Do you post just to put random words in the forum? Clearly you don't read the posts. How much are you paid per post?
There are 300 million guns in the US. The "they are coming for our guns" nonsense is just that. Paranoid nonsense
Not to the NYT, LA Times, Boston Globe - and those are the propaganda mouthpieces from which you get your marching orders.
Really - is anyone surprised? Every single gun control measure they seek involves placing further limits on the rights of the law abiding -- how do we NOT conclude they seek to lay as many restrictions as they can?
Not nonsense at all. Many are calling for an AWB. New York Times is calling for repealing the 2A. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/05/opinion/guns-second-amendment-nra.html
Gun banners' rhetoric usually always supplement "common sense gun regulation" with "for the children" to heighten the emotion appeal.
Yes. Always "for the children". They typically include a big steaming cup of "nobody wants to take your guns", just to try to help the marxism go down smoothly, though.
As I said before, the 2A is the biggest mine in the Constitutional mine field for the marxist progressive elite in DC who seek to destroy it. They know, if they tread upon it, it will blow their legs off and they will go home from the war early, with ringing ears, wondering what the hell just happened. The Constitution stands between them and their ideology.... exactly as it was designed to do. They will continue to attack it, and they will continue to be unsuccessful.
Actually, believe it or not, I can respect the NYT's position on this as being more intellectually honest than I've seen from previous gun control demands. At least they're willing to acknowledge some of the fallacies of the gun control argument, and they acknowledge that a repeal of the 2nd Amendment is the only way to achieve what they want. I'll fight 'em tooth and nail to prevent their agenda from becoming reality, but I can at least respect their position.
None of which changes the fact that they are calling for confiscation of privately, legally owned firearms.
Those who claim the second amendment only applies to muskets can claim the same thing. However it means nothing.
1) Per the constitution for the united states of America, there is no power granted to the general government to restrict the acquisition, possession, or use of firearms by the people of the several states. 2) It would seem reasonable for the general citizenry to be permitted to use the same firearms as are being used by our civilian police departments.
