"I am pretty sure it topped 3 percent in 2017" is false.

That picture does you justice, Robert. The economy this year is motoring along at Obama speeds from the last two years.

And we read "The economy expanded at an annualized rate of 2.6 percent from October through December, below the 3 percent many administration officials and outside economists had expected.

Altogether, the economy grew 2.3 percent last year,
better than the year before, but short of what President Trump has been promising. The report on gross domestic product, a broad measure of economic activity, cut against the recent round of celebration by the president and his aides about the soaring stock market and U.S. companies delivering tax cut-inspired bonuses to their workers."

    Thats really dumb

Trump had a legal deferment 50 years ago and that is the basis of your hate towards him now?

I dont believe even you can be that out of touch with current events

Is it worth it ?? many of us run into the BS artist who never served who try to impress people especially if there are girls around. I recall over the years that I once almost got into a physical fight with a gebonee who told the BS type of story I call the "Cousin Vinny Story". This jerk off tried to cover up for his failure to serve by telling us about his invisible cousin who of course was a Green Beret who his "platoon" ( note Greenie Beenies worked in units called teams ) got surrounded and they ran out of ammunition and their M16's jammed so they fought hand to hand but Cousin Vinny took an AK47 from a Viet Long he killed with his own hands he killed the entire bunch of Viet Cong and he saved his "platoon". The general was so impressed that he got an "instant promotion" to a "Captain or a Major". If the schmuck was in the military or if he had a Cousin Vinny he would know that it is call a battlefield commission and the promotion is to the lowest officer rank 2nd LOUEY ( or ensign if it was Navy). Now days the liars have Cousin Vinnies who served 4 or 5 tours of duty and one guy once tried to claim that his "Cousin Vinny" served in the Army airborne first tour in Iraq, then joined the marines because the Airborne was not tough enough for him and then on his 4 th tour became a Navy Seal.

So the liars whether they lie about their own service or their "Cousin Vinny " will hang themselves if we give them enough road.

My complaint with the Air Force was that my entire training for SEA _ South East Asia deployment ( aka Vietnam) was to qualify again this time with a M16 ( M1 carbine in basic) , we watched a movie that was made maybe during the Korean war showing an MP, a cook, and a "titless WAC" playing cards they get attacked they grabbed their yes M1 carbines and fought off the attackers. We were handed an English to Vietnamese phrase book and our geneva convention card that neither the Cong nor the NVA were signatories to.

They never told Oh forgot the highlight was and i am serious this one was fun we got to fire a 20 round mag with the M16 in full auto of course manually controlling for bursts.

Acclaim is not the word you're looking for here. Wild is accurate however.

Only that we won't catch everyone. It would be my intention to catch most of them.
E-verify would stop them from getting a job. I'm fine with getting rid of anyone we catch.
There's no evidence illegals are voting in any significant numbers. Even the logic makes no sense. Why would anyone risk their neck to vote when a single vote isn't going to make that much difference?

As I said, the deal would be to resolve the situation with most illegals here in return and as part of setting up the national ID system and strict enforcement of immigration laws in the future.
I think there's a deal to be had for truly effective enforcement in return for what amounts to an amnesty for a lot of the illegals here now.

If I was King* (*yeah, sure), I would let illegals come out of the shadows over a period of six months to sign up for the Nexus-like pass with their stay here subject to a criminal background check (they'd have their fingerprints taken) and no illegal who fails to sign up during that period would be entitled to sign up inside the country in the future. To avoid a flood of illegals coming across the border during the sign up period, I'd have a lot of troops at the border during that time.

Once everyone has the card--say, a year or so--the system would be in place. Anyone caught here after that? Out. No amnesty, ever. We can issue the card to everyone who gets a visa, even to visit. Remember, the card is tied to a database, so just getting the card does you no good in terms of getting your foot in the door.
It's not really about those illegals here now, but instead about the future. We're better off with a largely merit based system (largely, not exclusively) and one where we get a blend of immigrants so we don't have an influx of a single culture. We also control how many come.

When I chopped cotton, and as an America citizen, hard to find cheaper labor than was on the cotton farm. I don't recall Mexicans chopping cotton with us. I cut grapes too. Was no way to get rich fast. Picking currents too. What a slow way to make money.

My first try at business was mowing lawns. Some lawns were far too hard for a child of my then age, around 8 years old, and I could rent the mower to some home owners. I also sold goods mailed to me by companies which gave me the experience of going door to door. The grade school had field trips and to the Circus, we were expected to have our parents pay. Mine were too poor thus I mowed lawns to pay to go to the Circus in Oakland, CA. I was

My next business was the car wash. I made a deal with the gas station owner to use his water and wash cars. He figured when they got the car washed, there was a good chance they would also want to fill up the tank with gasoline. I did this in the summer between my Jr and Sr years of high school. I made some decent money washing cars. (continuation of post 965)

Funny innit how when we used to call out Clinton and Obama for lying, we were told all of them lie. This seems to be different. Along with the fact that much is made of nothing whatsoever. Who won the argument over crowd size. It angered Obama's sycophants is about the sum of the deal on that. They ignored the full areas of the park to fight with Trump over crowd size of all things.

There is a legal term that covers Trump. It is known as Puffery. It is not illegal at all, but during it he brags. I pay little attention to bragging since all politicians brag.

My brother-in-law ran a winery in Napa, CA and went out of his way to hire legal Americans for the vineyard. The few he could find to work at $15/hour (about 10 years ago) quit within a day or two.

Nobody has records on how many illegals vote, but it is so simple for them to vote. They do not get caught. Democrats remind us all the time they do not get caught. I shrug it off when they deny the illegals vote.

A good instruction was done by Obama to an illegal.

Some whine they did not see the entire video. But watch Gina Rodriguez explain non citizens and their worry of being deported and hear Obama tell her it is fine for illegals to vote.

I and a white high school student went to the Livermore Valley and cut grapes. We were not paid per hour, they paid us per box cut. Cutting grapes is boring. Very very boring. All day long all you do is find grapes and cut them off the vine.

You started a bit sooner than I did.

I took care of horses from 10-13 ... you know, clean the barn, feed 'em, and even ride them when I got a bit older. I took care of baseball fields when I was 14-15. When I hit 16, I worked in a grocery store, first as a box boy, then janitor, and finally as a clerk. Made $3.05 an hour in 1963. That would be $24.43/hour today. We got double-time on Sunday. Can you imagine a grocery clerk getting almost $50/hour today?

Why would an illegal risk his neck voting? It doesn't make sense. People aren't that stupid.
I didn't support Obama and I really don't care what he had to say.

You're going to be disappointed in our results if we don't, both public and private, improve worker training, build our infrastructure, and put more into R&D. So far, Trump hasn't fixed these problems.

We need to cut investing in the twin dead assets of residential housing and motor vehicles. How about setting the maximum length for a car loan at 48 months and mortgages at 25 years?
