You're assuming they ever were funny. While plenty of comedians are/were liberals, liberals as a group are a singularly unfunny lot.

 

We sure as hell can't improve it by importing people from racist, sexist, and religiously intolerant nations, which we are doing by the millions.

 

I grew up on National Lampoon, original SNL and Monty Python, all leftish, but far more evenhanded, smarter and yes very funny. I can't even link some of the funniest NatLamp stuff from the 70s and 80s today due to P.C. They parodied everything and everyone.

 

Those are the very people who understand what is at stake.

It makes no sense to assume that those leaving those countries are the same as those in power. And, that is especially true for refugees.

A wise observation. Unfortunately, most of the liberal set is younger and so much smarter than those who have been where they are, and been where they are going. No need for them to listen- they already know everything.

 

Leftist seem to have a problem with target identification. If Black lives matter, why are cops: who are trying to stop the internecine gang violence in the hood that kills around fifty times as many African Americans as cops do: the primary targets rather than the gangs that are doing almost all the killing?

 

Good question. Seems it's harder to look at themselves and accept responsibility than it is to find a way to blame others.
I don't find conservatives thinking they are all that matters either, by any means- but they are reliably critical of those who think that their problems are always somebody else's fault and want the world to adjust to them individually. We have numerous terms for that, but none of them are very complimentary.

 

More blacks are killed by....BLACKS. More Muslims are killed by....MUSLIMS. But the white non-Muslims get the blame.

 

Do those worthless thugs include Akai Gurley, Robbie Tolan and Charles Kinsey?

Creating a straw man and a false dichotomy is not an argument for much. Blacks are protesting because the are targeted, profiled and harassed by the Police on a regular basis. The fact that blacks kill each other more often than Police kill blacks has nothing to do with the issue. dum dum daaaaa !

 

Obviously black lives only matter if white cops kill them. But I don't blame these black lives activists for not marching in the ghettos of chicago with their signs. They might get robbed and killed by other black life.

I guess if they kill one another, that is not to be noticed. I sure do not hear them talk about that killing which is so much higher, with even kids being killed. So they are not concerned with any black life unless a cop, a white cop, kills one of them. They need to preach to their own people if they want to make america think, that black lives matter. They would get much more support if they did that.

 

Define kid. KId is not an 16 year old wit an 8 year criminal history carrying a gun and it certainly isn't a 20 something man mountain with a history of violence trying to beat a cop to death. And neither is innocent. The closest I know of is the sad case of Tamir Rice. Painted his toy gun to look like a real one threatened passers by and the responding cops never got the word that the gun might be fake. And yeah it's sad as hell. But it is equally rare. The question sir since you refuse to understand it is simply this: Why spend all your time on something so rare that it is little more than a statistical anomaly while doing nothing about the far larger problem.

 

But it does. It is black criminals being targeted, when you go to the downs in the name of protecting the people doing the crime you aren't solving the problem.you are making it worse.

 

You're trying to lump all blacks together and suggest that "they" cause the problem. Does that really make sense to you?

Are you aware that these communities have law abiding citizens in them?

Are you aware that they DO want better policing?

 

I'd like you to make that argument for me. Not that I doubt its existence, but I still want to recognize its innate objectivity, and you seem to be familiar...

 

This goes well beyond finding two cases where you believe the police officer is innocent - especially when you skip the rest.

More importantly, this issue isn't restricted to cases of death. When the population does not trust the police, policing will fail. And, these communities want and deserved successful policing.

The failure of policing IS the issue. The deaths of far too many innocent kids is a symptom.

 

I'm sure you know that BLM is not proposing to protect those doing crime.

 

We've already been down that road. Of course there are bad shootings. The problem with you and your fellow travelers is that you are only so happy to lump them in with the justified ones - which not only weakens your position, but is an insult to the people you posted above you are pretending to care about. The ratio of African Americans killed by police to African Americans killed by other African Americans is so infintesimally small as to be statistically insignificant. Without using Google, you cold not name three African Americans who were murdered by people who look just like them just this week in Chicago alone. But you and your cadre of race baiters have all the martyrs at the tip of your tongue so can perpetuate the bogus narrative of rampant racism in policing. Why do you do this? Rhetorical question. Because victimhood is power. Once you lose your special victim status you'll actually have to do things like pull up your pants, use proper pronouns, stay in school, and stop gang banging. Until then, you and your fellow viciticrats get to remain as glib and cynical as you wish and continue felling superior to everyone else who have not been "enlightened" by your cause.

 

I should remind you that I am not the subject of this thread. It is a stupid cartoon because it perpetuates a false narrative... one the even gets people killed. Congratulations.
