I believe that most players, white and black, kneeled after Trump did his thing. He should have stayed out of it, and his analysis was incorrect. They were not disrespecting the flag. He was just playing to his base, and they ate it for lunch.

The stuff that happened after trump commented was a jab at trump.

I’m sorry, but yes the were. That is how I take Kaepernicks own words on the subject. And considering the shirt he was wearing at the time he made his statement..... he’s an idiot that doesn’t see irony when he’s wearing it.

I’m not boycotting the NFL. I spend as much money as I did before on it. This stuff hasn’t stopped me from watching at all, but I definitely am not tuning into football for political messages. I’m tuning in to watch my team win.

I agree with you, and I believe that parents are starting to pay attention also. Frankly, Le Cross is just as dangerous as football.
Soccer is probably the best of the worst. Sports are necessary though. Football brings huge money to the colleges, and my guess is that scholarships for academics would take a hit without this money infusion. It also keeps kids off the streets. Music isn't going to do the trick. You will have to do better than star trek reruns for me.I never saw any of the series and have no interest. How about more tennis tournaments instead?

No they weren't. They were supporting Kaepernick's right to kneel and to end bigotry as it is. Kaepernick is not my kind of guy, for sure.

Can I have the pick of the litter? Maybe I can find one with some meat inside the shell.

Yes! Please! Take as many as you want. Take them all if you like, I'm not worried. My wife is not Swedish. I made certain of that! I have to warn you ..... Swedish women are the laziest females on the earth. Not even good in the boudoir. But if good looks is important then maybe you'll be satisfied. Be my guest: :handshake:

Agree! People (including me) were already getting sick of the NFL's new rules, frequent LONG commercial breaks for no good reason, promos for network programs that have nothing to do with football, and official play-reviews that seemed to go on as long as the negotiations to end the Vietnam War.... :sleepy:

So then on top of that we get a bunch of jive-ass clowns staging fraudulent, BLM propaganda and 'guerrilla theater' at the beginning of the games, too. OUT! I'm OUT! Even before the Denver Broncos started stinking to high heaven this season, I was OUT!

Suggestion: want to watch a fast-paced game involving real skill, great strength, lightning-fast reflexes, and mental skill? NHL Ice Hockey is just the thing! And, it goes real well with pizza, with no jive-ass politics involved!

Talk about growing popularity? How about the NHL for gaining new fans throughout the United States...
Note: My team, the Colorado Avalanche started out as 'the Quebec Nordiques', but moved to Denver in 1996, and won the Stanley Cup! There's probably a very good NHL team near you!

I only checked last night to see if there were in in my area in NJ. There are 3, which surprised me because I’d never seen one in my area and always thought there were none because they couldn’t compete with the local pizzerias, you know, where you can get real pizza.

Their reviews are terrible, but I’ve noticed a while ago when traveling through some of the red states that some just don’t have the same diverse restaurant selections that are available in NY/NJ. All they have are chains outside the cities. You want Italian? You go to Olive Garden. You want steak? You go to Outback. You want pizza? You go to Papa John’s, or Pizza Hut, or Dominoes.

Papa John’s has almost certainly relied on the fact that even crappy pizza is good enough if that’s all you got. Oh, and also the immense popularity of the NFL.

This shouldn’t be a surprise. The heartland isn’t for this. And I know we are flyover states and I didn’t have problems with the kneeling, I knew a lot of black and whites who were against it. As far cops and black interactions. It’s better than it once was. Now I think it would be better for more balck cops to be in the black community. And for cops to realize that they are dealing with thugs daily. But I recant my statements about all cops are evil. I’ve felt the taser where they rightfully could of shot me.

Liberal snowflakes? It’s these “Sunday Afternoon Patriot” conservatives crying that their arena-sized safe spaces have been taken from them that started all this nonsense.

    :tears:“We won’t watch if you don’t stand.”:tears:

Who gives a ****? Good. Leave.

With the excellent pizza a person can get in NJ I'm surprised there are any pizza franchises at all in that area, especially something as horrible as Papa Johns. I remember when I first moved to El Paso, a border city with a huge Mexican population, and saw Del Taco and Taco Bell joints. It didn't make any sense.

I was thinking that maybe transplants to NJ might like franchise pizza but who transplants to Paterson? Clifton, if I recall, wasn't so bad. Did it change?

It used to be decent, and there still are nice areas, but it’s sandwiched between Paterson and Passaic, and on top of that, the local schools started taking a major fall over last few years.

Rutz Hut is still there, hanging precariously over Rt 20. I love eating a hot dog standing by the fence over the highway. You ever been there?

I apologize. That first comment was uncalled for. I can sometimes get a little carried away.

Please, tell me, what exactly are they standing against?

Never been there. Spent most of my younger life in Bergen County, Fort Lee to be exact. There is nothing better than NJ food.
