I'm simply tired of this racist BS period. I've never even given a thought to the race of a person owning a business I'm patronizing. I care about things like product quality, service, perhaps the location, but not the race of the business owner. Not to mention, a business may be owned by a white man, but may provide employment for people of all races and genders, so how does the BLM come to terms with that fact, when they encourage people to boycott white-owned businesses? Are the black employees simply collateral damage?

Like I've said before, BLM is just the flip side of the KKK coin. There should be no room in America for either hate group. This was not what MLK had in mind when he spoke of people being judged not by the color of their skin.

 

You know, it SHOULD come as a surprise that a college professor organized this, but in today's post 8 year debacle and failure of the first black president, I'm not the least bit surprised. I'm thoroughly enjoying their idiocy. And it'll make shopping for white people and the good black people and white business owners a lot more pleasant.

I feel sorry for the black kids who have parents invested in this. You spend half the day making your Christmas list only to find out your mom donated to a black organization in your names instead. The professor with this bright idea (no pun intended) must be from Sub Saharan Africa because her IQ can't possibly be over 58, which is average for Africans.

Yes, I have a big problem with racism, especially when it's this blatant and coming from the same group of people pointing their fingers at others and calling them the racists.

As far as calling for blacks to shop at black only stores or donating to black organizations in the name of black loved ones for their gift, however, I find unbelievably comical. Anyone in my region will have to limit their shopping to Sherry's Soul Food and/or Crystal Stairs Restaurant. I hope those two businesses have gift cards.

Your region isn't the only place in the country with black-owned businesses, however. If you have a problem with it, fine don't go to them.

 

I don't know, but I'd be willing to bet that this is one of the highest rated, if not THE highest, shopping years that we'll see since 2006. This is already the highest ranked travel season for Thanksgiving since that year.

 

As many trillions as we spend blowing up the Middle East, which also contains problems that will likely always be there.

FWIW money can fix a lot of problems but it doesn't fix mentalities.

It does not, because the actual point of it all, as mentioned in links you posted was to encourage blacks to buy from black-owned businesses. That is not wrong.
