data is in fact not in place. Experts have come forward and claimed it's physically impossible to hack that quantity of data across the Atlantic with current internet speeds. The premise of that if it was indeed Russians, they were doing within our borders or stolen internally. That's not where the "alleged" bread crumbs lead.

I don't even begin to pretend that I know enough to validate that, but too many former intelligence people as well as software experts have come forward to reject the DNC hacked theory. When the DNC decided to not have either the FBI or CIA examine the server, you need to take a step back and ask why.

They are not whistleblowers. They are not with any government agency.

Definition of 'Whistleblower' - The Economic Times
    Indiatimes.com › economictimes
Definition: A whistleblower is a person, who could be an employee of a company, or a government agency, disclosing information to the public or some higher authority about any wrongdoing, which could be in the form ...

I think it is probably pretty obvious why any political organization would not open all there records to scrutiny by an outside agency.

In that case their claims cannot be justified.
