Interesting, news is breaking by the minute and my previous comment stands.

"If he committed a crime he should be held accountable but this just goes to show Manafort has nothing on Trump and is desperately attempting to find someone to indict for something and shows this whole investigation is just a witch hunt".

The campaign manager was still actively funneling money for a pro-russian organization based in Ukraine at the same time (or immediately before) as when he was the campaign manager for Trump.

It really does not take a wild imagination to think that there could be some aspect of his illegal operations that may have had some influence on his work as campaign manager.

You can read the indictment yourself
    https://www.justice.gov/file/1007271/download

Which counts involve the Trump campaign? I just read it and no mention of Teump or the campaign or collusion?

A strategy of Trump trying to distance himself from his campaign manager is a good one, but very difficult to sell.

Mueller's diligent work as Trump Justice Department Special Counsel is showing results at a very bad time for Trump.

What is "chew on this" supposed to mean?

    I've read the same reports.

So at this point it's clear the team is just making stuff up about the scope of the indictment and the connection to the Trump Administration.

I wouldn't expect anything else from the alt-left noise machine.

Once the details of the indictment are known, people can step back from the land of make believe and comment on the facts.

For acting as a foreign agent and money laundering... the little tiny light bulb hasn't clicked on in their heads that there are several other Trump associates who probably engaged in the same activities.

    Just for comparison purposes:
Ken Starr hired in August of 1994 to investigate Whitewater
Monica Lewinsky hired as an intern in July 1995
Starr report released in September 1998

So all of the comments of "this is costing too much", "there is nothing there there" and "manafort's actions were 3 years before the election" rate very highly on the ironic meter.

Personally, I'm going to wait for us to have actual information before weighing in on compllete speculation

Interesting. Even though I assume you have ZERO access to ANYTHING in ANY of the investigations (other than what has been publicized)...you state, matter-of-factly, that it is ALL a witch hunt.

You know, if you want to sound remotely reasonable, I suggest you not speak in final terms about something you have ZERO first hand knowledge of.

Once again, I have zero political loyalties...I don't trust or allow politicians to influence my thinking.
    You should try it sometime.

Not so much as even a single line deals with 'Russia'. Again, good on Mueller for somewhat doing his job but this isn't what we asked him to do; We asked him, specifically to investigate a so-called Russian Conspiracy. And since Manafort's been indicted and there's nothing even close to being there about Ruskie, who else is he going to turn to? Manafort was his big fish, and this is all he's got?

    Be patient.

In the meantime, tell us why Trump hires people who launder money to run his campaign.

    I would like to know.

This is like ordering out a medium steak, and it's cooked raw and people are saying "well, it's still steak." No, I ordered a medium and I demand a medium. No ands, ifs or buts. The US Government should not fund Mueller's judicial career.

The best that I have, based on a very cursory and rapid glance over this document, is that he was the campaign manager for Trump when he made several misleading and told outright lies, in regards to his connection with a pro-russian group, based out of Ukraine.

But again, it is still way too early.

Just did. And to add, I'm not the one inventing connections that have just been shown don't exist, so perhaps your game should be dialed back a bit.

So it seems I was exactly on point. I read nothing connecting anything mentioned in the indictment that involves the Trump Administration.

The entire indictment is based on tax evasion/failure to disclose/money laundering/wire fraud. Nothing that connects to the Trump Administration.

Anything from the huddle as to how the team is going to spin this, other than the already entertaining effort to invent one?

Independent investigation into complex issues involving lots of powerful people take time. This indictment has occurred on an extremely rapid scale probably because it is low hanging fruit and easy to establish.

Well yes it does there is no mention of Trump or the campaign and his role in the campaign came at the tail end of the indicment charges. Show me the tie in.

    Just read it.

    Thanks.

Could you point to the counts that involve Manafort/Gates work with the Trump Administration?

That's really brilliant of you, maybe it's because this is a Paul Manafort Indictment.
