    This shutdown is the fault of Trump, Schumer, and Mitch. No amount of BS or calling Sen. Duckworth a far left Demkcratvwill change that fact.

    The DACA thing has not what is harming the military. The lack of an Anya. budget is and that is the fault of both parties and the Trumpocity for nor coming up with a compromise.

    I understand that I may not like what the compromise on illegal aliens would be since very likely it will be too lenient. But I am willing to accept somev things that I do not like if we can get back to a sane federal budget process on an annual basis.

    I do understand that it is not feasible to identify, collect , and transport all illegal aliens out of here. SonInwould accept a logical compromise. If that compromise is that we provide a path legal living as legal immigrants to more DACAlites than we feel is necessary and get budget stability fifes while so be it. You do notice that I not said to grant them easy access to citizenship but I did say a path to being able to live here legally which is not the same thing wince we could extend the waiting period fir applying fir citizenship fir DACAs ton10 years from the 5 that my parents had to wait. It did not matter to me since I was almost 3 when I showed up here and the minimum age fir cutizenship is 18.

    I dealt with it. I called her pathetic and a political ideologue spewing hate and lies.

    I really don't care if you disagree or think that doesn't address her comments. There is nothing to address. IMO, she is wrong and is trying to hide behind America's best to spew her ideological propaganda.

    Look up what the Dems did in 2010, when they controlled Congress and started this modern day Continuing Resolution hell Congress goes through all the time.

    I agree, there should be an annual budget and funding based on passage of that budget. Adjustments can be made along the way and other funding requirements come along.

    However, that is not where we are, and Schumer shoved DACA into the House Bill, causing the current situation. That is a fact, and is inescapable.

    It is Schumer's Shutdown, period.

    I am a retired NonCom who served in Vietnam who see Trump as a lying bald faced coward who **** on men such as McCain and is now lying about his support for the military and support for Veterans. In addition to that the Trumpocity pissed on the Purple Heart Medal during his campaign. The Trumpocity is not a friend of the military nor is he a supporter of Veterans.

    Continuing resolutions as evil as they are did not start in 2010. The continuing use in 2018 is not the fault of one party or one person.

    A Democrat Senator wounded as a veteran is ranting that it is good that military personnel's pay is cut off and furious that the President wants our troops paid? I guess that big Congressional salary put her above everyone in the military and all the veterans not making a 6 figure income.

    The most recent of my adult children to enlist (3 total and 2 with permanent injuries from combat service) said the there were young men who literally cried when the were rejected for enlistment for what some might see as petty or surgically correctable (or even already corrected) physical conditions. It is just STUPID when anyone claims a person tells the military whether or not they passed the physical - and getting around reasons for rejection is VERY few and far between. Unless you are some super geek or of some other area of rare and extreme skills, the military will NOT waive reasons for rejection - AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT.

    What she says is a lie - a common lie of many Democrats who claim that people do their OWN physical examination for military enlistment. Maybe she is intensely bitter over her injuries and HATES REPUBLICANS because of the Iraq war she lost her legs in - so will forever after spew hatred at all Republicans.

    OK - there are MANY veterans on this forum. WHICH OF YOU WERE ALLOWED TO DO YOUR OWN PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FOR ENLISTMENT LIKE SO MANY DEMOCRATS CLAIM?

    That he was a draft dodger. That is a lie. No one does their own physical examination for enlistment AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. She not only lied, she deliberately lied.

    The military REJECTS anyone with bone spurs. You can beg, plead to be allowed to join, be otherwise in perfect condition, and be able to meet all physical requirements AND YOU STILL WILL BE REJECTED.

    She lied. She knowingly, willfully and deliberately lied calling him a draft dodger.

    CR's have been around for along time. But that is not why we are constantly being used today.

    In 2010, Dems, who controlled Congress, decided not to pass an annual budget. It's been CR ever since.
