When they enjoyed things done by Obama, seems reasonable to me they would also enjoy things of the same nature done by Trump. Obama had an amazing run of pardons.

Arpaio was a criminal. He got pardoned. Now he is not.Duhhh!

I go by objective reality. He still broke the law. "As if he had never committed an offense" is not the same thing as "never committed an offense.

 

A sheriff is also bound by the law as written. I don't think the broad judges order to cease and desist enforcing constitutional law was legally sustainable. The judge found fault with the process used, not the law, so I'm uncomfortable with the judge's overreach in compelling a law not be enforced.

 

And the far right assault on objective reality continues. When reality does not comply to your agenda, just pretend reality doesn't exist! Easy peasy!

I am not a fan of pardons, but I am not suprised by this at all.

It is even the same type of laws that the Democrats ignored and were never prosecuted for making it even closer to the exact same thing, involving immigration.

Cities all over the country have ignored the laws about immigration, you can expect this to be reciprocated now back at ya and any time you wine about it you will get called out over and over and over. I just hope you guys get your ish together before the next election, you could win this so easily but instead you are pushing further and furtehr Left and isolating even more Independents

It was not giving an excuse. He contrasted who he pardoned with those Democrat Presidents pardon. Every person can decide then which is the correct perspective on pardons.

Democrat presidents pardon traitors, murderers, terrorists, and drug dealers.

Republican Trump pardoned a military veteran and 50 career law enforcement officer never convicted of so much as a parking ticket, but rather only a court contempt charge by a Clinton appointee who denied the Sheriff a jury. To this day, the sheriff has NEVER been convicted of ANY criminal offense. Rather, a Clinton appointee thug judge was running a political agenda using the Sheriff, nothing else.

Louise rents office space from me and I sometimes bring her up. I had asked her in early 2016 who she had ideas she would support. She says Donald Trump. I gazed at her sweetly and encouraged her to vote for Scott Walker. Scott has grit and experience I says. We all saw him go down to the flames of Trump. I then moved to Kasich. Listening to him more recently on news talk shows, I am happy he lost. I had no idea he sided so much with Democrats. His state overrode his veto's but he wants me to use him as a wise man? But yeah, they delivered barbs on Bush and even Reagan as often as the names came up.

I quit the democratic party in order to vote for Reagan. The best of all presidents this nation ever had and I voted for him twice.

 

Both parties are a joke, they don't want what is best for the country they want what is best for themselves.

I was 'kinda' excited about Trump in the very beginning just because of how different he was. I have always wanted an amazing business person to run and no the country would be in such better hands than a politician.

However, Trump has proven to be more a politician than I would like. I do enjoy that he is a moderate in most areas, but he wastes so much political capital that he is a waste of a president IMO

edit - But yes I agree, Trump was better than any of the politicians on either party, not by much but better. If I was forced with a gun to my head to vote C or T, I would have gone with Trump, but I wouldn't have liked it. I still feel that way now, the choices we had for president in 2016 were an absolute shame.
