Its not Congresses responsibility to fund the construction of his wall on the border, its the Mexican government who will be paying for it. Isnt that correct?
There is nothing our congress needs to do.

Well, through ignorance, a quick-easybake fix for health care, for one.

I guess my personal #2, would be a well running government, that will do so through his spectacular deal-making skills.

There might be more, but ..... Are they needed?

How does he plan to get any legislation through Congress after tearing into McCain, McConnell and Flake.

    Blind Partisanship, & Extortion perhaps.

In the Business World, it's Brand-Warfare.

    Pepsi v. Coke

    Ford v. Chevy

    You get the picture.

    Simple.

Just cut off the $200 million in foreign aid to Mexico to get some startup funds.

Then tax remittances to Mexico at 20%+. That's 14 Billion dollars a year.

    http://www.npr.org/sections/goatsan...the-u-s-are-sending-home-more-money-than-ever

    Problem solved.

The point here, the problem here, is why the President is asking for money from our Congress. He should be getting it from mexico.
    Agreed?

Yeah, I'm one of those, "Let's see what happens" types.

I'll throw a few suspicions, some speculations, & maybe a few suggestions out there, then kinda sit back a bit, & try to guess where it's all going.

Probably the weed though. Not sure.

EDIT: I like to try to hold a bit back.... Sprinkle bits in here & there.

Yeah, looking more like the weed.

    No, not at all.

The construction will clearly take some time, and things have to be done to get the mechanisms in place to force Mexico to pay for the wall.

Clearly if Mexico is being taxed 14 billion a year on remittances, they are paying for it.

He's not asking for the full amount to pay for the wall. Just enough to get started. I think it was around 10%.

Mexico is not being taxed and never will. Trump cannot start the wall until Mexico sends us money. Our congress has nothing to do with this, and yet he is threatening to shut down our government over it.

A good rule of thumb, especially where taxes go, never say never.

Trump has no reason to expect our Congress to come up with money that should be coming from the Mexican government.

When they're using our country to make billions on drugs, forcing us to pay billions on taking care of their citizens, and taking our jobs to send the money to mexico....who's being extorted?

    Nonono!

I was agreeing, no doubt extortion is committed ... Both sides... I just use those types of terms, as opposed to "cleaner" words like taxes and the like!

The drug cartel are making billions on drugs only because of demand from Americans. Its all about the American drug habit, demand and supply.

Does Congress have a good reason to spend 100 billion plus of our tax money already on supporting illegal aliens?

We could build ten walls with the money we spend every year already.

Sounds like we need a wall or something.

Are we also demanding to spend 100 billion taking care of mexican citizens every year?

Would you document for us just what this 100 billion + is for and where it comes from?
