Bull crap. The premise was not Trump collusion with Russia. The premise was always related to Russia's influence on the 2016 presidential election and anyone who helped or enabled it. The fact is nearly all Trump supporters are worried it will implicate their Dear Leader because he's such a scumbag to the core. But even if it doesn't, that was never the main purpose of this investigation.

    Re: Manafort

The two men met nearly three decades ago when Mr. Gates was an intern at Black, Manafort, Stone, Kelly, a high-powered Washington consulting firm.

The firm specialized in running Republican campaigns and then lobbying the politicians they had helped elect. In Washington, Mr. Manafort worked to smooth the rough edges of various dictators and strongmen, among them Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines and Mobutu Sese Seko of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Trump Organization was also a client, employing the firm to lobby the Treasury Department on casino transaction rules and to guide Mr. Trump’s ill-fated New York-Washington airline venture.

No, the indictment is perfectly legitimate. It's what it's NOT for, that is absolutely telling. I'd love to summon Mueller to Congress and ask the simple question: "Is something there, there? Feel free to continue investigating crimes, as a prosecutor should but you won't get US taxpayer dollars to do it."

    From the indictment.

    1. Defendents Paul J. Manafort, Jr. (MANAFORT) and Richard W. Gates III (GATES) served for years as political consultants and lobbyists. Between at least 2006 and 2015, MANAFORT and GATES acted as unregistered agents of the Government of Ukraine, the Party of Regions (a Ukrainian political party whose leader Victor Yanukovych was President from 2010 to 2014), Yanukovych, and the Opposition Bloc (a successor to the Party of Regions that formed in 2014 when Yanukovich fled to Russia). MANAFORT and GATES geneated tens of millions of dollars in income as a result of their Ukraine work. In order to hide Ukraine payments from United States authorities, from approximately 2006 through at least 2016, MANAFORT and GATES laundered the money through scores of United States and foreign corporations, partnerships and bank accounts.

And this has what to so with the campaign and Russian collusion.
Look I'm all ears and if Manfort violated the law in his BUSINESS dealings he should face appropriate legal sanctions which would probably be a big fine and any taxes due. But this investigation is supposed to be about Russian collusion in the election and there is no tie here with that that is being reported.

So, what was the main purpose? To destroy the WH? To make an absolute mockery of the Worst Congress in the history of the Republic? Make no mistake Atsa: The absurd charges were EVERYTHING to do with this mess. Additionally, we were told HOW DARE Trump fire that stooge of an FBI Director. Where has that gone? If he can't, or won't give any vital red meat for the importance of this utter farce, the US Congress should at the very least withhold funding, and save the US taxpayers some dollars.

It has nothing to do with the election....

So far, the election stuff is still just a nothing burger.

I know y’all are playing it off as if this has to do with the election, but it doesn’t, just like whitewater/lewinsky.
