Is there a Right to own a gun; Ethics of Gun Ownership

Don't need the word right in there. Just defend yourself. Its legal in the US....because we made it that way.

 

We have a right to life, and as such a right to defend that life. That is the most fundamental natural right there is.

Where is the list? I can't seem to find it. How do you know what all your natural rights are if we can't even agree on a list?

 

Actually I will correct myself. You do have that right. Its is a legal one created by the US government.

Nope. Even the courts have ruled that the rights codified in the Constitution are preexisting and not dependent upon the Constitution for their existence. Epic fail on your part.

I would be fine with judicial review, provided they had proper respect for constitutional rights. However, when the courts issue rulings that are in clear defiance of Constitutional intent, they destroy their own credibility.

Responding to the title of the thread, yes there is a right to own guns which is guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment.
