E-verify is the real way to stop illegal immigration, not a wall.

Once illegals cannot get a job in the USA, then they wont come to the USA, and the illegals currently here will leave - or will go to the sanctuary cities and overwhelm them, driving those cities bankrupt, which isn't a bad thing to do.

100+ Billion per year. That's what the Illegal Aliens cost us. There's a rational justification if there ever was one to do whatever you can to stem that tide.

We are on the same page

Give the DACAs amnesty as agreed and then deport half of them for cause

If illegals cant get a job the will drop a baby and live on welfare

The best way is to stop most of them at the border and use everify to catch the visa overstays which make up 40% of the illegal population

If the rogue state keeps it up, they might see the National Guard like we saw in Alabama in the 60's.

That certainly has racist overtones about US citizens.

You seem like a reasonable person... accordingly, I'll try to be civil and polite.

I do agree that all facets of our immigration policy do need to work seamlessly or an unmanageable chaos will ensue. Indeed, it has.

First, 'criminality' is an ingredient in this mess -- the criminality of illegal aliens invading the United States to begin with. But, no, I do not blame 'children' for that. But please understand that there is considerably more than the issue of "paper" involved in this also. There was willful breaking of the law by the parents!

We should have processes in place for the DACA offspring to be able to apply for work permits (Green Cards?) and/or legal citizenship -- and, because of their special circumstances, process those in an expedited (but not automatic, or 'universal' manner). But there should not (NOT) be any "amnesty" for anyone who was actively involved in any of this -- least of all the DACA parents who did deliberately break our country's laws. If none of us, not Democrats or Republicans, supports criminal activity or behavior, there can surely be no disagreement about that....

What is baffling is that Trump did not say that he was immediately going to decree that all the DACA kids were going to be deported. He said early last September that the policies were going to be revisited in March 2018, and that Congress should begin deliberating what changes would be made. In early November, Trump reminded Congress that DACA is its own stand-alone set of issues and that it must not be co-mingled with funding for the entire government of the United States.

And yet, here we are in January, two months before the long-announced March time frame for deliberations to be set, and what did the Democrat congressional leadership do? Suddenly, they're coming out fighting Trump 'hammer and tongs', doing everything they can to make him look like a tyrant and a fool, while threatening to shut down the entire government with a filibuster! Why would they do that, except to grind their political axes?

Now nobody knows what is going to happen. Evidently, we'll get to go through this whole dismal, disgusting mess again in a couple of weeks, and the planned meetings for March are thrown into even more uncertainty and disarray. And I blame Democrats alone for this -- there was nothing beneficial in this DACA disaster for any Republican....

    Cite please.

And, be sure your cite includes the value of the work these people do, the taxes they pay, etc.

Any work illegal aliens are doing could be done by Americans

We have a large and healthy population of welfare bums that need jobs whether they want them or not

They can debate the immigration issue for eternity for all I care. While they do, the law as it currently stands needs to be enforced. DACA was an executive order in contradiction of that law

    You are correct

On immigration trump holds the trump cards

All he has to do is enforce the laws that are already on the books

The only thing any of these invaders deserve is to be tossed over the wall.

3.6 million new people on multiple forms of welfare.

    That's what this means.

    It means less for Americans.

It means fewer Americans get help.

It also means 3.6 million new votes for the DNC which is what this is all about.

If you support this you're a ****ing scumbag traitor.

I don't need to. You keep injecting "race" into situation that's not appropriate. Tell us about these Mexicans and South Americans..........what race are they?

With chain immigration 3.6 million DACAs mean 5 to 15 million more family members who can follow them to America also

America used to do big things ... win three world wars, put a man on the moon. All that's gone. Now we just take in illegals and argue about how much income to redistribute.

    We suck.

And countless millions of births from the principle amount of invaders + the chain migration amount + the exponential compound growth of more invaders to come.

We handed our future to these people.

I'm glad I'll be long dead when the inevitable happens, the 3rd world'ing of America.
