Remember the war on poverty? 1964. Here we are 53 years later and it's worse than ever. These poverty programs are not money generators for the governments balance sheet. The more they grow the more the government is printing phoney money with I.O.U.s. Every year our debt becomes greater and greater and we are having more money outgo than incoming. Sooner or later the government will have to curtail spending and reverse the cash flow or default on payments. Sort of like your household when your credit gets over extended and you can no longer go to the credit cards.

    I rest my case.
The plan is so good to the middle and lower class, you can't even say why. Except the standard deduction doubles. But then neglects to say personal exemptions go away.
And to those who don't take the standard deduction? Taxes go up?

What other means do people with no savings or investment depend on Lesh?

At least try and keep up or be somewhat attune to the conversation, it's SS, and other means of social programs, right? :We told you so "Entitlement "reform" next on the GOP agenda"

Not "necessarily"...but in millions of cases they do (especially for homeowners).

They sure as hell don't go down more than a few pennies if at all

60% will realize a tax savings. 7% will realize a tax increase. And all will benefit from the ~ 3% gdp productivity growth as opposed to the Obama ~ 1% gdp productivity growth.

Have you done any homework on the tax reform except letting MSNBC do your thinking for you ??

I thought you were denigrating people collecting Social Security (although you took your time admitting it if you ever did). Weren't you saying something about "sitting on your ass" waiting for your check?

    I'll go look

Exactly WHAT welfare are you talking about?

    SNAP? LIHEAP?

    Or Social Security/Medicare/Medicaid...

Referring to what you would do away with...your response was

Oi, the brain pain when someone doesn' understand that "deficit over ten years" is not "the deficit". The GOP tax bill, even if you take the most critical analysis of it, will still cost substantially less than Obamacare. If you take the analysis most favorable to it, it'll cost at most nothing. Because it also closes trillions of dollars in loopholes from "the deficit" (<---see,this is why "deficit" and "deficit over 10 years" matters).

As far as cutting people off welfare: actually it works. The GOP in Maine did welfare reform, booted many people off of the system, and the average incomes of those booted off have since doubled.

With other entitlement benefits, like SS, the system was never intended as a 10+year retirement system. When it was created you had to be 65 to benefit, and the life expectancy was 62. We'e having more retiring than entering the workforce, we'r going to need to tighten our belt to keep the system working. There's nothing evil or cruel about thay - we're trying to keep the system alive and fair.

Ah yes, classic socialism. Somehow keeping the money that you earn is "welfare", because you guys somehow see every penny earned that isn' taxed as a "gift" from the government. May as well be communist

The same thing happened after Welfare reform in the late 90's. D's predicted women and children starving in the streets. Instead employment went up and no body starved to death. Imagine that.

    Don't necessarily?
So you aren't confident. And you don't know what's in the supposed tax cut that may not be a tax cut. Unless one is in the upper brackets.
    Or a corporation.
You, like the the repubs, are doing a terrible job at showing how this is a tax cut for the middle and lower class.
Why is that? It's not really a tax cut?

No actually they didn't predict that.'
They DID predict that people like you wouldn't be satisfied with that however and would go after EIC as well as Medicare,Medicaid, SNap Social Security..

And look...you are doing just that

    Wait...you're playing word games.

Are you claiming that these tax cuts won't add 1.5 trillion to the DEBT?

    Cause you'd be wrong.

And how much are you claiming Obama care added to the debt?
