The whole BLM movement, and the silly cartoon posted in the OP, is a perfect example of how many leftists allow their political opinions be shaped by emotions and slogans rather than logic or forethought.

We saw this firsthand with their "Hands up, don't shoot myth," where liberals/progressives/socialists embraced the lie that Michael Brown was shot while trying to surrender; what actually occurred, of course, was Brown was killed attacking the officer and trying to take his firearm away.

But this doesn't stop many ignorant leftists from still believing the myth. This is a result of the echo chamber many leftists live in, where they remain ignorant and lack the knowledge that a more diverse lifestyle would allow.

Statistics charting deaths of people by police prove that the entire BLM movement is simply a scam, an ill-informed cause that is remarkable for its supporters lack of logic, statistics and facts.

But like simplistic bumper stickers and the slogans that liberals/progressives/socialists love to chant while marching, it is meaningless...

No, Bernie Sanders never said that and no BLM members "almost destroyed his candidacy". That was Martin O'Malley who said it.

You mean they are not race obsessed and don't participate in identity politics?

The pictures are not "stupid" as they prove the OP's point quite effectively. Never heard the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words? Obviously not...

I wonder if they make a cartoon for that? Might come in handy since I felt a large disconnect starting at post #1

a picture is worth a thousand words. However, its seems when confrtonted with such information rich communication of a point that the intended audience rarely if EVERY considered that intended audience more often than not reacts in indignant deflection.

    Text book example it seems.

Pointing out extreme partisan hypocrisy is always useful. OTOH, when such over the top bumperstickers become the defacto image of everyone on the "other side" any meaningful political dialogue is impossible.

With such "ease of use" too many on either side have succumbed to the allure of the emotional and intellectual comfort they afford with no effort required.

What the left should consider is how to act with self respect and civility in discussing things they don't agree with, instead of denigrating their own credibility by using slander instead of facts. If you removed their ability to create slander, they wouldn't be tongue-tied.

I see a story yesterday where a woman who is a spokesperson for the NRA has been getting harassed, being told they would shoot her in her yard if she came out of the house, being told she would be raped to death. That is the level of reason we see among so many on the left/liberal/progressives side- the very things they protest are actually their common tools. Labeling all conservatives haters so they can hate them. If it weren't so destructive to the nation's welfare, to our national pride, it would be funny- three-stooges style. But it's not funny, it's pathetic, like these childish cartoons. .

Liberals believe that only their world view is virtuous so anything counter is either due to stupidity or just evil. They act accordingly.

Agreed. Liberals will make excuses for the most repressive, racist, sexist, and intolerant nations on earth (Muslim ones) by saying, "That's their culture," but call conservatives trying to preserve Western culture repressive, racist, sexist, and intolerant. Someone else used this line, but I like it: If it weren't for double standards, liberals would have no standards at all.

Actually, BLM is an AstroTurf group. In other words, it was created and designed to re-inspire blacks to get out and vote again like they did in 2008, presumably for dems.

It may even backfire on the "creators" since BLM recently chanted at an ACLU event on free speech that ‘Liberalism Is White Supremacy’.

Anyone who supports Black Lives Matter, is a racist hypocrite and a lover of Black Supremacy. The Black Lives Matter movement calls for total Black control of their own. They are intolerant of any other race being in charge of their affairs other than fellow Blacks.

    https://policy.m4bl.org/platform/

Let's see you defend the above racism.

Didn't read thread. OP's cartoon/meme is an excellent example of the drubbing the LW is taking in the meme wars. At some point in rotting their minds with identity politics they lost the ability to be funny.

The big problem I have with the whole "Black Lives Matter/All Lives Matter" debate is that neither side actually gives a flying **** about the intent of the speaker. They universally ascribe meaning to their speech which they had not intended, to win "points".

Breast cancer is a significant issue and I've been a donor in the past. Yet when I had an operation on my urethra I discovered that there are 16000 deaths from prostate cancer per year in Australia, only 1000 less than the deaths from breast cancer (which includes both genders, by the way). Advocacy against breast cancer is orders of magnitude more common than advocacy against prostate cancer. I'd like to see that change through more movements against men's disease. I think we can be a little too proud to speak out, and that's a real tragedy.

No does mean no. Unfortunately, we're seeing a totalitarian, anti-choice movement to switch this to 'yes means yes' for every escalation of sexual activity. I support no means no, not bureaucracy in the bedroom, I thought that was what the women's rights movement was about: being able to determine and consent for yourself without BS red tape.
